4. Paµhamad±rukkhandhopamasutta½

241. Eka½ samaya½ bhagav± kosambiya½ viharati gaªg±ya nadiy± t²re. Addas± kho bhagav± mahanta½ d±rukkhandha½ gaªg±ya nadiy± sotena vuyham±na½. Disv±na bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “passatha no tumhe, bhikkhave, amu½ mahanta½ d±rukkhandha½ gaªg±ya nadiy± sotena vuyham±nan”ti? “Eva½, bhante”. “Sace so, bhikkhave, d±rukkhandho na orima½ t²ra½ upagacchati, na p±rima½ t²ra½ upagacchati, na majjhe sa½s²dissati, na thale uss²dissati, na manussagg±ho gahessati, na amanussagg±ho gahessati, na ±vaµµagg±ho gahessati, na antop³ti bhavissati; evañhi so, bhikkhave, d±rukkhandho samuddaninno bhavissati samuddapoºo samuddapabbh±ro. Ta½ kissa hetu? Samuddaninno, bhikkhave, gaªg±ya nadiy± soto samuddapoºo samuddapabbh±ro.
“Evameva kho, bhikkhave, sace tumhepi na orima½ t²ra½ upagacchatha, na p±rima½ t²ra½ upagacchatha; na majjhe sa½s²dissatha, na thale uss²dissatha, na manussagg±ho gahessati, na amanussagg±ho gahessati, na ±vaµµagg±ho gahessati, na antop³t² bhavissatha; eva½ tumhe bhikkhave, nibb±naninn± bhavissatha nibb±napoº± nibb±napabbh±r±. Ta½ kissa hetu? Nibb±naninn±, bhikkhave, samm±diµµhi nibb±napoº± nibb±napabbh±r±”ti. Eva½ vutte, aññataro bhikkhu bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “ki½ nu kho, bhante, orima½ t²ra½, ki½ p±rima½ t²ra½, ko majjhe sa½s±do [sa½s²do (ka.), sa½s²dito (sy±. ka½.)], ko thale uss±do, ko manussagg±ho, ko amanussagg±ho, ko ±vaµµagg±ho, ko antop³tibh±vo”ti?
“‘Orima½ t²ran’ti kho, bhikkhu, channeta½ ajjhattik±na½ ±yatan±na½ adhivacana½. ‘P±rima½ t²ran’ti kho bhikkhu, channeta½ b±hir±na½ ±yatan±na½ adhivacana½. ‘Majjhe sa½s±do’ti kho, bhikkhu, nand²r±gasseta½ adhivacana½. ‘Thale uss±do’ti kho, bhikkhu, asmim±nasseta½ adhivacana½.
“Katamo ca, bhikkhu, manussagg±ho? Idha, bhikkhu, gih²hi sa½saµµho [gihisa½saµµho (ka.)] viharati, sahanand² sahasok², sukhitesu sukhito, dukkhitesu dukkhito, uppannesu kiccakaraº²yesu attan± tesu yoga½ ±pajjati. Aya½ vuccati, bhikkhu, manussagg±ho.
“Katamo ca, bhikkhu, amanussagg±ho? Idha, bhikkhu, ekacco aññatara½ devanik±ya½ paºidh±ya brahmacariya½ carati– ‘imin±ha½ s²lena v± vatena v± tapena v± brahmacariyena v± devo v± bhaviss±mi devaññataro v±’ti. Aya½ vuccati, bhikkhu, amanussagg±ho. ‘¾vaµµagg±ho’ti kho, bhikkhu, pañcanneta½ k±maguº±na½ adhivacana½.
“Katamo ca, bhikkhu, antop³tibh±vo? Idha, bhikkhu, ekacco duss²lo hoti p±padhammo asucisaªkassarasam±c±ro paµicchannakammanto assamaºo samaºapaµiñño abrahmac±r² brahmac±ripaµiñño antop³ti avassuto kasambuj±to. Aya½ vuccati, bhikkhu, ‘antop³tibh±vo”’ti.
Tena kho pana samayena nando gop±lako bhagavato avid³re µhito hoti. Atha kho nando gop±lako bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “aha½ kho, bhante, na orima½ t²ra½ upagacch±mi, na p±rima½ t²ra½ upagacch±mi, na majjhe sa½s²diss±mi, na thale uss²diss±mi, na ma½ manussagg±ho gahessati, na amanussagg±ho gahessati, na ±vaµµagg±ho gahessati, na antop³ti bhaviss±mi. Labheyy±ha½, bhante, bhagavato santike pabbajja½, labheyya½ upasampadan”ti. “Tena hi tva½, nanda, s±mik±na½ g±vo niyy±teh²”ti [n²yy±deh²ti (s².), niyy±deh²ti (sy±. ka½. p².)]. “Gamissanti, bhante, g±vo vacchagiddhiniyo”ti. “Niyy±teheva tva½, nanda, s±mik±na½ g±vo”ti. Atha kho nando gop±lako s±mik±na½ g±vo niyy±tetv± yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “niyy±tit± [niyy±t± (sy±. ka½. ka. s². aµµha.)], bhante, s±mik±na½ g±vo. Labheyy±ha½, bhante, bhagavato santike pabbajja½, labheyya½ upasampadan”ti. Alattha kho nando gop±lako bhagavato santike pabbajja½, alattha upasampada½. Acir³pasampanno ca pan±yasm± nando eko v³pakaµµho…pe… aññataro ca pan±yasm± nando arahata½ ahos²ti. Catuttha½.
