206. Eka½ samaya½ bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati jetavane. Bhagav± etadavoca “kismi½ nu kho, bhikkhave, sati, ki½ up±d±ya, ki½ abhinivissa eva½ diµµhi uppajjati– ‘na v±t± v±yanti, na najjo sandanti, na gabbhiniyo vij±yanti, na candimas³riy± udenti v± apenti v± esikaµµh±yiµµhit±”’ti?
“Bhagava½m³lak± no, bhante, dhamm± bhagava½nettik± bhagava½paµisaraº±. S±dhu vata, bhante, bhagavantaññeva paµibh±tu etassa bh±sitassa attho. Bhagavato sutv± bhikkh³ dh±ressant²”ti. “Tena hi, bhikkhave, suº±tha, s±dhuka½ manasi karotha; bh±siss±m²”ti. “Eva½, bhante”ti kho te bhikkh³ bhagavato paccassosu½. Bhagav± etadavoca–

Vedan±ya sati…pe… saññ±ya sati… saªkh±resu sati… viññ±ºe sati, viññ±ºa½ up±d±ya, viññ±ºa½ abhinivissa eva½ diµµhi uppajjati– ‘na v±t± v±yanti, na najjo sandanti, na gabbhiniyo vij±yanti, na candimas³riy± udenti v± apenti v± esikaµµh±yiµµhit±’ti. “Vedan± nicc± v± anicc± v±”ti… “saññ±… saªkh±r±… viññ±ºa½ nicca½ v± anicca½ v±”ti? “Anicca½, bhante”. “Ya½ pan±nicca½ dukkha½ v± ta½ sukha½ v±”ti? “Dukkha½, bhante”. “Ya½ pan±nicca½ dukkha½ vipariº±madhamma½, api nu ta½ anup±d±ya eva½ diµµhi uppajjeyya– ‘na v±t± v±yanti, na najjo sandanti, na gabbhiniyo vij±yanti, na candimas³riy± udenti v± apenti v± esikaµµh±yiµµhit±”’ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Yampida½ [yamida½ (aññattha)] diµµha½ suta½ muta½ viññ±ta½ patta½ pariyesita½ anuvicarita½ manas± tampi nicca½ v± anicca½ v±”ti? “Anicca½, bhante”. “Ya½ pan±nicca½ dukkha½ v± ta½ sukha½ v±”ti? “Dukkha½, bhante”. “Ya½ pan±nicca½ dukkha½ vipariº±madhamma½, api nu ta½ anup±d±ya eva½ diµµhi uppajjeyya– ‘na v±t± v±yanti, na najjo sandanti, na gabbhiniyo vij±yanti, na candimas³riy± udenti v± apenti v± esikaµµh±yiµµhit±”’ti? “No heta½, bhante”.
“Yato kho, bhikkhave, ariyas±vakassa imesu ca [imesu chasu (s². sy±. ka½. p².) evamuparipi] µh±nesu kaªkh± pah²n± hoti, dukkhepissa kaªkh± pah²n± hoti, dukkhasamudayepissa kaªkh± pah²n± hoti, dukkhanirodhepissa kaªkh± pah²n± hoti, dukkhanirodhag±miniy± paµipad±yapissa kaªkh± pah²n± hoti– aya½ vuccati, bhikkhave, ariyas±vako sot±panno avinip±tadhammo niyato sambodhipar±yano”ti.
