160. S±vatthinid±na½ Atha kho ±yasm± r±dho yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho ±yasm± r±dho bhagavanta½ etadavoca–
“‘M±ro, m±ro’ti, bhante, vuccati. Kitt±vat± nu kho, bhante, m±ro”ti? “R³pe kho, r±dha, sati m±ro v± assa m±ret± v± yo v± pana m²yati. Tasm±tiha tva½, r±dha, r³pa½ m±roti passa, m±ret±ti passa, m²yat²ti passa, rogoti passa, gaº¹oti passa, sallanti passa, aghanti passa, aghabh³tanti passa. Ye na½ eva½ passanti te samm± passanti. Vedan±ya sati… saññ±ya sati… saªkh±resu sati… viññ±ºe sati m±ro v± assa m±ret± v± yo v± pana m²yati. Tasm±tiha tva½, r±dha, viññ±ºa½ m±roti passa, m±ret±ti passa, m²yat²ti passa, rogoti passa, gaº¹oti passa, sallanti passa, aghanti passa, aghabh³tanti passa. Ye na½ eva½ passanti, te samm± passant²”ti.
“Samm±dassana½ pana, bhante, kimatthiyan”ti? “Samm±dassana½ kho, r±dha, nibbidattha½”. “Nibbid± pana, bhante, kimatthiy±”ti? “Nibbid± kho, r±dha, vir±gatth±”. “Vir±go pana, bhante kimatthiyo”ti? “Vir±go kho, r±dha, vimuttattho”. “Vimutti pana, bhante, kimatthiy±”ti? “Vimutti kho, r±dha, nibb±natth±”. “Nibb±na½ pana, bhante, kimatthiyan”ti? “Accay±si [accasar± (s². sy±. ka½.), assa (p².), accay± (ka.)], r±dha, pañha½, n±sakkhi pañhassa pariyanta½ gahetu½. Nibb±nogadhañhi, r±dha, brahmacariya½ vussati, nibb±napar±yana½ nibb±napariyos±nan”ti. Paµhama½.
