1. Pariv²ma½sanasutta½

51. Eva½ me suta½– eka½ samaya½ bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati jetavane an±thapiº¹ikassa ±r±me. Tatra kho bhagav± bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “bhikkhavo”ti. “Bhadante”ti te bhikkh³ bhagavato paccassosu½. Bhagav± etadavoca–
“Kitt±vat± nu kho, bhikkhave, bhikkh³ pariv²ma½sam±no pariv²ma½seyya sabbaso samm± dukkhakkhay±y±”ti? “Bhagava½m³lak± no, bhante, dhamm± bhagava½nettik± bhagava½paµisaraº± S±dhu vata, bhante, bhagavanta½yeva paµibh±tu etassa bh±sitassa attho. Bhagavato sutv± bhikkh³ dh±ressant²”ti. “Tena hi, bhikkhave, suº±tha, s±dhuka½ manasi karotha, bh±siss±m²”ti. “Eva½, bhante”ti kho te bhikkh³ bhagavato paccassosu½. Bhagav± etadavoca–
“Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pariv²ma½sam±no pariv²ma½sati– ‘ya½ kho ida½ anekavidha½ n±nappak±raka½ dukkha½ loke uppajjati jar±maraºa½; ida½ nu kho dukkha½ ki½nid±na½ ki½samudaya½ ki½j±tika½ ki½pabhava½? Kismi½ sati jar±maraºa½ hoti, kismi½ asati jar±maraºa½ na hot²’ti? So pariv²ma½sam±no eva½ paj±n±ti– ‘ya½ kho ida½ anekavidha½ n±nappak±raka½ dukkha½ loke uppajjati jar±maraºa½, ida½ kho dukkha½ j±tinid±na½ j±tisamudaya½ j±tij±tika½ j±tippabhava½. J±tiy± sati jar±maraºa½ hoti, j±tiy± asati jar±maraºa½ na hot²”’ti.
“So jar±maraºañca paj±n±ti, jar±maraºasamudayañca paj±n±ti, jar±maraºanirodhañca paj±n±ti, y± ca jar±maraºanirodhas±ruppag±min² paµipad± tañca paj±n±ti, tath± paµipanno ca hoti anudhammac±r²; aya½ vuccati, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sabbaso samm± dukkhakkhay±ya paµipanno jar±maraºanirodh±ya.
“Ath±para½ pariv²ma½sam±no pariv²ma½sati– ‘j±ti pan±ya½ ki½nid±n± ki½samuday± ki½j±tik± ki½pabhav±, kismi½ sati j±ti hoti, kismi½ asati j±ti na hot²’ti? So pariv²ma½sam±no eva½ paj±n±ti– ‘j±ti bhavanid±n± bhavasamuday± bhavaj±tik± bhavappabhav±; bhave sati j±ti hoti, bhave asati j±ti na hot²”’ti.
“So j±tiñca paj±n±ti, j±tisamudayañca paj±n±ti, j±tinirodhañca paj±n±ti, y± ca j±tinirodhas±ruppag±min² paµipad± tañca paj±n±ti, tath± paµipanno ca hoti anudhammac±r²; aya½ vuccati, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sabbaso samm± dukkhakkhay±ya paµipanno j±tinirodh±ya.
“Ath±para½ pariv²ma½sam±no pariv²ma½sati– ‘bhavo pan±ya½ ki½nid±no…pe… up±d±na½ panida½ ki½nid±na½… taºh± pan±ya½ ki½nid±n±… vedan±… phasso… sa¼±yatana½ panida½ ki½nid±na½… n±mar³pa½ panida½… viññ±ºa½ panida½… saªkh±r± panime ki½nid±n± ki½samuday± ki½j±tik± ki½pabhav±; kismi½ sati saªkh±r± honti, kismi½ asati saªkh±r± na hont²’ti? So pariv²ma½sam±no eva½ paj±n±ti– ‘saªkh±r± avijj±nid±n± avijj±samuday± avijj±j±tik± avijj±pabhav±; avijj±ya sati saªkh±r± honti, avijj±ya asati saªkh±r± na hont²”’ti.
“So saªkh±re ca paj±n±ti, saªkh±rasamudayañca paj±n±ti, saªkh±ranirodhañca paj±n±ti, y± ca saªkh±ranirodhas±ruppag±min² paµipad± tañca paj±n±ti, tath± paµipanno ca hoti anudhammac±r² aya½ vuccati, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sabbaso samm± dukkhakkhay±ya paµipanno saªkh±ranirodh±ya.
“Avijj±gato ya½, bhikkhave, purisapuggalo puñña½ ce saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, puññ³paga½ hoti viññ±ºa½. Apuñña½ ce saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti, apuññ³paga½ hoti viññ±ºa½. ¾neñja½ ce saªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti ±neñj³paga½ hoti viññ±ºa½. Yato kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno avijj± pah²n± hoti vijj± uppann±, so avijj±vir±g± vijjupp±d± neva puññ±bhisaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti na apuññ±bhisaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti na ±neñj±bhisaªkh±ra½ abhisaªkharoti. Anabhisaªkharonto anabhisañcetayanto na kiñci loke up±diyati; anup±diya½ na paritassati, aparitassa½ paccattaññeva parinibb±yati. ‘Kh²º± j±ti, vusita½ brahmacariya½, kata½ karaº²ya½, n±para½ itthatt±y±’ti paj±n±ti.
“So sukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, s± anicc±ti paj±n±ti, anajjhosit±ti paj±n±ti, anabhinandit±ti paj±n±ti. Dukkha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, s± anicc±ti paj±n±ti, anajjhosit±ti paj±n±ti, anabhinandit±ti paj±n±ti. Adukkhamasukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, s± anicc±ti paj±n±ti, anajjhosit±ti paj±n±ti, anabhinandit±ti paj±n±ti. So sukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, visa½yutto na½ vedayati. Dukkha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, visa½yutto na½ [ta½ vedana½ (s². p².), vedana½ (ka.)] vedayati. Adukkhamasukha½ ce vedana½ vedayati, visa½yutto na½ vedayati.
“So k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²ti paj±n±ti, j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²ti paj±n±ti. K±yassa bhed± uddha½ j²vitapariy±d±n± idheva sabbavedayit±ni anabhinandit±ni s²t²bhavissanti, sar²r±ni avasissant²ti paj±n±ti.
“Seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, puriso kumbhak±rap±k± uºha½ kumbha½ uddharitv± same bh³mibh±ge paµisisseyya [paµiviseyya (s².), patiµµhapeyya (sy±. ka½. p².), paµiseveyya (µ²k±)]. Tatra y±ya½ usm± s± tattheva v³pasameyya, kapall±ni avasisseyyu½. Evameva kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no k±yapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²ti paj±n±ti, j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ vedayam±no j²vitapariyantika½ vedana½ veday±m²ti paj±n±ti. K±yassa bhed± uddha½ j²vitapariy±d±n± idheva sabbavedayit±ni anabhinandit±ni s²t²bhavissanti, sar²r±ni avasissant²ti paj±n±ti.
“Ta½ ki½ maññatha, bhikkhave, api nu kho kh²º±savo bhikkhu puññ±bhisaªkh±ra½ v± abhisaªkhareyya apuññ±bhisaªkh±ra½ v± abhisaªkhareyya ±neñj±bhisaªkh±ra½ v± abhisaªkhareyy±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana saªkh±resu asati, saªkh±ranirodh± api nu kho viññ±ºa½ paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana viññ±ºe asati, viññ±ºanirodh± api nu kho n±mar³pa½ paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana n±mar³pe asati, n±mar³panirodh± api nu kho sa¼±yatana½ paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana sa¼±yatane asati, sa¼±yatananirodh± api nu kho phasso paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana phasse asati, phassanirodh± api nu kho vedan± paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana vedan±ya asati, vedan±nirodh± api nu kho taºh± paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana taºh±ya asati, taºh±nirodh± api nu kho up±d±na½ paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana up±d±ne asati, up±d±nanirodh± api nu kho bhavo paññ±yeth±”ti. “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana bhave asati, bhavanirodh± api nu kho j±ti paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”. “Sabbaso v± pana j±tiy± asati, j±tinirodh± api nu kho jar±maraºa½ paññ±yeth±”ti? “No heta½, bhante”.
“S±dhu s±dhu, bhikkhave, evameta½, bhikkhave, neta½ aññath±. Saddahatha me ta½, bhikkhave, adhimuccatha, nikkaªkh± ettha hotha nibbicikicch±. Esevanto dukkhass±”ti. Paµhama½.
