154. Eka½ samaya½ ±yasm± mah±kassapo r±jagahe viharati ve¼uvane kalandakaniv±pe. Tena kho pana samayena ±yasm± ±nando dakkhiºagirismi½ c±rika½ carati mahat± bhikkhusaªghena saddhi½.
Tena kho pana samayena ±yasmato ±nandassa ti½samatt± saddhivih±rino bhikkh³ sikkha½ paccakkh±ya h²n±y±vatt± bhavanti yebhuyyena kum±rabh³t±. Atha kho ±yasm± ±nando dakkhiºagirismi½ yath±bhiranta½ c±rika½ caritv± yena r±jagaha½ ve¼uvana½ kalandakaniv±po yen±yasm± mah±kassapo tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± ±yasmanta½ mah±kassapa½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinna½ kho ±yasmanta½ ±nanda½ ±yasm± mah±kassapo etadavoca– “kati nu kho, ±vuso ±nanda, atthavase paµicca bhagavat± kulesu tikabhojana½ paññattan”ti?
“Tayo kho, bhante kassapa, atthavase paµicca bhagavat± kulesu tikabhojana½ paññatta½– dummaªk³na½ puggal±na½ niggah±ya pesal±na½ bhikkh³na½ ph±suvih±r±ya, m± p±picch± pakkha½ niss±ya saªgha½ bhindeyyu½ [vinayapiµake c³¼avagge sa½ghabhedakakkhandhake vajirabuddhiya½ aññath± sambandho dassito], kul±nuddayat±ya ca. Ime kho, bhante kassapa, tayo atthavase paµicca bhagavat± kulesu tikabhojana½ paññattan”ti.
“Atha kiñcarahi tva½, ±vuso ±nanda, imehi navehi bhikkh³hi indriyesu aguttadv±rehi bhojane amattaññ³hi j±gariya½ ananuyuttehi saddhi½ c±rika½ carasi? Sassagh±ta½ maññe carasi, kul³pagh±ta½ maññe carasi. Olujjati [ullujjati (s². aµµhakath±su ca)] kho te, ±vuso ±nanda, paris±; palujjanti kho te, ±vuso, navapp±y±. Na v±ya½ kum±rako mattamaññ±s²”ti.
“Api me, bhante kassapa, sirasmi½ palit±ni j±t±ni. Atha ca pana maya½ ajj±pi ±yasmato mah±kassapassa kum±rakav±d± na mucc±m±”ti. “Tath± hi pana tva½, ±vuso ±nanda, imehi navehi bhikkh³hi indriyesu aguttadv±rehi bhojane amattaññ³hi j±gariya½ ananuyuttehi saddhi½ c±rika½ carasi, sassagh±ta½ maññe carasi, kul³pagh±ta½ maññe carasi. Olujjati kho te, ±vuso ±nanda, paris±; palujjanti kho te, ±vuso, navapp±y±. [Palujjati kho te ±vuso ±nanda paris± (ka. s².)] na v±ya½ kum±rako mattamaññ±s²”ti.
Assosi kho thullanand± bhikkhun²– “ayyena kira mah±kassapena ayyo ±nando vedehamuni kum±rakav±dena apas±dito”ti.
Atha kho thullanand± bhikkhun² anattaman± anattamanav±ca½ nicch±resi– “ki½ pana ayyo mah±kassapo aññatitthiyapubbo sam±no ayya½ ±nanda½ vedehamuni½ kum±rakav±dena apas±detabba½ maññat²”ti! Assosi kho ±yasm± mah±kassapo thullanand±ya bhikkhuniy± ima½ v±ca½ bh±sam±n±ya.
Atha kho ±yasm± mah±kassapo ±yasmanta½ ±nanda½ etadavoca– “taggh±vuso ±nanda, thullanand±ya bhikkhuniy± sahas± appaµisaªkh± v±c± bh±sit±. Yatv±ha½, ±vuso, kesamassu½ oh±retv± k±s±y±ni vatth±ni acch±detv± ag±rasm± anag±riya½ pabbajito, n±bhij±n±mi añña½ satth±ra½ uddisit± [uddisitu½ (s². p². ka.)], aññatra tena bhagavat± arahat± samm±sambuddhena. Pubbe me, ±vuso, ag±rikabh³tassa sato etadahosi– ‘samb±dho ghar±v±so raj±patho [rajopatho (s².)], abbhok±so pabbajj±. Nayida½ sukara½ ag±ra½ ajjh±vasat± ekantaparipuººa½ ekantaparisuddha½ saªkhalikhita½ brahmacariya½ caritu½. Ya½n³n±ha½ kesamassu½ oh±retv± k±s±y±ni vatth±ni acch±detv± ag±rasm± anag±riya½ pabbajeyyan’ti. So khv±ha½, ±vuso, aparena samayena paµapilotik±na½ saªgh±µi½ k±retv± [karitv± (s². sy±. ka½. p².)] ye loke arahanto te uddissa kesamassu½ oh±retv± k±s±y±ni vatth±ni acch±detv± ag±rasm± anag±riya½ pabbaji½.
So eva½ pabbajito sam±no addh±namaggappaµipanno addasa½ bhagavanta½ antar± ca r±jagaha½ antar± ca n±¼anda½ bahuputte cetiye nisinna½. Disv±na me etadahosi– ‘satth±rañca vat±ha½ passeyya½, bhagavantameva passeyya½; sugatañca vat±ha½ passeyya½, bhagavantameva passeyya½; samm±sambuddhañca vat±ha½ passeyya½; bhagavantameva passeyyan’ti. So khv±ha½, ±vuso, tattheva bhagavato p±desu siras± nipatitv± bhagavanta½ etadavoca½– ‘satth± me, bhante, bhagav±, s±vakohamasmi; satth± me, bhante, bhagav±, s±vakohamasm²’ti Eva½ vutte ma½, ±vuso, bhagav± etadavoca– ‘yo kho, kassapa, eva½ sabbacetas± samann±gata½ s±vaka½ aj±naññeva vadeyya j±n±m²ti, apassaññeva vadeyya pass±m²ti, muddh±pi tassa vipateyya. Aha½ kho pana, kassapa, j±naññeva vad±mi j±n±m²ti, passaññeva vad±mi pass±m²’ti.
Tasm±tiha te, kassapa, eva½ sikkhitabba½– ‘tibba½ me hirottappa½ paccupaµµhita½ bhavissati theresu navesu majjhimes³’ti. Evañhi te, kassapa, sikkhitabba½.
Tasm±tiha te, kassapa, eva½ sikkhitabba½– ‘ya½ kiñci dhamma½ suºiss±mi kusal³pasa½hita½ sabba½ ta½ aµµhi½ katv± manasi karitv± sabbacetas± samann±haritv± ohitasoto dhamma½ suºiss±m²’ti. Evañhi te, kassapa, sikkhitabba½.
Tasm±tiha te, kassapa, eva½ sikkhitabba½– ‘s±tasahagat± ca me k±yagat±sati na vijahissat²’ti. Evañhi te, kassapa, sikkhitabbanti.
“Atha kho ma½, ±vuso, bhagav± imin± ov±dena ovaditv± uµµh±y±san± pakk±mi. Satt±hameva khv±ha½, ±vuso, saraºo [s±ºo (s².)] raµµhapiº¹a½ bhuñji½”. Aµµhamiy± aññ± udap±di.
“Atha kho, ±vuso, bhagav± magg± okkamma yena aññatara½ rukkham³la½ tenupasaªkami. Atha khv±ha½, ±vuso, paµapilotik±na½ saªgh±µi½ catugguºa½ paññapetv± bhagavanta½ etadavoca½– ‘idha, bhante, bhagav± nis²datu, ya½ mamassa d²gharatta½ hit±ya sukh±y±’ti. Nis²di kho, ±vuso, bhagav± paññatte ±sane. Nisajja kho ma½, ±vuso, bhagav± etadavoca– ‘muduk± kho ty±ya½, kassapa, paµapilotik±na½ saªgh±µ²’ti. ‘Paµiggaºh±tu me, bhante, bhagav± paµapilotik±na½ saªgh±µi½ anukampa½ up±d±y±’ti. ‘Dh±ressasi pana me tva½, kassapa, s±º±ni pa½suk³l±ni nibbasan±n²’ti. ‘Dh±ress±maha½, bhante, bhagavato s±º±ni pa½suk³l±ni nibbasan±n²’ti. “So khv±ha½, ±vuso, paµapilotik±na½ saªgh±µi½ bhagavato p±d±si½. Aha½ pana bhagavato s±º±ni pa½suk³l±ni nibbasan±ni paµipajji½”.
“Yañhi ta½, ±vuso, samm± vadam±no vadeyya– ‘bhagavato putto oraso mukhato j±to dhammajo dhammanimmito dhammad±y±do, paµiggahit±ni [paµiggahet± (s².)] s±º±ni pa½suk³l±ni nibbasan±n²’ti, mama½ ta½ samm± vadam±no vadeyya– ‘bhagavato putto oraso mukhato j±to dhammajo dhammanimmito dhammad±y±do, paµiggahit±ni s±º±ni pa½suk³l±ni nibbasan±n²”’ti.
“Aha½ kho, ±vuso, y±vadeva ±kaªkh±mi vivicceva k±mehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakka½ savic±ra½ vivekaja½ p²tisukha½ paµhama½ jh±na½ upasampajja vihar±mi. Aha½ kho, ±vuso, y±vade ±kaªkh±mi…pe… (navanna½ anupubbavih±rasam±pattina½ pañcannañca abhiññ±na½ eva½ vitth±ro veditabbo)
“Aha½ kho, ±vuso, ±sav±na½ khay± an±sava½ cetovimutti½ paññ±vimutti½ diµµheva dhamme saya½ abhiññ± sacchikatv± upasampajja vihar±mi; sattaratana½ v±, ±vuso, n±ga½ a¹¹haµµhamaratana½ v± t±lapattik±ya ch±detabba½ maññeyya, yo me cha abhiññ± ch±detabba½ maññeyy±”ti.
