151. R±jagahe kalandakaniv±pe [s±vatthi, ±r±me (s².)]. Atha kho ±yasm± mah±kassapo yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinna½ kho ±yasmanta½ mah±kassapa½ bhagav± etadavoca– “ovada, kassapa, bhikkh³; karohi, kassapa, bhikkh³na½ dhammi½ katha½. Aha½ v±, kassapa, bhikkh³na½ ovadeyya½ tva½ v±; aha½ v± bhikkh³na½ dhammi½ katha½ kareyya½ tva½ v±”ti.
“Dubbac± kho, bhante, etarahi bhikkh³, dovacassakaraºehi dhammehi samann±gat±, akkham±, appadakkhiºagg±hino anus±san²n”ti. “Tath± hi pana, kassapa, pubbe ther± bhikkh³ ±raññik± ceva ahesu½ ±raññikattassa ca vaººav±dino, piº¹ap±tik± ceva ahesu½ piº¹ap±tikattassa ca vaººav±dino pa½suk³lik± ceva ahesu½ pa½suk³likattassa ca vaººav±dino, tec²varik± ceva ahesu½ tec²varikattassa ca vaººav±dino, appicch± ceva ahesu½ appicchat±ya ca vaººav±dino, santuµµh± ceva ahesu½ santuµµhiy± ca vaººav±dino, pavivitt± ceva ahesu½ pavivekassa ca vaººav±dino, asa½saµµh± ceva ahesu½ asa½saggassa ca vaººav±dino, ±raddhav²riy± ceva ahesu½ v²riy±rambhassa ca vaººav±dino.
“Tatra yo hoti bhikkhu ±raññiko ceva ±raññikattassa ca vaººav±d², piº¹ap±tiko ceva piº¹ap±tikattassa ca vaººav±d², pa½suk³liko ceva pa½suk³likattassa ca vaººav±d², tec²variko ceva tec²varikattassa ca vaººav±d², appiccho ceva appicchat±ya ca vaººav±d², santuµµho ceva santuµµhiy± ca vaººav±d², pavivitto ceva pavivekassa ca vaººav±d², asa½saµµho ceva asa½saggassa ca vaººav±d², ±raddhav²riyo ceva v²riy±rambhassa ca vaººav±d², ta½ ther± bhikkh³ ±sanena nimantenti– ‘ehi, bhikkhu, ko n±m±ya½ bhikkhu, bhaddako vat±ya½ bhikkhu, sikkh±k±mo vat±ya½ bhikkhu; ehi, bhikkhu, ida½ ±sana½ nis²d±h²”’ti.
“Tatra, kassapa, nav±na½ bhikkh³na½ eva½ hoti– ‘yo kira so hoti bhikkhu ±raññiko ceva ±raññikattassa ca vaººav±d², piº¹ap±tiko ceva…pe… pa½suk³liko ceva… tec²variko ceva… appiccho ceva… santuµµho ceva… pavivitto ceva… asa½saµµho ceva… ±raddhav²riyo ceva v²riy±rambhassa ca vaººav±d², ta½ ther± bhikkh³ ±sanena nimantenti– ehi, bhikkhu, ko n±m±ya½ bhikkhu, bhaddako vat±ya½ bhikkhu, sikkh±k±mo vat±ya½ bhikkhu; ehi, bhikkhu, ida½ ±sana½ nis²d±h²’ti. Te tathatt±ya paµipajjanti; tesa½ ta½ hoti d²gharatta½ hit±ya sukh±ya.
“Etarahi pana, kassapa, ther± bhikkh³ na ceva ±raññik± na ca ±raññikattassa vaººav±dino, na ceva piº¹ap±tik± na ca piº¹ap±tikattassa vaººav±dino, na ceva pa½suk³lik± na ca pa½suk³likattassa vaººav±dino, na ceva tec²varik± na ca tec²varikattassa vaººav±dino, na ceva appicch± na ca appicchat±ya vaººav±dino, na ceva santuµµh± na ca santuµµhiy± vaººav±dino, na ceva pavivitt± na ca pavivekassa vaººav±dino, na ceva asa½saµµh± na ca asa½saggassa vaººav±dino na ceva ±raddhav²riy± na ca v²riy±rambhassa vaººav±dino.
“Tatra yo hoti bhikkhu ñ±to yasass² l±bh² c²vara-piº¹ap±ta-sen±sanagil±nappaccayabhesajjaparikkh±r±na½ ta½ ther± bhikkh³ ±sanena nimantenti– ‘ehi, bhikkhu, ko n±m±ya½ bhikkhu, bhaddako vat±ya½ bhikkhu, sabrahmac±rik±mo vat±ya½ bhikkhu; ehi, bhikkhu, ida½ ±sana½ nis²d±h²”’ti.
“Tatra, kassapa, nav±na½ bhikkh³na½ eva½ hoti– ‘yo kira so hoti bhikkhu ñ±to yasass² l±bh² c²vara-piº¹ap±ta-sen±sana-gil±nappaccayabhesajjaparikkh±r±na½ ta½ ther± bhikkh³ ±sanena nimantenti– ehi, bhikkhu, ko n±m±ya½ bhikkhu, bhaddako vat±ya½ bhikkhu, sabrahmac±rik±mo vat±ya½ bhikkhu; ehi, bhikkhu, ida½ ±sana½ nis²d±h²’ti. Te tathatt±ya paµipajjanti. Tesa½ ta½ hoti d²gharatta½ ahit±ya dukkh±ya. Yañhi ta½, kassapa, samm± vadam±no vadeyya– ‘upaddut± brahmac±r² brahmac±r³paddavena abhipatthan± [abhibhavan± (s².)] brahmac±r² brahmac±ri-abhipatthanen±’ti [brahmac±ri-abhibhavanen±ti (s².)], etarahi ta½, kassapa, samm± vadam±no vadeyya– ‘upaddut± brahmac±r² brahmac±r³paddavena abhipatthan± brahmac±r² brahmac±ri-abhipatthanen±”’ti.
