Eva½ bh³te taºh±maññan±ya maññat²ti vuttanayena bh³te paµicca chandar±ga½ janento tesa½ paµipatti½ ass±dento abhinandanto abhivadanto ajjhos±ya tiµµhanto “²dis² avatth± mama an±gatamaddh±na½ siy±”ti-±din± v± pana nayena tattha nandi½ samann±nento bh³te taºh±maññan±ya maññat²ti attho. Appaµiladdhassa khattiyamah±s±l±dibh±vassa, sampatti½ vipattinti j±tivasena ukkaµµanih²nata½. Dahat²ti µhapeti. Yo evar³po m±noti yo eso “aya½ pubbe may± sadiso, id±ni aya½ seµµho aya½ h²nataro”ti uppanno m±no. Yato kutoc²ti issarapuris±dibhedato yato kutoci. Ek± taºh±maññan±va labbhat²ti idh±pi heµµh± vuttanayena itaramaññan±nampi sambhavo niddh±retabbo. Vuttappak±reyeva bh³te taºh±diµµh²hi abhinandat²ti-±din± vattabbatt± ±ha “vuttanayamev±”ti. Yojan± k±tabb±ti “yo bh³tapaññattiy± up±d±nabh³te khandhe parij±n±ti, so t²hi pariññ±hi parij±n±t²”ti-±din± yojan± k±tabb±. Brahma-saddassa satipi avisesato visiµµhav±cakatte yattha yattha panassa guºavisesayutt±dir³p± pavatti, ta½ dassetu½ “apic±”ti-±di vutta½. Sahassoti sahassiy± lokadh±tuy± adhipatibh³to. Paµham±bhinibbattoti paº²tena paµhamajh±nena nibbatto, paµhamajjh±nabh³miya½ v± paµhama½ abhinibbatto. Gahit±ti veditabb± padh±naggahaºena appadh±n±nampi kenaci sambandhena gahitabh±vasiddhito. Ukkaµµhekapuggalabh±vato paj±patismi½ viya brahmani maññan± vattat²ti vutta½ “paj±pativ±re vuttanayeneva veditabb±”ti. Tath± hi bahupuggalabh±vas±maññato ±bhassarav±r±d²na½ bh³tav±rasadisat± vutt±.

Satipi devabrahm±d²na½ puññaphalena jh±naphalena ca paµipakkh±bhibhave yesa½ pana puthujjana-asaññasattesu abhibh³voh±ro p±kaµo niru¼ho ca, tesa½ vasen±ya½ desan± pavatt±ti dassento ±ha “asaññabhavasseta½ adhivacanan”ti. Yath± paj±pativ±re “idhekacco paj±patismi½yev±”ti-±din± maññan±pavatti dassit±, tath± idh±pi ta½ dassetu½ sakk±ti ±ha “sesa½ paj±pativ±re vuttanayamev±”ti.
