468. Eva½ me suta½– eka½ samaya½ bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati jetavane an±thapiº¹ikassa ±r±me. Tatra kho bhagav± bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “bhikkhavo”ti. “Bhadante”ti te bhikkh³ bhagavato paccassosu½. Bhagav± etadavoca– “catt±rim±ni, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±n±ni. Katam±ni catt±ri? Atthi, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannasukha½ ±yati½ dukkhavip±ka½; atthi, bhikkhave dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannadukkhañceva ±yatiñca dukkhavip±ka½; atthi, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannadukkha½ ±yati½ sukhavip±ka½; atthi, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannasukhañceva ±yatiñca sukhavip±ka½”.
469. “Katamañca, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannasukha½ ±yati½ dukkhavip±ka½? Santi, bhikkhave, eke samaºabr±hmaº± eva½v±dino eva½diµµhino– ‘natthi k±mesu doso’ti. Te k±mesu p±tabyata½ ±pajjanti. Te kho mo¼ibaddh±hi [mo¼ibandh±hi (sy±. ka½. ka.)] paribb±jik±hi paric±renti. Te evam±ha½su– ‘ki½su n±ma te bhonto samaºabr±hmaº± k±mesu an±gatabhaya½ sampassam±n± k±m±na½ pah±nam±ha½su, k±m±na½ pariñña½ paññapenti? Sukho imiss± paribb±jik±ya taruº±ya muduk±ya lomas±ya b±h±ya samphasso’ti te k±mesu p±tabyata½ ±pajjanti. Te k±mesu p±tabyata½ ±pajjitv± k±yassa bhed± para½ maraº± ap±ya½ duggati½ vinip±ta½ niraya½ upapajjanti. Te tattha dukkh± tibb± khar± kaµuk± vedan± vedayanti. Te evam±ha½su– ‘ida½ kho te bhonto samaºabr±hmaº± k±mesu an±gatabhaya½ sampassam±n± k±m±na½ pah±nam±ha½su, k±m±na½ pariñña½ paññapenti, ime hi maya½ k±mahetu k±manid±na½ dukkh± tibb± khar± kaµuk± vedan± veday±m±’ti. Seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, gimh±na½ pacchime m±se m±luv±sip±µik± phaleyya. Atha kho ta½, bhikkhave, m±luv±b²ja½ aññatarasmi½ s±lam³le nipateyya. Atha kho, bhikkhave, y± tasmi½ s±le adhivatth± devat± s± bh²t± sa½vigg± sant±sa½ ±pajjeyya. Oghana½ janetv± ye tassa s±lassa mahant± mahant± khandh± te pad±leyya. Atha kho, bhikkhave, tasmi½ s±le adhivatth±ya devat±ya evamassa– ‘ida½ kho te bhonto mitt±macc± ñ±tis±lohit± ±r±madevat± vanadevat± rukkhadevat± osadhitiºavanappat²su adhivatth± devat± m±luv±b²je an±gatabhaya½ sampassam±n± saªgamma sam±gamma eva½ samass±sesu½ [samass±seyyu½ (ka.)] – “m± bhava½ bh±yi m± bhava½ bh±yi, appeva n±meta½ m±luv±b²ja½ moro v± gileyya, mago v± kh±deyya, dava¹±ho v± ¹aheyya, vanakammik± v± uddhareyyu½, upacik± v± uµµhaheyyu½ ab²ja½ v± panass±”ti. Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco acelako hoti mutt±c±ro hatth±palekhano, na-ehibhaddantiko, natiµµhabhaddantiko, n±bhihaµa½, na uddissakata½, na nimantana½ s±diyati, so na kumbhimukh± paµiggaºh±ti, na ka¼opimukh± paµiggaºh±ti, na e¼akamantara½, na daº¹amantara½, na musalamantara½, na dvinna½ bhuñjam±n±na½, na gabbhiniy±, na p±yam±n±ya, na purisantaragat±ya, na saªkitt²su, na yattha s± upaµµhito hoti, na yattha makkhik± saº¹asaº¹ac±rin², na maccha½, na ma½sa½, na sura½, na meraya½, na thusodaka½ pivati. So ek±g±riko v± hoti ek±lopiko, dv±g±riko v± hoti dv±lopiko…pe… satt±g±riko v± hoti satt±lopiko. Ekiss±pi dattiy± y±peti, dv²hipi datt²hi y±peti… sattahipi datt²hi y±peti. So s±º±nipi dh±reti, mas±º±nipi dh±reti, chavaduss±nipi dh±reti, pa½suk³l±nipi dh±reti, tir²µ±nipi dh±reti, ajinampi dh±reti, ajinakkhipampi dh±reti, kusac²rampi dh±reti, v±kac²rampi dh±reti, phalakac²rampi dh±reti, kesakambalampi dh±reti, v±¼akambalampi dh±reti, ul³kapakkhampi dh±reti, kesamassulocakopi hoti, kesamassulocan±nuyogamanuyutto, ubbhaµµhakopi hoti, ±sanapaµikkhitto, ukkuµikopi hoti ukkuµikappadh±namanuyutto, kaºµak±passayikopi hoti, kaºµak±passaye seyya½ kappeti [passa ma. ni. 1.155 mah±s²han±dasutte], s±yatatiyakampi udakorohan±nuyogamanuyutto viharati. 471. “Katamañca, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannadukkha½ ±yati½ sukhavip±ka½? Idha bhikkhave, ekacco pakatiy± tibbar±gaj±tiko hoti, so abhikkhaºa½ r±gaja½ dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti; pakatiy± tibbadosaj±tiko hoti, so abhikkhaºa½ dosaja½ dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti; pakatiy± tibbamohaj±tiko hoti, so abhikkhaºa½ mohaja½ dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti. So sah±pi dukkhena, sah±pi domanassena, assumukhopi rudam±no paripuººa½ parisuddha½ brahmacariya½ carati. So k±yassa bhed± para½ maraº± sugati½ sagga½ loka½ upapajjati. Ida½ vuccati, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannadukkha½ ±yati½ sukhavip±ka½.
472. “Katamañca, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannasukhañceva ±yatiñca sukhavip±ka½? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco pakatiy± na tibbar±gaj±tiko hoti, so na abhikkhaºa½ r±gaja½ dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti; pakatiy± na tibbadosaj±tiko hoti, so na abhikkhaºa½ dosaja½ dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti; pakatiy± na tibbamohaj±tiko hoti so na abhikkhaºa½ mohaja½ dukkha½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeti. So vivicceva k±mehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakka½ savic±ra½ vivekaja½ p²tisukha½ paµhama½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharati. Vitakkavic±r±na½ v³pasam± ajjhatta½ sampas±dana½ cetaso ekodibh±va½ avitakka½ avic±ra½ sam±dhija½ p²tisukha½ dutiya½ jh±na½…pe… tatiya½ jh±na½… catuttha½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharati. So k±yassa bhed± para½ maraº± sugati½ sagga½ loka½ upapajjati. Ida½ vuccati, bhikkhave, dhammasam±d±na½ paccuppannasukhañceva ±yatiñca sukhavip±ka½. Im±ni kho, bhikkhave, catt±ri dhammasam±d±n±n²”ti.
