Atha kho vis±kho up±sako yena dhammadinn± bhikkhun² tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± dhammadinna½ bhikkhuni½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho vis±kho up±sako dhammadinna½ bhikkhuni½ etadavoca– “‘sakk±yo sakk±yo’ti, ayye, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, ayye, sakk±yo vutto bhagavat±”ti? “Pañca kho ime, ±vuso vis±kha, up±d±nakkhandh± sakk±yo vutto bhagavat±, seyyathida½– r³pup±d±nakkhandho, vedanup±d±nakkhandho, saññup±d±nakkhandho, saªkh±rup±d±nakkhandho, viññ±ºup±d±nakkhandho. Ime kho, ±vuso vis±kha, pañcup±d±nakkhandh± sakk±yo vutto bhagavat±”ti.
“S±dhayye”ti kho vis±kho up±sako dhammadinn±ya bhikkhuniy± bh±sita½ abhinanditv± anumoditv± dhammadinna½ bhikkhuni½ uttari½ pañha½ apucchi– “‘sakk±yasamudayo sakk±yasamudayo’ti, ayye, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, ayye, sakk±yasamudayo vutto bhagavat±”ti? “Y±ya½, ±vuso vis±kha, taºh± ponobbhavik± nand²r±gasahagat± tatratatr±bhinandin², seyyathida½– k±mataºh± bhavataºh± vibhavataºh±; aya½ kho, ±vuso vis±kha, sakk±yasamudayo vutto bhagavat±”ti.
“‘Sakk±yanirodho sakk±yanirodho’ti, ayye, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, ayye, sakk±yanirodho vutto bhagavat±”ti?
“Yo kho, ±vuso vis±kha, tass±yeva taºh±ya asesavir±ganirodho c±go paµinissaggo mutti an±layo; aya½ kho, ±vuso vis±kha, sakk±yanirodho vutto bhagavat±”ti.
“‘Sakk±yanirodhag±min² paµipad± sakk±yanirodhag±min² paµipad±’ti, ayye, vuccati. Katam± nu kho, ayye, sakk±yanirodhag±min² paµipad± vutt± bhagavat±”ti?
“Ayameva kho, ±vuso vis±kha, ariyo aµµhaªgiko maggo sakk±yanirodhag±min² paµipad± vutt± bhagavat±, seyyathida½ samm±diµµhi samm±saªkappo samm±v±c± samm±kammanto samm±-±j²vo samm±v±y±mo samm±sati samm±sam±dh²”ti.
“Taññeva nu kho, ayye, up±d±na½ te [teva (s².)] pañcup±d±nakkhandh± ud±hu aññatra pañcahup±d±nakkhandhehi up±d±nan”ti? “Na kho, ±vuso vis±kha, taññeva up±d±na½ te pañcup±d±nakkhandh±, n±pi aññatra pañcahup±d±nakkhandhehi up±d±na½. “Ayameva kho, ±vuso vis±kha, ariyo aµµhaªgiko maggo, seyyathida½– samm±diµµhi samm±saªkappo samm±v±c± samm±kammanto samm±-±j²vo samm±v±y±mo samm±sati samm±sam±dh²”ti. “Ariyo pan±yye, aµµhaªgiko maggo saªkhato ud±hu asaªkhato”ti?

“Ariyena nu kho, ayye, aµµhaªgikena maggena tayo khandh± saªgahit± ud±hu t²hi khandhehi ariyo aµµhaªgiko maggo saªgahito”ti?

“Katamo pan±yye, k±yasaªkh±ro, katamo vac²saªkh±ro, katamo cittasaªkh±ro”ti?
“Ass±sapass±s± kho, ±vuso vis±kha, k±yasaªkh±ro, vitakkavic±r± vac²saªkh±ro, saññ± ca vedan± ca cittasaªkh±ro”ti.
“Kasm± pan±yye, ass±sapass±s± k±yasaªkh±ro, kasm± vitakkavic±r± vac²saªkh±ro, kasm± saññ± ca vedan± ca cittasaªkh±ro”ti?

Pubbe kho, ±vuso vis±kha, vitakketv± vic±retv± pacch± v±ca½ bhindati, tasm± vitakkavic±r± vac²saªkh±ro. 464. “Katha½ pan±yye, saññ±vedayitanirodhasam±patti hot²”ti?
“Na kho, ±vuso vis±kha, saññ±vedayitanirodha½ sam±pajjantassa bhikkhuno eva½ hoti– ‘aha½ saññ±vedayitanirodha½ sam±pajjissan’ti v±, ‘aha½ saññ±vedayitanirodha½ sam±pajj±m²’ti v±, ‘aha½ saññ±vedayitanirodha½ sam±panno’ti v±. Atha khv±ssa pubbeva tath± citta½ bh±vita½ hoti ya½ ta½ tathatt±ya upanet²”ti.
“Saññ±vedayitanirodha½ sam±pajjantass pan±yye, bhikkhuno katame dhamm± paµhama½ nirujjhanti– yadi v± k±yasaªkh±ro, yadi v± vac²saªkh±ro, yadi v± cittasaªkh±ro”ti? “Saññ±vedayitanirodha½ sam±pajjantassa kho, ±vuso vis±kha, bhikkhuno paµhama½ nirujjhati vac²saªkh±ro, tato k±yasaªkh±ro, tato cittasaªkh±ro”ti.

“Saññ±vedayitanirodhasam±pattiy± vuµµhita½ pan±yye, bhikkhu½ kati phass± phusant²”ti? “Saññ±vedayitanirodhasam±pattiy± vuµµhita½ kho, ±vuso vis±kha, bhikkhu½ tayo phass± phusanti– suññato phasso, animitto phasso, appaºihito phasso”ti.
“Saññ±vedayitanirodhasam±pattiy± vuµµhitassa pan±yye, bhikkhuno ki½ninna½ citta½ hoti ki½poºa½ ki½pabbh±ran”ti? “Saññ±vedayitanirodhasam±pattiy± vuµµhitassa kho, ±vuso vis±kha, bhikkhuno vivekaninna½ citta½ hoti, vivekapoºa½ vivekapabbh±ran”ti.

“Katam± pan±yye, sukh± vedan±, katam± dukkh± vedan±, katam± adukkhamasukh± vedan±”ti?

Atha kho vis±kho up±sako dhammadinn±ya bhikkhuniy± bh±sita½ abhinanditv± anumoditv± uµµh±y±san± dhammadinna½ bhikkhuni½ abhiv±detv± padakkhiºa½ katv± yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho vis±kho up±sako y±vatako ahosi dhammadinn±ya bhikkhuniy± saddhi½ kath±sall±po ta½ sabba½ bhagavato ±rocesi. Eva½ vutte, bhagav± vis±kha½ up±saka½ etadavoca– “paº¹it±, vis±kha, dhammadinn± bhikkhun², mah±paññ±, vis±kha, dhammadinn± bhikkhun². Ma½ cepi tva½, vis±kha, etamattha½ puccheyy±si, ahampi ta½ evameva½ by±kareyya½, yath± ta½ dhammadinn±ya bhikkhuniy± by±kata½. Eso cevetassa [esovetassa (sy±. ka½.)] attho. Evañca na½ [evameta½ (s². sy±. ka½.)] dh±reh²”ti.
