300. Eva½ me suta½– eka½ samaya½ bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati jetavane an±thapiº¹ikassa ±r±me. Tatra kho ±yasm± s±riputto bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “±vuso bhikkhave”ti. “¾vuso”ti kho te bhikkh³ ±yasmato s±riputtassa paccassosu½. ¾yasm± s±riputto etadavoca– “seyyath±pi, ±vuso, y±ni k±nici jaªgal±na½ p±º±na½ padaj±t±ni sabb±ni t±ni hatthipade samodh±na½ gacchanti, hatthipada½ tesa½ aggamakkh±yati yadida½ mahantattena; evameva kho, ±vuso, ye keci kusal± dhamm± sabbete cat³su ariyasaccesu saªgaha½ gacchanti. Katamesu cat³su? Dukkhe ariyasacce dukkhasamudaye ariyasacce, dukkhanirodhe ariyasacce, dukkhanirodhag±miniy± paµipad±ya ariyasacce”.
301. “Katamañc±vuso, dukkha½ ariyasacca½? J±tipi dukkh±, jar±pi dukkh±, maraºampi dukkha½, sokaparidevadukkhadomanassup±y±s±pi dukkh±, yampiccha½ na labhati tampi dukkha½; sa½khittena, pañcup±d±nakkhandh± dukkh±. Katame c±vuso, pañcup±d±nakkhandh±? Seyyathida½– r³pup±d±nakkhandho, vedanup±d±nakkhandho, saññup±d±nakkhandho, saªkh±rup±d±nakkhandho, viññ±ºup±d±nakkhandho.

Tass± hi n±ma, ±vuso, b±hir±ya pathav²dh±tuy± t±va mahallik±ya aniccat± paññ±yissati, khayadhammat± paññ±yissati, vayadhammat± paññ±yissati, vipariº±madhammat± paññ±yissati. “Tañce, ±vuso, bhikkhu½ pare akkosanti paribh±santi rosenti vihesenti, so eva½ paj±n±ti– ‘uppann± kho me aya½ sotasamphassaj± dukkhavedan± S± ca kho paµicca, no apaµicca. Ki½ paµicca? Phassa½ paµicca’. So [sopikho (sy±.), sopi (ka.)] phasso aniccoti passati, vedan± anicc±ti passati, saññ± anicc±ti passati, saªkh±r± anicc±ti passati, viññ±ºa½ aniccanti passati. Tassa dh±t±rammaºameva citta½ pakkhandati pas²dati santiµµhati adhimuccati.

Ajjhattikañceva, ±vuso, cakkhu½ aparibhinna½ hoti, b±hir± ca r³p± na ±p±tha½ ±gacchanti, no ca tajjo samann±h±ro hoti, neva t±va tajjassa viññ±ºabh±gassa p±tubh±vo hoti. Vutta½ kho paneta½ bhagavat±– ‘yo paµiccasamupp±da½ passati so dhamma½ passati; yo dhamma½ passati so paµiccasamupp±da½ passat²ti. Paµiccasamuppann± kho panime yadida½ pañcup±d±nakkhandh±. Yo imesu pañcasu up±d±nakkhandhesu chando ±layo anunayo ajjhos±na½ so dukkhasamudayo. Yo imesu pañcasu up±d±nakkhandhesu chandar±gavinayo chandar±gappah±na½, so dukkhanirodho’ti. “Ajjhattikañceva, ±vuso, sota½ aparibhinna½ hoti…pe… gh±na½ aparibhinna½ hoti… jivh± aparibhinn± hoti… k±yo aparibhinno hoti… mano aparibhinno hoti, b±hir± ca dhamm± na ±p±tha½ ±gacchanti no ca tajjo samann±h±ro hoti, neva t±va tajjassa viññ±ºabh±gassa p±tubh±vo hoti. Ajjhattiko ceva, ±vuso, mano aparibhinno hoti, b±hir± ca dhamm± ±p±tha½ ±gacchanti, no ca tajjo samann±h±ro hoti, neva t±va tajjassa viññ±ºabh±gassa p±tubh±vo hoti.
