Satisammosena pana sahas± k±mavitakk±dayo uppajjitv± kusalav±ra½ pacchinditv± saya½ akusalajavanav±r± hutv± tiµµhanti. Tato bodhisatto cintesi– “mayha½ ime k±mavitakk±dayo kusalav±ra½ pacchinditv± tiµµhanti, hand±ha½ ime vitakke dve bh±ge katv± vihar±m²”ti k±mavitakk±dayo akusalapakkhik±ti eka½ bh±ga½ karoti nekkhammavitakk±dayo kusalapakkhik±ti eka½. Atha puna cintesi– “akusalapakkhato ±gata½ vitakka½ mantena kaŗhasappa½ upp²¼etv± gaŗhanto viya amitta½ g²v±ya akkamanto viya ca niggahess±mi, n±ssa va¹¹hitu½ dass±mi. Kusalapakkhato ±gata½ vitakka½ meghasamaye megha½ viya sukhette s±lakaly±ŗipotaka½ viya ca s²gha½ va¹¹hess±m²”ti. So tath± katv± akusalavitakke niggaŗhi, kusalavitakke va¹¹hesi. Eva½ imin± bodhisattassa vitakkaniggahaŗanak±lo kathitoti veditabbo.
207. Id±ni yath±ssa te vitakk± uppajji½su, yath± ca ne niggahesi, ta½ dassento tassa mayha½, bhikkhaveti-±dim±ha. Tattha appamattass±ti satiy± avippav±se µhitassa. ¾t±pinoti ±t±pav²riyavantassa. Pahitattass±ti pesitacittassa. Uppajjati k±mavitakkoti bodhisattassa chabbass±ni padh±na½ padahato rajjasukha½ v± ±rabbha, p±s±de v± n±µak±ni v± orodhe v± kińcideva v± sampatti½ ±rabbha k±mavitakko n±ma na uppannapubbo. Dukkarak±rik±ya panassa ±h±r³pacchedena adhimattakasim±na½ pattassa etadahosi– “na sakk± ±h±r³pacchedena visesa½ nibbattetu½, ya½n³n±ha½ o¼±rika½ ±h±ra½ ±h±reyyan”ti. So uruvela½ piŗ¹±ya p±visi. Manuss±– “mah±puriso pubbe ±haritv± dinnampi na gaŗhi, addh±ssa id±ni manoratho matthaka½ patto, tasm± sayameva ±gato”ti paŗ²tapaŗ²ta½ ±h±ra½ upahari½su. Bodhisattassa attabh±vo nacirasseva p±katiko ahosi. Jar±jiŗŗattabh±vo hi sapp±yabhojana½ labhitv±pi p±katiko na hoti. Bodhisatto pana daharo. Tenassa sapp±yabhojana½ bhuńjato attabh±vo na cirasseva p±katiko j±to, vippasann±ni indriy±ni, parisuddho chavivaŗŗo, samuggatat±r±gaŗa½ viya nabha½ paripuŗŗadvatti½samah±purisalakkhaŗappaµimaŗ¹itasar²ra½ ahosi. So ta½ oloketv± “t±va kilanto n±ma attabh±vo eva½ paµip±katiko j±to”ti cintetv± attano pańń±mahantat±ya eva½ parittakampi vitakka½ gahetv± k±mavitakkoti ak±si.
Paŗŗas±l±ya purato nisinno camarapasadagavayarohitamig±dike magagaŗe manuńńasaddaravane moravanakukkuµ±dike pakkhigaŗe n²luppalakumudakamal±disańchann±ni pallal±ni n±n±kusumasańchannaviµap± vanar±jiyo maŗikkhandhanimmalajalapav±hańca nadi½ nerańjara½ passati. Tassa eva½ hoti “sobhan± vatime migaj±t± pakkhigaŗ± pallal±ni vanar±jiyo nad² nerańjar±”ti. So tampi eva½ parittaka½ vitakka½ gahetv± k±mavitakkamak±si, ten±ha “uppajjati k±mavitakko”ti.
Attaby±b±dh±yap²ti attadukkh±yapi. Esevanayo sabbattha. Ki½ pana mah±sattassa ubhayadukkh±ya sa½vattanakavitakko n±ma atth²ti? Natthi. Aparińń±ya½ µhitassa pana vitakko y±va ubhayaby±b±dh±ya sa½vattat²ti et±ni t²ŗi n±m±ni labhati, tasm± evam±ha. Pańń±nirodhikoti anuppann±ya lokiyalokuttar±ya pańń±ya uppajjitu½ na deti, lokiyapańńa½ pana aµµhasam±pattipańc±bhińń±vasena uppannampi samucchinditv± khipat²ti pańń±nirodhiko. Vigh±tapakkhikoti dukkhakoµµh±siko. AsaŖkhata½ nibb±na½ n±ma, ta½ paccakkha½ k±tu½ na det²ti anibb±nasa½vattaniko. Abbhattha½ gacchat²ti khaya½ natthibh±va½ gacchati. Udakapupphu¼ako viya nirujjhati. Pajahamev±ti pajahimeva. Vinodamev±ti n²harimeva. Byantameva na½ ak±sinti vigatanta½ nissesa½ parivaµuma½ paricchinnameva na½ ak±si½.

By±p±davitakkoti na bodhisattassa par³pagh±tappaµisa½yutto n±ma vitakko citte uppajjati, athassa ativassa-accuŗha-atis²t±d²ni pana paµicca cittavipariŗ±mabh±vo hoti, ta½ sandh±ya “by±p±davitakko”ti ±ha. Vihi½s±vitakkoti na mah±sattassa paresa½ dukkhupp±danappaµisa½yutto vitakko uppajjati, citte pana uddhat±k±ro anekaggat±k±ro hoti, ta½ gahetv± vihi½s±vitakkamak±si. Paŗŗas±l±dv±re nisinno hi s²habyaggh±dike v±¼amige s³kar±dayo khuddamige vihi½sante passati. Atha bodhisatto imasmimpi n±ma akutobhaye arańńe imesa½ tiracch±nagat±na½ paccatthik± uppajjanti, balavanto dubbale kh±danti, balavantakh±dit± vattant²ti k±ruńńa½ upp±deti. Ańńepi bi¼±r±dayo kukkuµam³sik±d²ni kh±dante passati, g±ma½ piŗ¹±ya paviµµho manusse r±jakammikehi upaddute vadhabandh±d²ni anubhavante attano kasivaŗijj±d²ni kamm±ni katv± j²vitu½ na labhant²ti k±ruńńa½ upp±deti, ta½ sandh±ya “uppajjati vihi½s±vitakko”ti ±ha. Tath± tath±ti tena tena ±k±rena. Ida½ vutta½ hoti– k±mavitakk±d²su ya½ ya½ vitakketi, ya½ ya½ vitakka½ pavatteti, tena tene cass±k±rena k±mavitakk±dibh±vo cetaso na hi hot²ti. Pah±si nekkhammavitakkanti nekkhammavitakka½ pajahati. Bahulamak±s²ti bahula½ karoti. Tassa ta½ k±mavitakk±ya cittanti tassa ta½ citta½ k±mavitakkatth±ya. Yath± k±mavitakkasampayutta½ hoti, evameva½ namat²ti attho. Sesapadesupi eseva nayo.
Id±ni atthad²pika½ upama½ dassento seyyath±p² ti-±dim±ha. Tattha kiµµhasamb±dheti sassasamb±dhe. ¾koµeyy±ti ujuka½ piµµhiya½ pahareyya. Paµikoµeyy±ti tiriya½ ph±suk±su pahareyya. Sannirundheyy±ti ±varitv± tiµµheyya. Sanniv±reyy±ti ito cito ca gantu½ na dadeyya Tatonid±nanti tena k±raŗena, eva½ arakkhit±na½ gunna½ paresa½ sassakh±danak±raŗen±ti attho. B±lo hi gop±loko eva½ g±vo arakkham±no “aya½ amh±ka½ bhattavetana½ kh±dati, uju½ g±vo rakkhitumpi na sakkoti, kulehi saddhi½ vera½ gaŗh±pet²”ti gos±mik±nampi santik± vadh±d²ni p±puŗ±ti, kiµµhas±mik±nampi. Nekkhammeti nekkhammamhi. ¾nisa½santi visuddhipakkha½. Vod±napakkhanti ida½ tasseva vevacana½, kusal±na½ dhamm±na½ nekkhammamhi visuddhipakkha½ addasanti attho.
209. Nekkhammanti ca k±mehi nissaµa½ sabbakusala½, ekadhamme saŖgayham±ne nibb±nameva. Tatrida½ opammasa½sandana½– kiµµhasamb±dha½ viya hi r³p±di-±rammaŗa½, k³µag±vo viya k³µacitta½, paŗ¹itagop±lako viya bodhisatto, catubbidhabhaya½ viya attapar³bhayaby±b±dh±ya sa½vattanavitakko, paŗ¹itagop±lakassa catubbidha½ bhaya½ disv± kiµµhasamb±dhe appam±dena gorakkhaŗa½ viya bodhisattassa chabbass±ni padh±na½ padahato attaby±b±dh±dibhaya½ disv± r³p±d²su ±rammaŗesu yath± k±mavitakk±dayo na uppajjanti, eva½ cittarakkhaŗa½. Pańń±vuddhikoti-±d²su anuppann±ya lokiyalokuttarapańń±ya upp±d±ya, uppann±ya ca vuddhiy± sa½vattat²ti pańń±vuddhiko. Na dukkhakoµµh±s±ya sa½vattat²ti avigh±tapakkhiko. Nibb±nadh±tusacchikiriy±ya sa½vattat²ti nibb±nasa½vattaniko. Ratti½ cepi na½, bhikkhave, anuvitakkeyyanti sakalaratti½ cepi ta½ vitakka½ pavatteyya½. Tatonid±nanti ta½m³laka½. Ohańńeyy±ti uggh±t²yeyya, uddhacc±ya sa½vatteyy±ti attho. ¾r±ti d³re. Sam±dhimh±ti upac±rasam±dhitopi appan±sam±dhitopi. So kho aha½, bhikkhave, ajjhattameva cittanti so aha½, bhikkhave, m± me citta½ sam±dhimh± d³re hot³ti ajjhattameva citta½ saŗµhapemi, gocarajjhatte µhapem²ti attho. Sannis±dem²ti tattheva ca na½ sannis²d±pemi. Ekodi½ karom²ti ekagga½ karomi. Sam±dah±m²ti samm± ±dah±mi, suµµhu ±ropem²ti attho. M± me citta½ ³hańń²ti m± mayha½ citta½ uggh±t²yittha, m± uddhacc±ya sa½vattat³ti attho.
210. Uppajjati aby±p±davitakko…pe… avihi½s±vitakkoti ettha yo so im±ya heµµh± vuttataruŗavipassan±ya saddhi½ uppannavitakko k±mapaccan²kaµµhena nekkhammavitakkoti vutto. Soyeva by±p±dapaccan²kaµµhena aby±p±davitakkoti ca vihi½s±paccan²kaµµhena avihi½s±vitakkoti ca vutto.
Ett±vat± bodhisattassa sam±patti½ niss±ya vipassan±paµµhapanak±lo kathito. Yassa hi sam±dhipi taruŗo, vipassan±pi. Tassa vipassana½ paµµhapetv± aticira½ nisinnassa k±yo kilamati, anto aggi viya uµµhahati, kacchehi sed± muccanti, matthakato usumavaµµi viya uµµhahati, citta½ hańńati vihańńati vipphandati. So puna sam±patti½ sam±pajjitv± ta½ paridametv± muduka½ katv± samass±setv± puna vipassana½ paµµhapeti. Tassa puna aticira½ nisinnassa tatheva hoti. So puna sam±patti½ sam±pajjitv± tatheva karoti. Vipassan±ya hi bah³pak±r± sam±patti.
Yath± yodhassa phalakakoµµhako n±ma bah³pak±ro hoti, so ta½ niss±ya saŖg±ma½ pavisati, tattha hatth²hipi assehipi yodhehipi saddhi½ kamma½ katv± ±vudhesu v± kh²ŗesu bhuńjituk±mat±dibh±ve v± sati nivattitv± phalakakoµµhaka½ pavisitv± ±vudh±nipi gaŗh±ti, vissamatipi, bhuńjatipi, p±n²yampi pivati, sann±hampi paµisannayhati, ta½ ta½ katv± puna saŖg±ma½ pavisati, tattha kamma½ katv± puna ucc±r±dip²¼ito v± kenacideva v± karaŗ²yena phalakakoµµhaka½ pavisati. Tattha santhambhitv± puna saŖg±ma½ pavisati, eva½ yodhassa phalakakoµµhako viya vipassan±ya bah³pak±r± sam±patti.
Sam±pattiy± pana saŖg±manittharaŗakayodhassa phalakakoµµhakatopi vipassan± bah³pak±ratar±. Kińc±pi hi sam±patti½ niss±ya vipassana½ paµµhapeti, vipassan± pana th±maj±t± sam±pattimpi rakkhati. Th±maj±ta½ karoti.
Yath± hi thale n±vampi n±v±ya bhaŗ¹ampi sakaµabh±ra½ karonti. Udaka½ patv± pana sakaµampi sakaµabhaŗ¹ampi yuttagoŗepi n±v±bh±ra½ karonti. N±v± tiriya½ sota½ chinditv± sotthin± supaµµana½ gacchati, evameva½ kińc±pi sam±patti½ niss±ya vipassana½ paµµhapeti, vipassan± pana th±maj±t± sam±pattimpi rakkhati, th±maj±ta½ karoti. Thala½ patv± sakaµa½ viya hi sam±patti. Udaka½ patv± n±v± viya vipassan±. Iti bodhisattassa ett±vat± sam±patti½ niss±ya vipassan±paµµhapanak±lo kathitoti veditabbo.
Yańńadev±ti-±di kaŗhapakkhe vutt±nus±reneva veditabba½, idh±pi atthad²pika½ upama½ dassetu½ seyyath±p²ti-±dim±ha. Tattha g±mantasambhates³ti g±manta½ ±haµesu. Satikaraŗ²yameva hot²ti et± g±voti sati-upp±danamattameva k±tabba½ hoti. Ito cito ca gantv± ±koµan±dikicca½ natthi. Ete dhamm±ti ete samathavipassan± dhamm±ti satupp±danamattameva k±tabba½ hoti. Imin± bodhisattassa samathavipassan±na½ th±maj±tak±lo kathito. Tad± kirassa sam±patti½ appanatth±ya nisinnassa aµµha sam±pattiyo ek±vajjanena ±p±tha½ ±gacchanti, vipassana½ paµµhapetv± nisinno satta anupassan± ekappah±reneva ±ru¼ho hoti.
215. Seyyath±p²ti idha ki½ dasseti? Aya½ p±µiyekko anusandhi, satt±nańhi hit³pac±ra½ attano satthubh±vasampadańca dassento bhagav± ima½ desana½ ±rabhi. Tattha arańńeti aµaviya½. Pavaneti vanasaŗ¹e. Atthato hi ida½ dvaya½ ekameva, paµhamassa pana dutiya½ vevacana½. Ayogakkhemak±moti cat³hi yogehi khema½ nibbhayaµµh±na½ anicchanto bhayameva icchanto Sovatthikoti suvatthibh±v±vaho. P²tigaman²yoti tuµµhi½ gaman²yo. “P²tagaman²yo”ti v± p±µho. Pidaheyy±ti s±kh±d²hi thakeyya. Vivareyy±ti visadamukha½ katv± vivaµa½ kareyya. Kummagganti udakavanapabbat±d²hi sanniruddha½ amagga½. Odaheyya okacaranti tesa½ oke caram±na½ viya eka½ d²pakamiga½ ekasmi½ µh±ne µhapeyya. Okac±rikanti d²gharajjuy± bandhita½yeva migi½.
Migaluddako hi arańńa½ mig±na½ vasanaµµh±na½ gantv± “idha vasanti, imin± maggena nikkhamanti, ettha caranti, ettha pivanti, imin± maggena pavisant²”ti sallakkhetv± magga½ pidh±ya kummagga½ vivaritv± okacarańca okac±rikańca µhapetv± saya½ paµicchannaµµh±ne satti½ gahetv± tiµµhati. Atha s±yanhasamaye mig± akutobhaye arańńe caritv± p±n²ya½ pivitv± migapotakehi saddhi½ k²¼am±n± vasanaµµh±nasantika½ ±gantv± okacarańca okac±rikańca disv± “sah±yak± no ±gat± bhavissant²”ti nir±saŖk± pavisanti, te magga½ pihita½ disv± “n±ya½ maggo, aya½ maggo bhavissat²”ti kummagga½ paµipajjanti. Migaluddako na t±va kińci karoti, paviµµhesu pana sabbapacchima½ saŗika½ paharati. So uttasati, tato sabbe uttasitv± “bhaya½ uppannan”ti purato olokent± udakena v± vanena v± pabbatena v± sanniruddha½ magga½ disv± ubhohi passehi aŖgulisaŖkhalika½ viya gahanavana½ pavisitu½ asakkont± paviµµhamaggeneva nikkhamitu½ ±rabhanti. Luddako tesa½ nivattanabh±va½ ńatv± ±dito paµµh±ya ti½sampi catt±l²sampi mige gh±teti. Ida½ sandh±ya evańhi so, bhikkhave, mah±migasaŖgho aparena samayena anayabyasana½ ±pajjeyy±ti vutta½.
“Nand²r±gasseta½ adhivacana½, avijj±yeta½ adhivacanan”ti ettha yasm± ime satt± avijj±ya ańń±ŗ± hutv± nand²r±gena ±bandhitv± r³p±rammaŗ±d²ni upan²t± vaµµadukkhasattiy± gh±ta½ labhanti. Tasm± bhagav± okacara½ nand²r±goti, okac±rika½ avijj±ti katv± dassesi.
Migaluddako hi ekad±pi tesa½ s±kh±bhaŖgena sar²ra½ puńchitv± manussagandha½ apanetv± okacara½ ekasmi½ µh±ne µhapetv± okac±rika½ saha rajjuy± vissajjetv± att±na½ paµicch±detv± satti½ ±d±ya okacarassa santike tiµµhati, okac±rik± migagaŗassa caraŗaµµh±n±bhimukh² gacchati Ta½ disv± mig± s²s±ni ukkhipitv± tiµµhanti, s±pi s²sa½ ukkhipitv± tiµµhati, te “amh±ka½ samaj±tik± ayan”ti gocara½ gaŗhanti. S±pi tiŗ±ni kh±dant² viya saŗika½ upagacchati. ¾rańńiko y³thapatimigo tass± v±ta½ labhitv± sakabhariya½ vissajjetv± tadabhimukho hoti.
Satt±nańhi navanavameva piya½ hoti. Okac±rik± ±rańńikassa migassa acc±sannabh±va½ adatv± tadabhimukh²va pacchato paµikkamitv± okacarassa santika½ gacchati, yattha yatthass± rajju laggati, tattha tattha khurena paharitv± moceti, ±rańńiko migo okacara½ disv± okac±rik±ya sammatto hutv± okacare us³ya½ katv± piµµhi½ n±metv± s²sa½ kampento tiµµhati, tasmi½ khaŗe satti½ jivh±ya lehantopi “ki½ etan”ti na j±n±ti, okacaropi sacassa uparibh±gena ta½ miga½ paharitu½ sukha½ hoti, piµµhi½ n±meti.
