Yath± pana kukkuµapotak±na½ pariºatabh±va½ ñatv± m±t±pi aº¹akosa½ bhindati, eva½ tath±r³passa bhikkhuno ñ±ºaparip±ka½ ñatv± satth±pi–
“Ucchinda sinehamattano, kumuda½ s±radika½va p±ºin±;
santimaggameva br³haya, nibb±na½ sugatena desitan”ti. (Dha. pa. 285)–

¾din± nayena obh±sa½ pharitv± g±th±ya avijjaº¹akosa½ paharati, so g±th±pariyos±ne avijj±º¹akosa½ bhinditv± arahatta½ p±puº±ti. Tato paµµh±ya yath± te kukkuµapotak± g±makkhetta½ upasobhayam±n± tattha tattha vicaranti, eva½ ayampi mah±kh²º±savo nibb±narammaºa½ phalasam±patti½ appetv± saªgh±r±ma½ upasobhayam±no vicarati.

Iti imasmi½ sutte catt±ri pah±n±ni kathit±ni. Katha½? Cetokhil±nañhi cetovinibandh±na½ pah±nena paµisaªkh±nappapah±na½ kathita½, iddhip±dehi vikkhambhanappah±na½ kathita, magge ±gate samucchedappah±na½ kathita½, phale ±gate paµippassaddhippah±na½ kathita½. Sesa½ sabbattha utt±natthamev±ti.
