phaº±nekasahass±ni-m±pisitv± mahiddhiko,
sineru p±dam³lamhi-dhum±yanto ca pajjala½,
±bhujitv±na so bhoge-nipajji v±luk±tale.
“Anek±ni sahass±ni-attan± sadise ahi,
m±payitv± say±pesi-samant± pariv±rite,
bah³ dev± ca n±g± ca-osari½su tahi½ tad±,
yuddha½ ubhinna½ n±g±na½-sassiss±ma maya½ iti.”
Tato n±gar±j± bh±gineyyena dh±tuyo apan²tabh±va½ ñatv± evam±ha- mama santike dh±tuyo natthi, tumhe idha papañca akatv± s²gha½ gantv± bhikkhusaªghassa ta½ pavatti½ ±rocetha bhikkhusaªgho aññato dh±tu½ pariyesissat²ti s±maºero ±dite paµµh±ya dh±tu ±gamana½ vatv± dh±tuyo tava santikeyeva, papañca½ akatv± deh²ti codesi.
Tato n±gar±j± s±maºerena m³lamhi gahitabh±va½ ñatv± yena kenaci pariy±yena dh±tuyo adatv±va pesitu½ vaµµat²ti cintetv± s±maºera½ dh±tughara½ netv± cetiyañca cetiyagharañca dassesi. Ta½ pana cetiyañca cetiyagharañca sabbaratanamayameva ahosi.
Vuttañheta½ mah±va½se
“Anekadh± anekehi ratanehi susaªkhata½,
cetiya½ cetiyaghara½-passa bhikkhu sunimmitan”ti.
Dassetv± ca pana cetiyagharato oruyha addhacaºdakap±s±ºe pav±¼apadumamhi µhatv± imassa cetiyassa cetiyagharassa ca aggha½ karohi bhanteti ±ha s±maºero na sakkoma mah±r±ja aggha½ k±tu½, sakalepi tambhapaººid²pe ratan±ni ima½ addhacaºdaka p±s±ºa½ n±gghat²ti ±ha.
N±gar±j± eva½ sante mah±sakk±raµµh±nato appasakk±raµµh±na½ dh±t³na½ nayana½ ayutta½ nanu bhikkh³ti ±ha. S±maºero evam±hamah±r±ja buddh± n±ma dhammagaruk±, na ±misa garuka½, tumhesu cakkav±¼appam±ºa½ ratanaghara½ m±petv± sabbaratanassa p³retv± dh±tuyo pariharantesupi ekan±gopi dhamm±bhisamaya½ k±tu½ samattho n±ma natthi yasm±-
“Sacc±bhisamayo n±ga-tumh±kampi na vijjati.Sacc±bhisamayaµµh±na½-netu½ yuttañhi dh±tuyo.Sa½s±radukkhamokkh±ya-uppajjanta tath±gat±, buddhassa vetth±d²pp±yo-tena ness±mi dh±tuyo. Dh±tunidh±na½ ajjeva-so hi r±j± karissati.
Tasm± papañcamakaritv±-lahu½ me dehi dh±tuye”ti-±ha. Eva½ vutte n±gar±j± appaµih±no yutv± attano bh±gineyyena dh±tuyo gopitoti maññam±no evam±ha. Tumhe bhante cetiye dh±t³na½ atthibh±va½ v± natthibh±va½ v± aj±nant± dehi deh²ti vadatha. Aha½ natth²ti vad±mi. Sace passatha gahetv± gacchath±ti. Gaºh±mi mah±r±j±ti, gaºha bhikkh³ti. Gaºh±mi mah±r±j±ti, gaºha bhikkh³ti tikkhattu½ paµiñña½ gahetv±.
“Sukhuma½ kara½ m±payitv±-thikkh³ tatra µhitoca so,
bh±gineyyassa vadane-hatthampakkhippa t±vade,
dh±tukaraº¹amad±ya-tiµµha n±g±ti bh±siha,
nimujjitv± pathaviya½-pariveºamhi uµµhahi.”
Tad± s±maºerassa n±gena saddhi½ yuddha½ passiss±m±ti sam±gat± deva-n±ga paris±pa bhikkhun±gassa vijaya½ disv± haµµh± pamodito dh±tuyo p³jayant±va teneva saha ±gamu½, n±gar±j± s±maºerassa gata k±le bhikkhu½ vañcetv± pesitomh²ti haµµhatuµµho dh±tuyo gahetv± ±gamatth±ya bh±gineyyassa s±sana½ pesesi.
“Bh±gineyyo’tha kucchimhi-apassitv± karaº¹aka½,
paridevam±no ±gantv±-m±tulassa nivedayi;
tad± so n±gar±j±pi-vañcitamha maya½ iti,
paridevi n±g± sabbepi-paridevi½su piº¹it±.”
Tato n±gabhavane sabbe n±g± sam±gantv± kese muñcitv± ubhohi hatthehi hadaye gahetv± n²luppala sadisehi nettehi vil²na sokamiva assudh±ra½ pavattayam±n±-
“Paridevam±n± ±gantv±-n±g± saªghassa santike,
bahudh± paridevi½sa-dh±t±haraºa dukkhit±”ti.
Paridevitv± ca bhikkhusaªghassa evam±ha½su- bhante kassaci p²¼a½ akatv± amh±ka½ puññ±nubh±vena labhitv± c²raparihaµa dh±tuyo kasm± anavasesa½ katv± ahar±petha amh±ka½ saggamokkhantar±ya½ karoth±ti.
’Tesa½ saªghon’ukamp±ya-thoka½ dh±tumad±payi,
te tena tuµµh± gantv±na-p³j±bhaº¹±ni ±haru½.
Tato sakko dev±namiºdo vissakamma½ ±mantetv± s±maºerassa uµµhitaµµh±ne sattaratanamaya½ maº¹apa½ m±peh²ti ±ha. So tasmiyeva khaºe maº¹apa½ m±pesi atha sakko dv²su devalokesu devaparis±ya parivuto suvaººacaªgoµakena saddhi½ ratana pallaªkam±d±ya ±gantv± tasmi½ maº¹ape patiµµh±petv± s±maºerassa hatthato dh±tukaraº¹aka½ gahetv± tasmi½ pallaªke patiµµh±pesi.
