Na so rajjati dhammesu, dhamma½ ńatv± paµissato;
virattacitto vedeti, tańca n±jjhosa tiµµhati.
Yath±ssa j±nato dhamma½, sevato c±pi vedana½;
kh²yati nopac²yati, eva½ so carat² sato;
eva½ apacinato dukkha½, santike nibb±na vuccat²ti.
Imassa khv±ha½ bhante bhagavat± sa½khittena bh±sitassa eva½ vitth±rena attha½ ±j±n±m²ti. Bhagav± ca bhante “s±dhu s±dhu m±lukyaputta, s±dhu kho tva½ m±lukyaputta may± sa½khittena bh±sitassa vitth±rena attha½ ±j±n±s²”ti s±dhuk±ra½ datv±–
“R³pa½ disv± sati muµµho, piya½ nimitta½ manasi karoto;
s±rattacitto vedeti, tańca ajjhosa tiµµhat²”ti–

Therassa vacana½ samanuńń±si. So ca bhante ±yasm± m±lukyaputtatthero eko v³pakaµµho appamatto ±t±p² pahitatto viharanto nacirasseva yassatth±ya kulaputt± sammadeva ag±rasm± anag±riya½ pabbajanti, tadanuttara½ brahmacariyapariyos±na½ diµµheva dhamme saya½ abhińń± sacchikatv± upasampajja vih±si, “kh²ŗ± j±ti, vusita½ brahmacariya½, kata½ karaŗ²ya½, n±para½ itthatt±y±”ti abbhańń±si. Ańńataroca pan±yasm± m±lukyaputto arahata½ ahosi. Eva½ kho bhante tassa ±yasmato abhisampar±yo ahosi.
