Tattha vijj±ti vindiya½ k±yasucarit±di½ vindati y±th±vato upalabhat²ti vijj±. Tamokhandh±dipad±lanaµµhena v± attano paµipakkha½ vijjhat²ti vijj±. Tato eva attano visaya½ vidita½ karot²tipi vijj±.
Medhadh±tuvas± ceva, medh±dh±t³hi ca dvidh±;
medh±saddassa nipphatti½, medh±v² samud²raye.
Tattha medh±ti sammoha½ medhati hi½sat²ti medh±. P±pake v± akusale dhamme medhati hi½sat²tipi medh±. Atha v±–

dh±t³hi m±sasaddassa, nipphatti½ samud²raye.
Tath± hi satt±na½ ±yu½ m±nanto viya siyati anta½ karot²ti m±so, cittam±s±dayo dv±dasa m±s±. Seyyathida½? Citto vis±kho jeµµho ±s±¼ho s±vaºo bhaddo assayujo kattiko m±gasiro phusso m±gho phagguºoti. Tatra citto m±so “rammako”ti vuccati. “Yath±pi rammake m±se, bah³ pupphanti v±rij±”ti p±¼i dissati. Bhaddo pana “poµµhap±do”ti vuccati.

nipphatti½ samud²reyya, sakyas²hassa s±sane.

Bhidibhikkhidh±tuvas± atha v± bhayav±caka½;
bh²sadda½ purima½ katv±, ikkhadh±tuvasena ca;
bhikkhusaddassa nipphatti½, kathayeyya vicakkhaºo.

Sadabhid²hi dh±t³hi, sabbhisaddagati½ vade;
sappurise ca nibb±ne, esa saddo pavattati.
Atrim±ni nibbacan±ni– s²danasabh±ve kilese bhindat²ti sabbhi, sappuriso, yo “ariyo”tipi “paº¹ito”tipi vuccati. Apica s²danasabh±v± kiles± bhijjanti etth±ti sabbhi, nibb±na½, ya½ “r±gakkhayo”ti-±din±ma½ labhati. supubbakhanuto v±pi, sukhasaddagati½ vade.
Sukhanti hi sukhayat²ti sukha½. Yassuppajjati, ta½ sukhita½ karot²ti attho. Suµµhu dukkha½ kh±dat²tipi sukha½. Suµµu dukkha½ khanat²tipi sukha½.

Gandhadh±tuvas± c±pi, gamudh±tuvasena v±;
gamudh±dh±tuto v±pi, gandhasaddagati½ vade.
Tath± hi gandhayat²ti gandho, attano vatthu½ s³cayati “ida½ sugandha½, ida½ duggandhan”ti pak±seti, paµicchanna½, v± pupphaphal±di½ “idamettha atth²”ti pesuñña½ karonto viya ahos²ti attho. Atha v± gandhayati chindati man±pagandho sugandhabh±vena duggandha½, aman±pagandho ca duggandhabh±vena sugandhanti gandho. Ettha pana gandhasaddassa chedanav±cakatte–

Atha v± gacchanto dhariyate soti gandho. Vuttañheta½ bhadantena buddhadatt±cariyena veyy±karaºena niruttinayadassin± “dhariyat²ti gacchanto, gandho s³canatopi v±”ti.

rasasaddassa nipphatti½, ±hu dhammarasaññuno.
Rasoti hi rasanti ta½ ass±dent²ti raso, ramant± ta½ asant²tipi raso. Vuttampi ceta½ “ramam±n± na’sant²ti rasoti parid²pito”ti. Tatr±yamattho– devamanuss±dayo satt± yasm± ramam±n± na½ dhammaj±ta½ asanti bhakkhanti, tasm± ta½ dhammaj±ta½ raso n±m±ti niruttaññ³hi parid²pitoti. Padacchedo pana eva½ veditabbo–
Na½ asanti na sant²ti, padacchedo siy± tahi½;
kammak±rakabh±vena, attho hi tattha icchito.
Iti vutt±nus±rena, avuttesu padesupi;
yath±raha½ nayaññ³hi, nayo neyyo susobhano.
Dh±tucint±ya ye mutt±, anipphann±ti te mat±;
te c±pi bahavo santi, p²talohitak±dayo.
Nipphanne api dh±t³hi, sadde dhag±iti-±dayo;
anipphanna½va pekkhanti, gav±dividhibhedato.
Tath± hi “gacchat²ti go”, iti vuttapada½ puna;
anipphanna½ karitv±na, “g±vo” icc±dika½bravu½.
Ekantena anipphann±, sadd± vi¹³¹abh±dayo;
dh±tur³pakasadd± ca, “pabbat±yati”±dayo.
Seyyathida½? “Vi¹³¹abho, tisso, yev±pano, p²ta½, lohita½” iccevam±d²ni n±mikapad±ni anipphann±ni bhavanti. “N²la½, p²ta½, yev±panako” icc±d²ni pana n²lavaººe p²tavaººe. Ke re ge saddeti dh±tuvasena ±gatatt± n²lat²ti n²la½, p²tat²ti p²ta½, ye v± pana itivacanena bhagavat± kiyate kathiyateti yev±panakoti nibbacanamarahant²ti nipphann±n²ti vattabb±ni. Keci panettha vadeyyu½ “nanu n²lati p²tat²ti-±d²ni kriy±pad±ni tepiµake buddhavacane na dissant²”ti? Kiñc±pi na dissanti, tath±pi etarahi avijjam±n± pur±ºabh±s± es±ti gahetabb±ni. Yath± hi “n±that²ti n±tho”ti ettha kiñc±pi “n±that²”ti kriy±pada½ buddhavacane na dissati, tath±pi n±tha y±canopat±pissariy±s²sanes³ti dh±tuno diµµhatt± aµµhakath±cariy± gaºhi½suyeva, eva½ sampadamida½ daµµhabba½. Na hi kriy±padaparih²no dh±tu vucceyya.
Kiñca bhiyyo– yath± “y±va by±ti nim²sati, tatr±pi rasatibbayo”ti j±takap±¼iya½ imasmi½ buddhupp±de devamanuss±na½ voh±rapathe asañcaranta½ pur±ºabh±s±bh³ta½ “by±t²”ti kriy±padampi dissati, tath± “n²lati, p²tat²”ti-±d²hipi pur±ºabh±s±bh³tehi kriy±padehi bhavitabba½. Tattha y±va by±t²ti y±va umm²sati. Ayañhi tasmi½ k±le voh±ro, yasmi½ k±le bodhisatto c³¼abodhi n±ma paribb±jako ahosi. Yath± pana vi¹³¹abhasadd±dayo dh±tuvasena anipphann± n±ma vuccanti, tath± “pabbat±yati, samudd±yati, cicciµ±yati, dh³m±yati, duddubh±yati, mett±yati, karuº±yati, mam±yati” iccevam±dayo ca “chatt²yati, vatth²yati, parikkh±r²yati, dhan²yati, paµ²yati” iccevam±dayo ca “atihatthayati, upav²ºayati, da¼hayati, pam±ºayati, kusalayati, visuddhayati” iccevam±dayo ca dh±tuvasena anipphann±yeva n±ma vuccanti.
Tattha “pabbat±yat²”ti-±d²su saªgho pabbatamiva att±nam±carati pabbat±yati, eva½ samudd±yati. Saddo cicciµamiva att±nam±carati cicciµ±yati. Vatthu dh³mamiva att±nam±carati dh³m±yati. Saddo duddubha-iti ±carati duddubh±yati, bhikkhu mett±yati, tath± karuº±yati. “Mama idan”ti gaºhati mam±yati. Achatta½ chattamiva ±carati chatt²yati. Aputta½ puttamiva ±carati putt²yati, sissa½ ±cariyo, attano pattamicchati patt²yati. Eva½ vatth²yati, parikkh±r²yati, c²var²yati, dhan²yati, paµ²yati. Hatthin± atikkamati atihatthayati. V²º±ya upag±yati upav²ºayati. Da¼ha½ karoti v²riya½ da¼hayati. Pam±ºa½ karoti pam±ºayati. Kusala½ pucchati kusalayati. Visuddh± hoti ratti visuddh±yati.
Tatr±ya½ padam±l±– “pabbat±yati, pabbat±yanti. Pabbat±yasi, pabbat±yatha. Pabbat±y±mi, pabbat±y±m±”ti imin± nayena aµµhanna½ vibhatt²na½ vasena sesa½ sabba½ yojetabba½, eva½ “samudd±yati, chatt²yat²”ti-±d²su. Tatra k±ritavasenapi “pabbat±yanta½ payojayati pabbat±yati, puttiyanta½ payojayati putt²yati” icc±di padasiddhi bhavati. Aya½ pana padam±l±– pabbat±yati, pabbat±yanti. Pabbat±yasi. Sesa½ yojetabba½. Icceva½ dh±tuvasena nipphann±nipphannapad±ni vibh±vit±ni.
