Vuttañheta½ gar³hi “r³payat²ti r³pa½, vaººavik±ra½ ±pajjam±na½ hadayaªgatabh±va½ pak±set²ti attho”ti. Vuttampi ceta½ “r³panti kenaµµhena r³pa½? Ruppanaµµhen±”ti. Bhagavat± paneta½ vutta½ “kiñca bhikkhave r³pa½ vadetha, ruppat²ti kho bhikkhave tasm± r³panti vuccati. Kena ruppati, s²tenapi ruppat²”ti vitth±ro. Atthuddh±ro panassa heµµh± vuttova.

Aµµhakath±cariy± pana “samuddanaµµhena samuddo, kiledanaµµhena tenamanaµµhen±ti vutta½ hot²”ti vadanti. Sv±yamidha r±sito adhippeto. Ayañhi khandhaµµho n±ma piº¹aµµho p³gaµµho ghaµaµµho r±saµµho, tasm± r±silakkhaº± khandh±ti veditabb±. Koµµh±saµµh±tipi vattu½ vaµµati.
