Kińc±pi abhidhammaµµhakath±su abhiy±cako buddhaghoso bhikkhun±ti ca yatin±ti ca imeheva s±mańńaguŗapadehi vutto na theren±ti sag±ravaguŗapadena, tath±pi so “visuddh±c±ras²lena nipuŗ±malabuddhin±”ti ca, “adandhagatin± subuddhin±”ti ca imehi adhikaguŗapadehi thomitatt± “visuddhimagg±dik±rako ±cariyabuddhaghosoyev±”ti sakk± gahetu½. So hi upasampannak±latoyeva paµµh±ya ganthakovido pariyattivis±radaguŗasampanno, tasmińca k±le ³nadasavasso bhaveyya, tasm± theren±ti na vuttoti sakk± gahetunti.

Na hi ±cariyabuddhaghosatthero “tasmi½ k±le ³nadasavasso”ti sakk± gahetu½, visuddhimagganigamanepi “buddhaghosoti gar³hi gahitan±madheyyena theren±”ti vacanato, na ca “visuddh±c±ras²lena, nipuŗ±malabuddhin±”ti v±, “adandhagatin± subuddhin±”ti v± ettakeheva dv²hi dv²hi guŗapadehi thomanena suthomito hoti, ańńadatthu “nippabh²katakhajjoto samudeti div±karo”ti thomana½ viya hoti. Attano anucchavik±ni guŗapad±ni pak±sit±ni, soyeva ca por±ŗas²ha¼aµµhakath±yo saŖkhipitv± abhinavasaŖgahaµµhakath±na½ ±dikatt± pubbaŖgamo, ańńe pana abhinavaµµhakath±k±r± tasseva anuvattitv± avasesameka½ v± dve v± aµµhakath±yo aka½su. Abhidhammaµµhakath±su ca yo yo attho visuddhimagge vutto, so so yath±nuppattaµµh±ne tato gahetv± tatheva vutto. Visesato pana paµiccasamupp±davibhaŖgakhandh±yatanadh±tusaccavibhaŖgavaŗŗan±su jh±nakath±vaŗŗan±su ca ayamattho ativiya p±kaµo, yopi ca tattha appako katipayamatto visuddhimaggena visadiso sa½vaŗŗan±bhedo dissati, sopi ±bhidhammik±na½ mat±nus±rena yath± por±ŗaµµhakath±ya½ vutto, tatheva vuttoti veditabbo. Yath± ca aµµhas±liniya½ samantap±s±dik±ya vinayaµµhakath±ya atideso dissati [dha. sa. aµµha. 1 akusalakammapathakath±], tatheva samantap±s±dik±yampi aµµhas±liniy± atideso dissateva [p±r±. aµµha. 1.11;]. Yadi ca aµµhas±lin² ańńena kat± bhaveyya, katha½ t±su ańńamańń±tideso sakk± k±tu½. Tasm± abhidhammaµµhakath±su abhiy±cako buddhaghoso ±cariyena sam±nan±mo c³¼abuddhaghosoti y±vajjatan± ±cariyaparampar±ya gahito sotatthak²ganthak±rako ańńoyeva, na ±cariyamah±buddhaghosatthero. Teneva tattha vutta½ “bhikkhun±”ti ca “yatin±”ti ca.
Yadi pana ettakena niµµha½ na gaccheyya, evampi vic±retabba½– kinnu kho saŖghap±l±dayo ther± visuddhimagg±d²na½ karaŗatth±ya ±cariyabuddhaghosatthera½ ±y±cam±n± attan± samatthataroti saddahant± ±y±canti ud±hu asaddahant±ti? Saddahant±yeva ±y±cant²ti p±kaµoyev±yamattho. Tath± ca sati ±cariyabuddhaghosatthero saya½ ańńehi samatthatarova sam±no kasm± ańńa½ ±y±ceyya. Na hi saddh±sampannassa th±masampannassa yobbanasampannassa ±cariyassa sundaratara½ abhidhammaµµhakatha½ k±tu½ bh±riya½ bhavissati. Abhidhammaµµhakath±su ca vuttavacan±ni visuddhimagga-±gamaµµhakath±su vuttasa½vaŗŗan±vacanehi ek±k±r±neva honti. Yadi ca abhidhammaµµhakatha½ ańńo kareyya, kathamapi t±hi vacan±k±rassa visadisat± bhaveyya eva. Et±sa½ nigamane ca dassitena “buddhaghosoti gar³hi gahitan±madheyyena therena kat±”ti vacanena “±cariyabuddhaghosena kat±”tveva p±kaµ± honti, na ańńen±ti. Yepi “ańńena kat±”ti vadanti, tepi “imin± n±ma theren±”ti eka½sato dassetu½ na sakkonti, tath± dassetuńca lesamattampi s±dhakavacana½ na dissati. Tasm± abhidhammaµµhakath±yopi id±ni ±cariyehi c³¼abuddhaghosoti voharitena buddhaghosena n±ma bhikkhun±y±cito visuddhimaggavinay±gamaµµhakath±na½ k±rako ±cariyamah±buddhaghosattheroyeva ak±s²ti niµµhamettha gantabbanti.
Ya½ pana mah±va½se “±cariyabuddhaghoso s²ha¼ad²p±gamanato pubbe jambud²pe vasanak±leyeva aµµhas±lini½ ak±s²”ti adhipp±yena–
