Paramatthavinicchaya-n±mar³papariccheda-abhidhammatthasaŖgah±na½ k±rako ±cariya-anuruddhatthero [ekacce pana vadanti-paramatthavinicchayak±rako eko, n±mar³papariccheda-abhidhammatthasaŖgah±na½ k±rako ekoti dve anuruddhatther±ti] kańcivararaµµhe k±verinagaraj±tiko. Khuddakanik±yapariy±panna-ud±n±dip±¼iy± sa½vaŗŗan±bh³t±ya paramatthad²paniy± k±rako ±cariyadhammap±lattheropi dakkhiŗa-indiyaraµµhe kańcipuraj±tiko. Tathev±yamp²ti veditabbo. Vuttańhi manorathap³raŗiy± n±ma aŖguttaraµµhakath±ya nigamane–
“¾y±cito sumatin±, therena bhadantajotip±lena;
kańcipur±d²su may±, pubbe saddhi½ vasanten±”ti.
Ettha ca kańcipura½ n±ma madarasanagarassa ²saka½ pacchimanissite dakkhiŗadis±bh±ge pańcacatt±l²samilappam±ŗe padese id±ni kańj²vara iti voharitanagarameva.
Tath± papańcas³daniy± n±ma majjhimaµµhakath±ya nigamanepi–
“¾y±cito sumatin±, therena buddhamittena;
pubbe may³rad³ta [may³rar³pa (s².), may³rasutta (sy±.)] paµµanamhi saddhi½ vasanten±”ti– vutta½.
Ettha ca may³rad³tapaµµana½ n±ma id±ni madarasanagarasam²pe milapora iti voharitaµµh±nanti por±ŗappavattigaves²hi vutta½.
Im±hi pana nigamanag±th±hi dakkhiŗa-indiyaraµµheyeva nivutthapubbata½ pak±seti, bodhimaŗ¹asam²pe v±, marammaraµµhe v± nivutthapubbat±ya pak±sanańca na dissati. Tena ±cariyabuddhaghoso dakkhiŗa-indiyaraµµhiko na hot²ti na sakk± paµikkhipitu½.
Samantap±s±dik±yampi vinayaµµhakath±ya½ (3, 13) ±cariyena eva½ vutta½–
“Ya½ pana andhakaµµhakath±ya½ ‘aparikkhitte pamukhe an±patt²ti bh³miya½ vin± jagatiy± pamukha½ sandh±ya kathitan’ti vutta½, ta½ andhakaraµµhe p±µekkasannives± ekacchadan± gabbhap±¼iyo sandh±ya vuttan”ti.
Imin± pana vacanena “andhakaµµhakath± andhakaraµµhikehi therehi kat±”ti p±kaµ± hoti, ±cariyabuddhaghosopi ca andhakaµµhakath±ya sandh±yabh±sitampi tandesikagabbhap±¼isannives±k±rampi suµµhu j±n±ti, tasm± tandesiko na hot²ti na sakk± vattunti.
Tath± imassapi visuddhimaggassa nigamane– “moraŗ¹akheµakavattabben±”ti vutta½. Ettha ca kheµoti padassa g±moti v±, j±napad±na½ kassak±na½ niv±soti v±, khuddakanagaranti v± tayo atth± sakkat±bhidh±ne pak±sit±, dakkhiŗa-indiyaraµµhesu ca y±vajjatan±pi g±mo khe¹±ti vohar²yati. Tasm± moraŗ¹avhaye kheµe j±to moraŗ¹akheµako, moraŗ¹akheµako iti vattabbo moraŗ¹akheµakavattabbo, tena moraŗ¹akheµakavattabben±ti vacanattha½ katv± “moraŗ¹ag±me j±toti vattabbena theren±”ti attho gahetabbo. Id±ni pana dakkhiŗa-indiyaraµµhe gunt±janapade n±g±rajunakoŗ¹ato ekapaŗŗ±samilamatte (51) amaravatito ca aµµhapaŗŗ±samilamatte (58) padese kotanemalipur²ti ca gundalapall²ti ca voharita½ µh±nadvayamatthi, tattha ca bah³ni buddhas±sanikapor±ŗasantak±ni diµµh±ni, nemal²ti telaguvoh±ro ca morassa, gundalu iti ca aŗ¹assa, tasm± ta½ µh±nadvayameva pubbe moraŗ¹akheµoti voharito ±cariyabuddhaghosassa j±tig±mo bhaveyy±ti por±ŗaµµh±nagaves²hi gahito. Yasm± paneta½ “moraŗ¹akheµakavattabben±”ti pada½ “moraŗ¹ag±maj±ten±”ti pada½ viya p±¼inay±nucchavika½ na hoti, ańńehi ca bah³hi visesanapadehi ekato aµµhatv± visesyapadassa pacchato visu½ µhita½, ±gamaµµhakath±d²su ca na dissati, tasm± eta½ kenaci ta½k±likena ±cariyassa j±tiµµh±na½ sańj±nantena pakkhitta½ viya dissat²ti.
Imesu pana t²su “±cariyabuddhaghoso bodhimaŗ¹asam²pe j±toti ca marammaraµµhikoti ca dakkhiŗa-indiyaraµµhiko”ti ca vuttavacanesu pacchimameva balavatara½ hoti ±cariyasseva vacananissitatt±, tasm± tadeva niss±ya ±cariyabuddhaghosattherassa uppatti eva½ veditabb±.
