Pavatta½ cittanti sattasu µh±nesu sammasanavasena pavatta½ citta½. Sammasantoti ekajjha½ gahetv± sammasanto. Ta½ yuttataranti ta½ ariyava½sakath±ya½ vutta½ yuttatara½ ±sannabh±vena vibh³tatara½ r³pasattake sammasana½ saha gahetv± sammasanassa vuttatt±. 720. Idameva ca sammasana½ diguŗita½ anekasammasanapaµip±µisambhavato “paµip±µito sammasanan”ti vutta½. Vaµµeyy±ti sambhaveyya. Tath± sati paµip±µisammasanapasut± eva bh±van± siy±, na m³lakammaµµh±nupak±r², na c±ya½ sam±pattic±ro. Yasm± ca tattakena r³padhammesu, ar³padhammesu ca anicc±dilakkhaŗ±ni suµµhu vibh³t±ni honti, tasm± vutta½ “y±va dasamacittasammasan±…pe… µhapetabban”ti. 721. Visu½ sammasananayo n±ma natth²ti anicc±dimanasik±ravinimutto ańńo vipassan±manasik±ro natthi. Vipassan±ya ca diµµhi-±divikkhambhan± idha diµµhi-uggh±µan±dayoti adhippet±. Vipassan±ya eva hi pavattivisesena diµµhi-uggh±µan±dayo ijjhant²ti dassento “ya½ panetan”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha sattasańń±ti satt± atth²ti uppajjanakasańń±. Dubbal±ya attadiµµhiy± sahagatasańń±tipi vadanti. Sattasańńa½ uggh±µitacitten±ti sattasańń±ya vikkhambhanavasena pavattacittena diµµhi nuppajjati, sańń±vipall±sahetu-uppajjanak± cittadiµµhivipall±s± tadabh±vena hont²ti. M±no n±ma yo diµµh³panissayo ap±yagaman²yo, so diµµhiy± vikkhambhit±ya vikkhambhito eva hoti, diµµhiy± samucchinn±ya samucchijjanatoti ±ha “diµµhi-uggh±µita…pe… m±no nuppajjat²”ti. M±no vikkhambhiyam±no taŗh±ya pavatti½ niv±reti, abhimatavisayesu eva taŗh±ya pavattanatoti vutta½ “m±nasamuggh±µita…pe… taŗh± nuppajjat²”ti. Taŗh±ti idha sukhum± nikanti adhippet±ti ±ha “taŗh±ya…pe… pariy±dinn± n±ma hot²”ti.

Vipassitu½ sakkom²ti tattha samatthat±padesena guŗavisesayogato vipassan±ya ass±detabbat± dass²yati, citta½ vipassitu½ sakkomi. Tasm± vipassanto eva k±la½ v²tin±mess±m²ti vipassana½ ass±dentass±ti yojan±.
Yasm± diµµhisamuggh±µana½ n±mettha visesato anatt±nupassan±ya hoti, tasm± ta½ dassentena “sace saŖkh±r±”ti-±din± anatt±nupassan±vidhi½ vatv± yasm± pana anattato anupassantena saŖkh±r± aniccatopi dukkhatopi anupassitabb± eva tadupabr³hanato, tasm± “hutv± abh±vaµµhen±”ti-±di vutta½.
Yasm± m±nasamuggh±µana½ n±ma anicc±nupassan±ya hoti. Khaŗe khaŗe bhijjanake saŖkh±re passantassa kuto m±nassa avasaro. Aniccasańń± bh±vetabb± asmim±nasamuggh±µ±y±ti hi vutta½.
Yasm± nikantipariy±d±na½ n±ma dukkh±nupassan±ya hoti. Na hi sabh±vato, dukkhavatthuto ca dukkhabh³te saŖkh±re passantassa tattha ²sakampi abhirato hoti. Ass±d±nupassino hi tattha taŗh± uppajjeyya. Sesa½ anattalakkhaŗe vuttanayameva. Aya½ panettha saŖkhepattho– vuttanayena paµip±µito sammasana½ pasutassa yogino yad± anatt±nupassan± tikkh± s³r± visad± pavattati, itar± dvepi tadanugatik±, tad±nena diµµhi-uggh±µana½ kata½ hoti. Attadiµµhim³lik± hi sabb± diµµhiyo. Anatt±nupassan± ca attadiµµhiy± ujupaµipakkh±.
Yad± pana anicc±nupassan± tikkh± s³r± visad± pavattati, itar± dvepi tadanugatik± tad±nena m±nasamuggh±µana½ kata½ hoti. Sati hi niccag±he m±najappan± “ida½ nicca½, ida½ dhuvan”ti-±din± (ma. ni. 1.501) bakabrahmuno viya. Anicc±nupassan± ca niccag±hassa ujupaµipakkh±.
Yad± pana dukkh±nupassan± tikkh± s³r± visad± pavattati, itar± dvepi tadanugatik±, tad±nena nikantipariy±d±na½ kata½ hoti. Sati hi sukhasańń±ya taŗh±g±hova, dukkh±nupassan± ca nikantiy± ujupaµipakkh±. Eva½ tissanna½ anupassan±na½ kiccavisesavasena diµµhi-uggh±µan±d²ni honti. Tena vutta½ “iti aya½ vipassan± attano attano µh±neyeva tiµµhat²”ti. Anupassan±na½ yath±raha½ sakakiccakaraŗańhi sakaµµh±neyeva µh±na½, tasm± visu½ sammasananayo natth²ti na vattabbanti adhipp±yo.
722. Sabb±k±ratoti idha viya ekadesena avatv± sabb±k±rato sar³pato, kiccato ca anavasesato vattabb±. Idhev±ti t²raŗaparińń±yameva. Ekacc±na½yevettha anupassan±na½ paµil±bhoti ±ha “ekadesa½ paµivijjhanto”ti, t± pana sayameva sar³pato dassessati Tappaµipakkhe dhammeti y± anupassan± idha sambhavanti, t±sa½ paµipakkhe dhamme niccasańń±dike pajahati vikkhambheti.
Khay±nupassananti saŖkh±r±na½ khaŗabhaŖg±nupassana½. Bh±ventoti va¹¹hento. Ghanasańńanti santatisam³hakicc±rammaŗ±na½ vasena ekattaggahaŗa½. Khay±nupassananti hutv± abh±v±nupassananti vadanti. Y±ya pańń±ya ghanavinibbhoga½ katv± “anicca½ khayaµµhen±”ti (paµi. ma. 1.48) passati, s± khay±nupassan±. BhaŖg±nupassanato paµµh±ya tass± p±rip³r²ti ghanasańń±ya pah±na½ hoti, tato pubbe aparipuŗŗat±ya ta½ na hoti. Evamańńatth±p²ti paripuŗŗ±paripuŗŗat± pah±nat²raŗaparińń±su vipassan±pańń±ya daµµhabb±. Paccakkhato, anvayato ca saŖkh±r±na½ bhaŖga½ disv± tattheva bhaŖgasaŖkh±te nirodhe adhimuttat± vay±nupassan±, t±ya ±y³hana½ pajahati. Yadattha½, y±ya ca ±y³hati, tasmi½ pavatte taŗh±ya cassa citta½ na namat²ti. Tena vutta½ “vay±nupassana½ bh±vento ±y³hana½ pajahat²”ti. J±tassa jar±maraŗehi dvidh± pariŗ±madassana½, r³pasattak±divasena v± pariggahitassa ta½ta½paricchedato para½ ańńabh±vadassana½ vipariŗ±m±nupassan±, t±ya dhuvasańńa½ thirabh±vagahaŗa½ pajahati.
Animitt±nupassan±dayo anicc±nupassan±dayo eva. Nimittanti santatiya½, sam³he ca ekattasańń±ya gayham±na½ k±lantar±vaµµh±yibh±vena, niccabh±vena ca saŖkh±r±na½ sakiccaparicchedat±ya saviggaha½ viya upaµµh±namatta½. Paŗidhinti sukhapatthana½, r±g±dipaŗidhi½ v±, atthato taŗh±vasena saŖkh±resu ninnata½. Abhinivesanti att±bhinivesa½. Etesańhi nimitt±d²na½ paµipakkhabh±vena anicc±nupassan±dayo animitt±din±mehi vutt±ti anicc±nupassan±d²hi pah±tabb± niccasańń±dayo viya nimittagg±h±dayova paµipakkh±ti daµµhabb±. R³p±di-±rammaŗa½ ńatv± tad±rammaŗassa cittassa bhaŖga½ disv± saŖkh±r± eva bhijjanti, saŖkh±r±na½ maraŗa½, na ańńo koci atth²ti bhaŖgavasena suńńata½ gahetv± pavatt± vipassan± adhipańń± ca s± dhammesu ca vipassan±ti adhipańń±dhammavipassan±, t±ya niccas±r±di-±d±navasena pavatta½ abhinivesa½ sataŗha½ diµµhi½ pajahati. Yath±bh³tań±ŗadassana½ n±ma sappaccayan±mar³padassana½. Tena “ahosi½ nu kho ahamat²tamaddh±nan”ti (ma. ni. 1.18; sa½. ni. 2.20) evam±dika½, “issarato loko sambhavat²”ti evam±dikańca sammoh±bhinivesa½ pajahati. Bhayatupaµµh±navasena uppanna½ sabbabhav±d²su ±d²navadassanań±ŗa½ ±d²nav±nupassan±, t±ya kassacipi ±layanissaya-adassanato ±lay±bhinivesa½ tath±pavatta½ taŗha½ pajahati. SaŖkh±r±na½ muńcanassa up±yabh³ta½ paµisaŖkh±ń±ŗa½ paµisaŖkh±nupassan±, t±ya anicc±d²su appaµisaŖkh±tatt± paµisaŖkh±nassa paµipakkhabh³ta½ avijja½ pajahati. Anicc±nupassan±dayo satta anupassan± heµµh± atthato vibhatt±ti, parato ca sa½vaŗŗ²yant²ti idha na vutt±.
T±s³ti aµµh±rasasu mah±vipassan±su. Imin±ti yogin±. Tasm±ti anicc±dilakkhaŗattayavasena saŖkh±r±na½ diµµhatt±. Ta½dassanańhi anicc±di-anupassan±ti. Paµividdh±ti paµiladdh±. Yadaggena hi ń±ŗena savisayo paµividdho, tadaggena ta½ paµiladdha½ n±ma hoti. Byańjanameva n±na½ yath± “rukkho p±dapo tar³”ti. T±pi animitt±paŗihitasuńńat±nupassan±.
Sabb±pi vipassan±, tasm± ekadesena paµividdh± hont²ti adhipp±yo. KaŖkh±vitaraŗavisuddhiy± eva saŖgahita½, tasm± ta½ pageva siddhanti attho. Ten±ha “idampi dvaya½ paµividdhameva hot²”ti. Sesesu nibbid±nupassan±d²su dasasu. “Kińci paµividdha½ kińci appaµividdhan”ti imin± tesa½ ekadesapaµivedham±ha. Anicc±nupassan±ya hi siddh±ya nirodh±nupassan±, khay±nupassan±, vay±nupassan±, vipariŗ±m±nupassan± ca ekadesena siddh± n±ma honti, dukkh±nupassan±ya siddh±ya nibbid±nupassan±, ±d²nav±nupassan± ca, anatt±nupassan±ya siddh±ya itar±ti.
