Ajjhatta½ v± hi vipassan±bhiniveso hotu bahiddh± v±, ajjhattasiddhiya½ pana lakkhaºato sabbampi n±mar³pa½ anavasesato pariggahitameva hot²ti. Paccayapariggahen±ti hetumhi karaºavacana½. Paccayapariggahahetu hissa addhattayakaªkh±vitaraºa½ hot²ti, karaºe v± eta½ karaºavacana½ paccayapariggahassa s±dhakatamabh±vato kaªkh±vitaraºakiriy±ya. Yad± hissa suparisuddho nijjaµo niggumbo paccayapariggaho sijjhati, tad±nena kaªkh± vitar²yat²ti. Vitaritv±ti atikkamitv±, vikkhambhetv±ti attho. Ta½ pana ñ±ºa½ tath±dhigata½ vas²bh±vappatta½ jh±na½ viya yogino sant±ne pabandhavasena pavattat²ti katv± vutta½ “µhita½ ñ±ºan”ti.
Tanti kaªkh±vitaraºavisuddhi½. Ta½ samp±detuk±mo ±pajjat²ti sambandho. Y±th±vato diµµha½ n±mar³pa½ tividhadukkhat±yogato rogo viya. Paccay± cassa rogasamuµµh±na½ viya upaµµhahant²ti imamattha½ dassento “yath± n±ma…pe… pariyesat²”ti ±ha. Sa½s±radukkhanimuggassa sant±nassa tato vimocetuk±mat±vasena anukampitabbat± labbhat²ti tamattha½ dassetu½ “yath± v± pan±”ti-±di vutta½. Evameva µhite yadeke vadanti “anukampetabbakum±rakadassanena tassa m±t±pitu-±vajjana½ idha anud±haraºa½ nirodhetabbat±ya n±mar³passa anukampitabbat±bh±vato”ti, tadap±hata½ hoti. Avassañceta½ eva½ icchitabba½, aññath± veneyyapuggalasant±ne satthu mah±karuº±pavatti eva vic±retabb± siy±. Mandabuddhit±ya manda½. Vu¹¹hataropi koci mandabuddhi hot²ti tato visesanattha½ “kum±ran”ti vutta½. Yo koci paµhamavaye vattam±no “kum±ro”ti vuccat²ti tato visesanattha½ “daharan”ti vutta½. Evampi yo ±dh±vitv± paridh±vitv± vic±raºako taruºad±rako, sopi “daharo”ti vuccat²ti tato nivattanattha½ “utt±naseyyakan”ti vutta½. Cat³hipi padehi karuº±yitabbata½yeva dasseti. ¾pajjat²ti karoti.
Yath± panassa hetupaccayapariyesan±patti hoti, ta½ dassetu½ “so”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha byatirekamukhena attho s±dhito sammadeva s±dhito hot²ti ahetukabh±va½ t±va paµikkhipanto “na t±vida½ n±mar³pa½ ahetukan”ti vatv± tattha k±raºam±ha “sabbatth±”ti-±din±. Hetumantarena sati sambhave sabbadhamm±na½ hetu-abh±vo sam±noti sabbasam±nat± siy±, tath± ca sati sotapades±d²su, bahiddh± ca cakkhuviññ±º±dihetu-abh±voti sabbattha, cakkh±d²na½ uppattito pubbe, paribhedato uddhañca hetu-abh±voti sabbad± ca andh±d²na½ ar³p²na½, asaññ²nañca hetu-abh±voti sabbesañca cakkhuviññ±º±d²hi bhavitabba½, hetu-abh±v± visesato tañca natth²ti ±ha “sabbattha sabbad± sabbesañca ekasadisabh±v±pattito”ti. Nidassanamattañceta½ yadida½ “cakkhuviññ±º±d²su h²”ti. Yattak± loke vises±, tehi sabbesa½, sabbak±lañca bhavitabbanti adhipp±yo. ¾di-saddena v± tesampi gahaºa½ katamev±ti daµµhabba½. Tasm± ahetukabh±ve visiµµhat±ya asambhavo ev±ti sabbattha ekasadisabh±v±pattito, sabbad± ekasadisabh±v±pattito, sabbesa½ ekasadisabh±v±pattitoti pacceka½ sambandho veditabbo. Eva½ ahetubh±ve paµisiddhe visamahetuv±d² vadeyya “na ida½ ahetuka½ kiñcarahi sahetuka½, kena pana hetun± sahetukanti? Issar±din±”ti.
¾di-saddena pakatipurisapaj±patik±l±d²na½ gahaºa½ veditabba½, ta½ paµikkhipanto ±ha “na issar±dihetukan”ti-±di. Na n±mar³pa½ issar±dihetuka½ n±mar³pato aññassa anupalabbham±natt± issarapakati-±dinameva abh±vato. Yadi pana asato issar±dito n±mar³passa uppatti, eva½ sati s± eva sabbattha sabbad± sabbesa½ ekasadisat± ±pajjati. Atha n±mar³pamattameva issar±dihetuka½, n±mar³pañca ahutv± sambhavanta½, hutv± ca vinassanta½ dissat²ti issar±d²hipi t±disehi bhavitabba½. Tath± ca tadapi sappaccaya½ saªkhatamev±ti tass±pi paccayapariggaho k±tabbo. Atha ta½ nuppajjati, ahetukat± tassa ±pann±. Ten±ha “ahetukabh±v±pattito”ti.
Apica na issar±dihetuka½ n±mar³pa½. Ki½ k±raºa½? Kamena uppattito. Yadi hi eva½ nicca½ issar±disaññita½ kammakilesindriy±rammaº±dinirapekkhak±raºampi siy±, sabbesa½yeva ekajjha½ uppatti siy±, yattakehi tato uppajjitabba½. Kasm±? K±raºassa sannihitabh±vato. Yadi pana tassa icch±vasena tassa uppatti½ parikappeyyu½, t±sañca icch±na½ ekajjha½ uppattiya½ ko vibandho. Atha aññampi kiñci kammakilesindriy±rammaº±di-apekkhitabba½ atth²ti ce? Tadeva hetu k±raºa½, kimaññena adiµµhas±matthiyena parikappitena payojana½? Diµµhañhi kamm±d²na½ s±matthiya½ tadaññapaccayasannidh±nepi tadabh±ve abh±vato. Yath± hi r³p±lokamanasik±rasannidh±nepi cakkhuno abh±ve cakkhuviññ±ºassa abh±va½, bh±ve ca bh±va½ disv± cakkhuno cakkhuviññ±ºupp±danasamatthat± atth²ti viññ±yati. Yath± ca yv±ya½ yamak±nampi sam±n±na½ janakajanan²sukkasoºit±dib±hirapaccayasamabh±vepi satt±na½ h²napaº²tat±diviseso dissati, so ca sasant±ne t±disassa aññassa hetuno abh±v± kammakilesahetukoti tassa tattha samatthat± atth²ti viññ±yati, na evamissar±dikassa. K±raºassa hi bh±v±bh±ve phalassa bh±v±bh±vehi k±raºassa samatthat± viññ±yeyya. Na ca sannihite tadak±raºassa n±mar³passa issar±divekallena katthaci anuppatti diµµh±, tasm± ak±raºamissaro.
Ath±pi saggo eva½ issar±dihetuko vucceyya, sopi saggappak±ro sabbak±la½ tato nibbatteyya. Na hi sannihitak±raºassa phalassa anuppatti yutt±. Nicce ca sati aññanirapekkhak±raºe saggassa ±diyeva na yutto, y±va issar±dika½ k±raºa½, t±va sabbassa atthibh±vappasaªgato. Ath±pi vadeyya “aññepi yath±raha½ paccay± hontiyeva, issar±dikampi tesa½ sahak±r²k±raºa½ hot²”ti. Yadettha vattabba½, ta½ heµµh± vuttameva. Yadi paro vadeyya “idha buddhipubbo bh±v±na½ racan±viseso diµµho, yath± ta½ ghaµageh±d²na½. Atthi ca ajjhattikab±hir±na½ sar²rapadum±d²na½ racan±viseso, tasm± ten±pi buddhipubbena bhavitabba½. Yassa ca so buddhipubbo, so issar±diko, tasm± tena n±mar³pasaññitassa lokassa k±raºena bhavitabban”ti. Tayida½ asiddha½, racit± sar²rapadum±dayoti tattheva uppannatt±. Uppannassa hi sannivesavasena tath± tath± paµµhapana½ “racan±”ti vuccati. Anekantiko c±ya½ abuddhipubbass±pi diµµhatt±. Diµµho hi nh±ru-±d²na½ aggisa½yogena racan±viseso, tath± visussant±na½ pubbacamm±d²na½. Yadi pan±yamissar±diko gavassajagadrabh±d²na½ kar²s±vatte paµimahuta½ raceyya, ummatto viya vikkhitto siy±. Kiñc±ya½ loka½ sajjento attattha½ v± sajjeyya lokattha½ v±.
Tattha ca yadi purimo makkho katakicco na siy± lokena s±dhetabbassa atthibh±vato. Atha dutiyo, kasm± lokassa ahitadukkh±vaha½ p±pa½ niray±di½, jar±maraº±diñca sajati? Atha tadubhaya½ an±masitv± k²¼attha½ sajati. K²¼± ca n±ma rati-atth± hoti. Vin± k²¼±ya rati½ aj±nant±na½ rati-atthañca k²¼am±rabhanto ratiya½ issaro anissaro siy±. Atha payojananirapekkho, sabbak±la½ sajeyya, tassa c±ya½ sajanasamatthat± ahetuk± v± siy± sahetuk± v±. Ahetuk± ce, sabbesa½ siy± sahetuk± v±. Ahetuk± ce, sabbesampi siy±. Atha sahetuk±, so cassa hetu parato v± sambh³to siy± attato v±. Tattha parato ce sambh³to, yadassa so laddho, tass±ya½ veyy±vaccakarasadiso siy±. Atha attato taduppattito pubbe aya½ k²diso loko c±ti sabbamida½ ±lunavisiºa½ ±kulaby±kula½ goy³thena gatamaggasadisapheºapiº¹asama½ avimaddakkhama½ as±ra½. Tiµµhatu pasaªgo, yath±dhikatameva vaººayiss±ma. Tasm±ti yasm± ida½ n±mar³pa½ na ahetuka½, n±pi issar±divisamahetuka½, tasm±. Teti hetupaccay±.
679. O¼±rikatt±, sup±kaµatt± ca r³passa paccayapariggaho sukaroti “imassa t±va r³pak±yass±”ti-±din± paµhama½ tassa paccayapariggahavidhi½ ±rabhati. Tattha yath± n±mar³passa paccayapariggaho ahetuvisamahetuv±danivattiy± hoti, eva½ nibbid±vir±g±vahabh±vena tattha abhiratinivattiy±pi icchitabboti ta½ gabbhaseyyakavasena dassento nibbattaµµh±nassa sucibh±vapaµisedhanamukhena asucibh±va½ vibh±vetu½ “aya½ k±yo”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha uppal±d²ni asuciµµh±ne nibbatt±nipi saya½ sucisammat±nev±ti ta½dassanattha½ abbhantaraggahaºa½. Ten±ha bhagav±–
“Yath± saªk±radh±nasmi½, ujjhitasmi½ mah±pathe;
paduma½ tattha j±yetha, sucigandha½ manoraman”ti. (Dha. pa. 58).
“Nibbattat²”ti ida½ m±tukucchiya½ paµisandhipavatt²su r³pak±yassa nibbattanas±maññato gahetv± vutta½, na paµham±bhinibbattimatta½. Evañca katv± ±h±rassa upatthambhakapaccayat±vacana½, udarapaµalassa pacchato karaº±divacana½, duggandhajegucchapaµikk³lat±vacanañca samatthita½ hoti. Evamavaµµhite yadekaccehi piµµhito, purato ca karaºa½ ki½ siy± paµisandhik±leti-±di vutta½, ta½ ap±hata½ hoti. “Nibbattakatt±”ti imin± b²ja½ viya aªkurassa avijj±dayo r³pak±yassa as±dh±raºak±raºat±ya het³ti dasseti. “Upatthambhakatt±”ti imin± pana aªkurassa pathav²salilap±risi-±dayo viya ±h±ro s±dh±raºak±raºat±ya paccayoti dasseti.
Pañca dhamm± hetupaccay±ti avijj±dayo pañca dhamm± yath±raha½ hetu ca paccayo c±ti attho. Bhavesu vijjam±nadosapaµicch±danapatthan± da¼hagg±habh±vena saªkh±rabhav±na½ hetubh³t± janakasah±yat±ya bhavanikanti ta½sahaj±ta-±sannak±raºatt± abhisaªkh±rik±, apassayabh³t± c±ti “m±t± viya d±rakassa upanissay±”ti vutt±. Yath± pitu janitasukke puttassa uppatt²ti pit± janako, eva½ kamma½ sattassa upp±dakatt± janaka½ vutta½. Yath± dh±ti j±tassa d±rakassa posanavasena sandh±rik±, eva½ ±h±ro uppannassa k±yass±ti sandh±rako vutto.
K±mañcettha avijj±dayo n±mak±yass±pi paccayo, pak±rantarena pana tassa p±kaµa½ paccayapariggahavidhi½ dassetu½ “cakkhuñca paµicc±”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha cakkhuñc±ti ca-saddo samuccayattho. Tena cakkhuviññ±ºassa ±vajjan±di-ajjhatta½ sabba½ paccayaj±ta½ saªgaºh±ti. R³pe c±ti pana ca-saddena yath± bahula½ b±hirar³pa½ cakkhuviññ±ºassa ±rammaºapaccayo, eva½ aññampi b±hira½ paccayaj±ta½ saªgaºh±ti. Paµicc±ti paccayabh³ta½ laddh±ti attho. Tena cakkhussa nissayapurej±ta-indriyavippayutta-atthi-avigatavasena, r³passa ±rammaºapurej±ta-atthi-avigatavasena, itaresañca saªgahit±na½ anantar±disahaj±t±divasena paccayabh±va½ dasseti. Vacanabhede pana k±raºa½ heµµh± vuttameva. ¾di-saddena ca phass±d²na½ viya sahapaccayehi sotaviññ±º±d²na½ saªgaho veditabbo “tiººa½ saªgati phasso”ti-±dip±µhassa (ma. ni. 1.204; 3.421, 425-426; sa½. ni. 2.43-45; kath±. 465, 467) viya “sotañca paµicc±”ti-±dip±µhassa saªgahitatt±. Eva½ sammasanupaga½ sabba½ n±ma½ sahapaccayena saªgahita½ hoti. Ten±ha “n±mak±yassa paccayapariggaha½ karot²”ti.
