Pubbabh±geti ariyamaggato pubbabh±ge. Anaññ±tanti na aññ±ta½ na adhigata½. Niccat±ya natthi etassa mata½ bhaªgo, na v± etasmi½ adhigate maraºanti amata½, pajjitabbato padañc±ti amatapada½ nibb±na½. “Eva½ paµipannassa uppajjanato”ti etena pubbabh±gavaseneta½ indriya½ eva½ vohar²yat²ti dasseti. ¾j±nanatoti paµhamamaggena diµµhamariy±da½ anatikkamitv±va j±nanato. Yena ta½samaªgipuggalo, ta½sampayuttadhamm± v± aññ±t±vino honti so aññ±t±vibh±vo pariniµµhitakiccaj±nanakh²º±savassa bh±vabh³to hutv± uppattito “kh²º±savassa uppajjanato”ti vutta½.
Liªgeti gameti ñ±pet²ti liªga½, liªg²yati v± eten±ti liªga½. Ki½ liªgeti, ki½ v± liªg²yat²ti? Inda½, indo v±. Ulliªgenti ñ±penti pak±senti phalasampattivipatt²hi k±raºasampattivipatti-avabodhato. “So ta½ nimitta½ ±sevat²”ti-±d²su (a. ni. 9.35) gocarakaraºampi ±sevan± vutt±ti ±ha “k±nici gocar±sevan±y±”ti. Tattha sabbesa½ gocarik±tabbattepi “k±nic²”ti vacana½ avipassitabb±na½ bahula½ manasikaraºena an±sevan²yatt±. Paccavekkhan±mattameva hi tesu hot²ti. “Tassa ta½ magga½ ±sevato”ti-±d²su (a. ni. 4.170) bh±van± ±sevan±ti vutt±ti bh±vetabb±ni saddh±d²ni sandh±y±ha “k±nici bh±van±sevan±y±”ti.
¾dhipacca½ indriyapaccayabh±vo. Asatipi ca indriyapaccayabh±ve itthipurisindriy±na½, attano attano paccayavasena pavattam±ne ta½sahitasant±ne aññ±k±rena appavattam±nehi liªg±d²hi anuvattan²yabh±ve ±dhipacca½. Imasmi½ ca atthe indanti parimissariya½ karonticceva indriy±ni. Cakkh±d²su dassitena nayena aññesañca j²vit±d²na½ tadanuvatt²su ±dhipacca½ yath±raha½ yojetabba½.
Amohoyeva na visu½ catt±ro dhamm±, tasm± tassa saªkh±rakkhandhakath±ya½ vibh±vit±ni lakkhaº±d²ni tesañca veditabb±n²ti adhipp±yo. Ses±ni tattha khandhaniddese lakkhaº±d²hi ar³peneva ±gat±ni.
526. Satt±na½ ariyabh³mipaµil±bho bhagavato desan±ya s±dh±raºa½, pad±nañca payojananti ±ha “ajjhattadhamme pariññ±y±”ti-±di. Aññesampi indriy±na½ attabh±vapariy±pannat±ya satipi attabh±vapaññ±pan±ya m³labh±vato cakkh±d²na½ s±tisay± attabh±vapariy±pann±ti vutta½ “attabh±vapariy±pann±ni cakkhundiy±d²n²”ti (vibha. aµµha. 219). Abhidhammaµµhakath±ya½itthipurisindriy±nantara½ j²vitindriyadesan±kkamo vuttoti idh±pi “tato j²vitindriyan”ti vutta½. Ta½ indriyayamakadesan±ya (yama. 3.indriyayamaka.1 ±dayo) sameti. Indriyavibhaªge (vibha. 219 ±dayo) pana manindriy±nantara½ j²vitindriya½ vutta½, ta½ purimapacchim±na½ ajjh±ttikab±hir±na½ anup±lakabh±vad²panattha½ tesa majjhe vuttanti veditabba½. Yañca kiñci vedayita½, sabba½ ta½ dukkha½. Y±va ca duvidhattabh±v±nup±lakassa j²vitindriyassa pavatti, t±va dukkhabh³t±na½ etesa½ vedayit±na½ anivatt²ti ñ±panattha½, tena ca cakkh±d²na½ dukkh±nubandhat±ya pariññeyyata½ ñ±peti. Paµipattidassanatthanti pubbabh±gapaµipattidassanattha½. Tassev±ti anaññ±taññass±m²tindriyasseva. Tato anantara½ bh±vetabbatt±ti bh±van±maggasampayutta½ aññindriya½ sandh±ya vutta½. Dassan±ntar± hi bh±van±ti.
Bhedoti idha sabh±vato bhedo adhippeto, na bh³mipuggal±divasen±ti ±ha “ses±na½ abhedo”ti. Nanu ca j²vitindriyassa anup±lanalakkhaºa½ sabh±vo, tenassa duvidhass±pi abhedoti? Saccameta½, tassa pana r³p±r³pasabh±vakato bhedo gahito, na eva½ ses±na½ koci bhedo atth²ti tesa½ abhedoti bhed±bh±vo vutto. Nanu cettha vedan±, paññ± ca bhinditv± vutt±ti? Na, yath± desitesu b±v²satiy± indriyesu bhed±bhedassa adhippetatt±.
527. Cakkhundriy±d²na½ satipi purej±t±dipaccayabh±ve indriyapaccayabh±vena s±dhetabbameva kicca½ kiccanti vutta½ tassa anaññas±dh±raºatt±, indriyakath±ya ca adhikatatt±. Attano tikkhamand±di-±k±ro att±k±ro, tassa anuvatt±pana½ att±k±r±nuvatt±pana½. Ten±ha “tikkhamand±disaªkh±ta-att±k±r±nuvatt±panan”ti. Atha v± tikkhamand±disaªkh±tassa ca att±k±rassa ca anuvatt±pana½ tikkha…pe… vatt±pana½. Visu½ att±k±raggahaºena cettha r³p±vabh±san±dikassa saªgaho daµµhabbo. Cakkhundriyassa hi r³p±bhihananayogyat±saªkh±te r³p±vabh±sanas±matthiye asati na kad±cipi cakkhuviññ±ºassa dassanakicca½ sambhavati. Esa nayo sotindriy±d²supi. Pubbaªgamabh±vena manindriyassa vas±vatt±pana½ hoti, na aññesa½. Ta½sampayutt±nipi hi indriy±ni tabbaseneva hutv± attano attano indriyakicca½ s±dhenti cetasikabh±vato na tesa½ vasena manindriya½ Ayañhissa pubbaªgamat±. Sabbattha ca indriyapaccayabh±vena s±dhetabbanti adhik±ro anuvattat²ti daµµhabbo. Satipi anupp±dane, anupatthambhane ca tappaccay±na½ tappavattane nimittabh±vo anuvidh±na½.
Ch±detv± pharitv± uppajjam±n± sukhadukkhavedan± sahaj±tadhamme abhibhavitv± ajjottharitv± sayameva p±kaµ± hoti, sahaj±tadhamm± ca tass± vasena sukhadukkhab±vappat± viya hont²ti ±ha “yath±saka½ o¼±rik±k±r±nup±panan”ti. Asantassa, apaº²tassapi akusalatabbip±k±disampayuttassa yath±raha½ majjhatt±k±r±nup±pana½ yojetabba½. Sam±naj±tiyehi v± sukhadukkhehi santapaº²t±k±r±nup±pana½ daµµhabba½. Paµipakkh±bhibhavananti assaddhiy±dipaµipakkh±bhibhavana½. Pasann±k±r±d±ti pasannapaggahita-upaµµhitasam±hitadassan±k±r±nup±pana½ yath±kkama½ saddh±d²na½. By±p±d±d²ti ±di-saddena uddhambh±giyasa½yojan±ni gahit±ni. Maggasampayuttasseva ca aññindriyassa kicca½ dassita½. Teneva ca phalasampayuttassa ta½ta½sa½yojanappaµippassaddhipah±nakiccat± dassit± hot²ti. Katasabbakiccassa aññ±t±vindriya½ aññassa k±tabbassa abh±v± amat±bhimukhameva tabbh±vapaccayo ca hoti, na itar±ni viya kiccantarapasuta½. Ten±ha “amat±bhimukhabh±vapaccayat± c±”ti.
528. Bh³mito vinicchayo utt±nattho eva. Etth±ha– kasm± pana ettakeneva indriy±ni vutt±ni, et±ni eva ca vutt±n²ti? ¾dhipaccaµµhavasena, ±dhipacca½ n±ma issariyanti vuttameveta½. Tayida½ ±dhipacca½ attano attano kicce, phale c±ti aññesampi sabh±vadhamm±na½ kasm± na labbhati? Paccay±dh²navuttik± hi paccayuppann±ti siy± phalahetudhammesu anuvattan±nuvattan²yat±ti? Saccameta½, tath±pi atthi tesa½ viseso. Sv±ya½ “cakkhuviññ±º±dippavattiyañhi cakkh±d²na½ siddham±dhipaccan”ti-±din± (vibha. aµµha. 219) aµµhakath±ya½ dassitoyeva. Apica khandhapañcake y±ya½ sattapaññatti, tass± visesanissayo “cha ajjhattik±ni ±yatan±n²”ti t±ni t±va ±dhipaccatta½ up±d±ya “cakkhundriya½…pe…manindriyan”ti-±dito (vibha. 219) vutt±ni. Sv±ya½ attabh±vo imesa½ vasena “itth² puriso”ti samañña½ labhat²ti dassanattha½ bh±vadvaya½. Tayime up±dinnadhamm± yena dhammena pavattanti, aya½ so dhammo tesa½ µhitihet³ti dassanattha½ j²vitindriya½. Sv±ya½ sattasaññito dhammapuñjo pabandhavasena pavattam±no im±hi vedan±hi sa½kilissat²ti dassanattha½ vedan±pañcaka½. Tato visuddhik±m±na½ vod±nasambh±radassanattha½ saddh±dipañcaka½. Sambhavavod±nasambh±r± imehi visujjanti, visuddhippatt± niµµhitakicc±va hont²ti dassanattha½ anaññ±taññass±m²tindriy±d²ni t²ºi vutt±ni. Sabbattha “±dhipaccatta½ up±d±y±”ti pada½ yojetabba½. Ett±vat± adhippetatthasiddh²ti aññesa½ aggahaºa½.
Atha v± pavattinivatt²na½ nissar±didassanattampi et±niyeva vutt±ni. Pavattiy± hi visesato m³lanissayabh³t±ni cha ajjhattik±yatan±ni. Yath±ha “chasu loko samuppanno”ti-±di (su. ni. 171). Tassa uppatti itthipurisindriyehi visabh±gavatthusar±ganimittehi yebhuyyena sattak±yassa abhinibbatti. Vuttañheta½ “tiººa½ kho, mah±r±ja, sannip±t± gabbhassa avakkanti hoti m±t± ca utun² hoti, gandhabbo ca paccupaµµhito hoti, m±t±pitaro ca sannipatit± hont²”ti-±di (ma. ni. 1.408; mi. pa. 4.1.6). Avaµµh±na½ j²vitindriyena tena anup±letabbato. Ten±ha “±yu µhiti yapan± y±pan±”ti-±di (dha. sa. 19). Upabhogo vedan±hi. Vedan±vasena hi iµµh±disabbavisay³pabhogo. Yath±ha “vedayati vedayat²ti kho, bhikkhave, tasm± vedan±ti vuccat²”ti (ma. ni. 1.450). Eva½ pavattiy± nissayasamupp±daµµhitisambhogadassanatta½ cakkhundriya½ y±va upekkhindriyanti cuddasindriy±ni desit±ni. Yath± cet±ni pavattiy±, eva½ itar±ni nivattiy±. Vivaµµasannissitena hi nibbattit±ni saddh±d²ni pañcindriy±ni nivattiy± nissayo. Upp±do anaññ±taññass±m²tindriyena tassa nivattivasena paµhama½ uppajjanato. Avaµµh±na½ aññindriyena, upabhogo aññ±t±vindriyena aggaphalasamupabhogato. Kh²º±sav±hi visavit±ya nibbutisukha½ paribhujjanti. Evampi et±ni eva indriy±ni desit±ni. Ett±vat± yath±dhippetatthasiddhito aññesa½ aggahaºa½. Imin±va nesa½ desan±kkamopi sa½vaººitoti veditabboti.
