Atha v± vedayita½ lakkhaºa½ etiss±ti kappan±siddha½ bheda½ niss±ya aññapadatthasam±savasen±pi vedan±va vuccat²ti ±ha “vedayitalakkhaºa½ n±ma vedan±v±”ti. Vedayati vedayat²ti by±panicch±vasena vacana½ vedan±ya savisaye abhiºhappavattidassanattha½. Sabh±vadhammato añño katt± natth²ti dassanattha½ kattuniddeso. It²ti aniyamato hetu-attho. “Kusalaviññ±ºena sampayutt±”ti ida½ kusal±ya vedan±ya upalakkhaºa½ daµµhabba½. Y± k±ci kusal± vedan±, sabb± s± kusalena viññ±ºena sampayutt±ti, na pana tass± kusalabh±vasa½siddhidassanattha½. Na hi kusalena viññ±ºena sampayogato kusal±ya vedan±ya kusalabh±vo, atha kho yonisomanasik±r±dikato. Ten±ha “j±tivasen±”ti. Akusal±d²supi eseva nayo. Yath± pana j±tivasena kusal±diviññ±ºasampayuttat±ya tividh±, eva½ y±va ek³nanavutiviññ±ºasampayutt±ti ek³nanavutividh± veditabb±. Sabh±vabhedatoti sampayuttabh³mi-±rammaº±divasena labbham±na½ bheda½ aggahetv± kevala½ sabh±vakatabhedato ev±ti attho.
“Pañcavidh±”ti vatv± ta½ pañcavidhata½ dassetu½ “sukhan”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha sukhayat²ti sukha½, k±ya½, sampayuttadhamme ca laddhass±de karot²ti attho. Suµµhu v± kh±dati, khaºati v± k±yika½ ±b±dhanti sukha½. Sukara½ ok±sad±na½ etass±ti sukhanti apare. Dukkhayat²ti dukkha½, k±ya½, sampayuttadhamme ca vib±dhat²ti attho. Duµµhu v± kh±dati, khaºati v± k±yika½ ass±danti dukkha½. Dukkara½ ok±sad±na½ etass±ti dukkhanti apare. Somanassupekkh±na½ saddattho heµµh± vuttoyeva. Domanassassa somanasse vuttanay±nus±rena veditabba½. Ki½ pana k±raºa½ m±nasetaras±t±s±tavasena sukha½, dukkhañca vibhajitv± vutta½ “sukha½ somanassa½ dukkha½ domanassan”ti, upekkh± pana m±nas², itar± ca ekadh±va vutt±ti? Bhed±bh±vato. Tattha yena sabh±vabhedena vedan± pañcavidh±, s± pavattiµµh±ne dassite sup±kaµ± hot²ti pavattiµµh±na½ t±va dassetu½ “tatth±”ti-±di ±raddha½. Akusalavip±ken±ti etth±pi “k±yaviññ±ºena sampayuttan”ti ±netv± sambandhitabba½. Yath± adhikaraº²matthake kapp±sapicupiº¹a½ µhapetv± ayok³µena paharantassa picupiº¹a½ atikkamitv± k³µa½ adhikaraºi½ gaºh±ti, nigha½so balav± hoti, eva½ paµighaµµan±nigha½sassa balavabh±vato iµµhe, iµµhamajjhatte ca ±rammaºe k±yaviññ±ºa½ sukhasahagata½ hoti. Aniµµhe, aniµµhamajjhatte ca dukkhasahagatanti ±ha “kusala…pe… dukkhan”ti. K±m±vacaravip±kaviññ±º±ni pañca kamm±rammaºavasena somanassasahagat±ni honti, r³p±vacaravip±k±ni catt±ri kammavasena, ses±ni terasa k±m±vacar±ni, aµµha r³p±vacar±ni, dvatti½sa lokuttar±ni, yath±raha½ cetobhisaªkh±r±rammaºap±dak±divasena somanassasahagat±ni hont²ti ±ha “somanassa½ dv±saµµhiy± viññ±ºehi sampayuttan”ti. Domanassa½ dv²hi akusalaviññ±ºehi sampayutta½ cetobhisaªkh±r±rammaº±divasena.
Avasesapañcapaññ±s±y±ti yath±vutt±ni chasaµµhi viññ±º±ni µhapetv± avases±ya pañcapaññ±s±ya. Tattha kusal±kusalavip±k±ni iµµh±niµµhesu nibbikappak±ni sukhadukkhasampayutt±ni bhavitu½ yutt±nipi dvinna½ picupiº¹±na½ viya dvinna½ dvinna½ up±d±r³p±na½ ghaµµan±nigha½sassa mandabh±vato cakkh±disannissit±ni aµµhapi viññ±º±ni sabbattha upekkh±sampayutt±neva honti, tath± balavapaccayat±ya sukhadukkh±na½ tesañca tadabh±vato. Apubb±rammaºanissayappavatt²ni ±vajjanasampaµicchanaviññ±º±ni, asadis±nantarappaccaya½ kiriy±rambhassa ±dibh³ta½ voµµhabbana½, k±yadukkhapadh±nat±ya akusalaphalassa tadupanissayabh³ta½ akusalavip±kapaµisandhi-±di, iµµhamajjhatt±rammaºappavatt²ni k±m±vacarakusalavip±kaviññ±º±ni ca upekkh±sahagat±niyeva honti. Kammavasena v± vip±k±nubhavanassa iµµh±niµµh±rammaºesu adukkhamasukhabh±vo yutto. Sati ca vip±kabh³t±ya upekkh±ya sukhadukkhamajjhattabh±ve kamm±rammaºavasena kusalavip±k±ya iµµhabh±vo, akusalavip±k±ya aniµµhabh±vo ca veditabbo. Avasiµµh±ni pana sattati½sa viññ±º±ni cetobhisaªkh±r±rammaºap±dak±divasena upekkh±sampayutt±ni hont²ti eva½ pañcapaññ±s±ya viññ±ºehi upekkh±ya sampayuttat± veditabb±.
Salakkhaºa½ n±ma dhamm±na½ anaññas±dh±raºo sabh±vo, anubhavanañca sabbavedan±na½ s±dh±raºalakkhaºanti ta½ paµiniyatena ±rammaºena niyametv± dassento ±ha “iµµhaphoµµhabb±nubhavanalakkhaºa½ sukhan”ti tassa byabhic±r±bh±vato. Bhusa½ br³hana½ va¹¹hana½ upabr³hana½. Tayida½ k±mañca cetasikasukhepi labbhati, ta½ pana savikappaka½ cetobhisaªkh±ravasen±pi hoti. Idantu nibbikappaka½ sabh±vasiddhatt± tato s±tisayanti ±ha “sampayutt±na½ upabr³hanarasan”ti. Ass±diyat²ti ass±do, sukh±vedan±. Ten±ha bhagav± “ya½, bhikkhave, pañcup±d±nakkhandhe paµicca uppajjati sukha½ somanassa½, aya½ vuccati, bhikkhave, pañcup±d±nakkhandhesu ass±do”ti (sa½. ni. 3.26). K±yanissitatt± k±ye bhavo k±yiko, so eva ass±do tath± paccupatiµµhat²ti k±yika-ass±dapaccupaµµh±na½. K±yindriyapadaµµh±na½ anaññavatthukatt±.
Dukkhassa lakkhaº±d²ni vuttanay±nus±rena veditabb±ni.
Sabh±vato parikappato v± iµµhassa ±rammaºassa anubhavanalakkhaºa½ iµµh±rammaº±nubhavanalakkhaºa½. Ten±ha “yath± tath± v± iµµh±k±rasambhogarasan”ti, yath±bh³tena v± ayath±bh³tena v± iµµh±k±rena ±rammaºassa sa½bhuñjanarasa½, paccanubhavanakiccanti attho. “Passaddhipadaµµh±nan”ti ida½ “passaddhak±yo sukha½ vedet²”ti (sa½. ni. 5.376; a. ni. 11.12) suttapada½ niss±ya vutta½, ta½ pana nir±misasomanassavasena veditabba½.
Somanasse vuttavipariy±yena domanassassa lakkhaº±d²ni veditabb±ni. Domanassassa k±madh±tuya½ uppajjanato ekantena hadayavatthupadaµµh±nat± tato viseso.
Majjhattassa, ±rammaºassa majjhatta½ v± vedayita½ anubhavana½ lakkhaºa½ etiss±ti majjhattavedayitalakkhaº±. Majjhatt±nubhavanato eva sampayutt±na½ n±ti-upabr³hanamil±panaras±. “Santabh±vapaccupaµµh±n±”ti ida½ anavajj±ya nir±mis±ya upekkh±ya vasena veditabba½, na sabb±ya.
