848. Tath± pah±namp²ti pah±nampi hi vikkhambhanappah±na½ tadaªgappah±na½ samucchedappah±nanti pariññ± viya tividhameva hoti. Tattha ya½ sasev±le udake pakkhittena ghaµena sev±lassa viya tena tena lokiyasam±dhin± n²varaº±d²na½ paccan²kadhamm±na½ vikkhambhana½, ida½ vikkhambhanappah±na½ n±ma. P±¼iya½ pana “vikkhambhanappah±nañca n²varaº±na½ paµhama½ jh±na½ bh±vayato”ti (paµi. ma. 1.24) n²varaº±naññeva vikkhambhana½ vutta½, ta½ p±kaµatt± vuttanti veditabba½. 849. Ya½ pana rattibh±ge samujjalitena pad²pena andhak±rassa viya tena tena vipassan±ya avayavabh³tena ñ±ºaªgena paµipakkhavaseneva tassa tassa pah±tabbadhammassa pah±na½, ida½ tadaªgappah±na½ n±ma. Seyyathida½– n±mar³paparicchedena t±va sakk±yadiµµhiy±. Paccayapariggahena ahetuvisamahetudiµµhiy± ceva kaªkh±malassa ca. Kal±pasammasanena “aha½ mam±”ti sam³hag±hassa. Khay±nupassan±ti pana ghanavinibbhoga½ katv± anicca½ khayaµµhen±ti eva½ khaya½ passato ñ±ºa½. Tena ghanasaññ±ya pah±na½ hoti.
Vay±nupassan±ti–
¾rammaº±nvayena, ubho ekavavatth±n±;
nirodhe adhimuttat±, vayalakkhaºavipassan±ti.–

Eva½ vutt± paccakkhato ceva anvayato ca saªkh±r±na½ bhaªga½ disv± tasmiññeva bhaªgasaªkh±te nirodhe adhimuttat±, t±ya ±y³hanassa pah±na½ hoti. Yesa½ hi atth±ya ±y³heyya, “te eva½ vayadhamm±”ti vipassato ±y³hane citta½ na namati.

Vipariº±m±nupassan±ti r³pasattak±divasena ta½ ta½ pariccheda½ atikkamma aññath±pavattidassana½. Uppannassa v± jar±ya ceva maraºena ca dv²h±k±rehi vipariº±madassana½, t±ya dhuvasaññ±ya pah±na½ hoti.
Animitt±nupassan±ti anicc±nupassan±va, t±ya niccanimittassa pah±na½ hoti.
Appaºihit±nupassan±ti dukkh±nupassan±va, t±ya sukhapaºidhisukhapatthan±pah±na½ hoti.
Suññat±nupassan±ti anatt±nupassan±va, t±ya “atthi att±”ti abhinivesassa pah±na½ hoti.
Adhipaññ±dhammavipassan±ti
“¾rammaºañca paµisaªkh±, bhaªgañca anupassati;
suññato ca upaµµh±na½, adhipaññ± vipassan±”ti.–

Yath±bh³tañ±ºadassananti sappaccayan±mar³papariggaho, tena “ahosi½ nu kho aha½ at²tamaddh±nan”ti-±divasena ceva, “issarato loko sambhot²”ti-±divasena ca pavattassa sammoh±bhinivesassa pah±na½ hoti.
¾d²nav±nupassan±ti bhayatupaµµh±navasena uppanna½ sabbabhav±d²su ±d²navadassanañ±ºa½, tena “kiñci all²yitabba½ na dissat²”ti ±lay±bhinivesassa pah±na½ hoti.

Vivaµµ±nupassan±ti saªkh±rupekkh± ceva anulomañca. Tad± hissa citta½ ²sakapoºe padumapal±se udakabindu viya sabbasm± saªkh±ragat± patil²yati, patikuµati, pativattat²ti vutta½. Tasm± t±ya sa½yog±bhinivesassa pah±na½ hoti, k±masa½yog±dikassa kiles±bhinivesassa kilesappavattiy± pah±na½ hot²ti attho. Eva½ vitth±rato tadaªgappah±na½ veditabba½. P±¼iya½ pana “tadaªgappah±nañca diµµhigat±na½ nibbedhabh±giya½ sam±dhi½ bh±vayato”ti (paµi. ma. 1.24) saªkhepeneva vutta½.
851. Ya½ pana asanivicakk±bhihatassa rukkhassa viya ariyamaggañ±ºena sa½yojan±d²na½ dhamm±na½ yath± na puna pavatti, eva½ pah±na½, ida½ samucchedappah±na½ n±ma. Ya½ sandh±ya vutta½ “samucchedappah±nañca lokuttara½ khayag±mimagga½ bh±vayato”ti (paµi. ma. 1.24) Iti imesu t²su pah±nesu samucchedappah±nameva idha adhippeta½. Yasm± pana tassa yogino pubbabh±ge vikkhambhanatadaªgappah±n±nipi tadatth±neva, tasm± pah±nattayampi imin± pariy±yena maggañ±ºassa kiccanti veditabba½. Paµir±j±na½ vadhitv± rajja½ pattena hi yampi tato pubbe kata½, sabba½ “idañcidañca raññ± katan”tiyeva vuccati.
852. Sacchikiriy±p²ti lokiyasacchikiriy± lokuttarasacchikiriy±ti dvedh± bhinn±pi lokuttar±ya dassanabh±van±vasena bhedato tividh± hoti. Tattha “paµhamassa jh±nassa l±bh²mhi, vas²mhi, paµhamajjh±na½ sacchikata½ may±”ti-±din± (p±r±. 203-204) nayena ±gat± paµhamajjh±n±d²na½ phassan± lokiyasacchikiriy± n±ma. Phassan±ti adhigantv± “ida½ may± adhigatan”ti paccakkhato ñ±ºaphassena phusan±. Imameva hi attha½ sandh±ya “sacchikiriy± paññ± phassanaµµhe ñ±ºan”ti (paµi. ma. m±tik± 1.24) uddisitv± “ye ye dhamm± sacchikat± honti, te te dhamm± phassit± hont²”ti (paµi. ma. 1.75) sacchikiriyaniddeso vutto.
Apica attano sant±ne anupp±detv±pi ye dhamm± kevala½ aparappaccayena ñ±ºena ñ±t±, te sacchikat± honti. Teneva hi “sabba½, bhikkhave, sacchik±tabba½. Kiñca, bhikkhave, sabba½ sacchik±tabba½? Cakkhu, bhikkhave, sacchik±tabban”ti-±di (paµi. ma. 1.29) vutta½.
Aparampi vutta½ “r³pa½ passanto sacchikaroti. Vedana½…pe… viññ±ºa½ passanto sacchikaroti. Cakkhu½…pe… jar±maraºa½…pe… amatogadha½ nibb±na½ passanto sacchikarot²ti. Ye ye dhamm± sacchikat± honti, te te dhamm± phassit± hont²”ti (paµi. ma. 1.29).

Lokuttar±na½ upp±dana½, t±hi ca sant±nav±sana½ lokuttarabh±van±. T±su idha lokuttar± adhippet±. Lokuttar±ni hi s²l±d²ni catubbidhampeta½ ñ±ºa½ upp±deti.
