Katha½? Ayañhi n±ha½ kvacan²ti kvaci att±na½ na passati. Kassaci kiñcanatasminti attano att±na½ kassaci parassa kiñcanabh±ve upanetabba½ na passati. Bh±tiµµh±nev± bh±tara½, sah±yaµµh±ne v± sah±ya½, parikkh±raµµh±ne v± parikkh±ra½ maññitv± upanetabba½ na passat²ti attho. Na ca mama kvacan²ti ettha mama-sadda½ t±va µhapetv± na ca kvacan²ti parassa ca att±na½ kvaci napassat²ti ayamattho. Yath± n±ma purisassa bhariy± bhaveyya iµµh± kant± man±p±, so t±ya vin± muhuttampi adhiv±setu½ na sakkuºeyya, ativiya na½ mam±yeyya, so ta½ itthi½ aññena purisena saddhi½ µhita½ v± nisinna½ v± kathenti½ v± hasanti½ v± disv± kupito assa anattamano, adhimatta½ domanassa½ paµisa½vedeyya. So aparena samayena tass± itthiy± dosa½ disv± muñcituk±mo hutv± ta½ vissajjeyya, na na½ mam±ti gaºheyya. Tato paµµh±ya ta½ yenakenaci saddhi½ ya½kiñci kurum±na½ disv±pi neva kuppeyya, na domanassa½ ±pajjeyya, aññadatthu ud±s²nova bhaveyya majjhatto. Evamev±ya½ sabbasaªkh±rehi muñcituk±mo hutv± paµisaªkh±nupassan±ya saªkh±re pariggaºhanto aha½ mam±ti gahetabba½ adisv± bhayañca nandiñca vippah±ya sabbasaªkh±resu ud±s²no hoti majjhatto.

Seyyath±pi n±ma padumapal±se ²sakapoºe udakaphusit±ni patil²yanti patikuµanti pativattanti na sampas±riyanti, evameva…pe… seyyath±pi n±ma kukkuµapatta½ v± nah±rudaddula½ v± aggimhi pakkhitta½ patil²yati patikuµati pativattati na sampas±riyati (a. ni. 7.49), evameva tassa t²su bhavesu citta½…pe… upekkh± v± p±µikulyat± v± saºµh±ti. Iccassa saªkh±rupekkh±ñ±ºa½ n±ma uppanna½ hoti.
767. Ta½ paneta½ sace santipada½ nibb±na½ santato passati, sabba½ saªkh±rappavatta½ vissajjetv± nibb±nameva pakkhandati. No ce nibb±na½ santato passati, punappuna½ saªkh±r±rammaºameva hutv± pavattati s±muddik±na½ dis±k±ko viya. S±muddik± kira v±ºijak± n±va½ ±rohant± dis±k±ka½ n±ma gaºhanti, te yad± n±v± v±takkhitt± videsa½ pakkhandati, t²ra½ na paññ±yati, tad± dis±k±ka½ vissajjenti. So k³pakayaµµhito ±k±sa½ laªghitv± sabb± dis± ca vidis± ca anugantv± sace t²ra½ passati, tadabhimukhova gacchati. No ce passati, punappuna½ ±gantv± k³pakayaµµhi½yeva all²yati. Evameva sace saªkh±rupekkh±ñ±ºa½ santipada½ nibb±na½ santato passati, sabba½ saªkh±rappavatta½ vissajjetv± nibb±nameva pakkhandati. No ce passati, punappuna½ saªkh±r±rammaºameva hutv± pavattati.
Tadida½ suppagge piµµha½ vaµµayam±na½ viya. Nibbaµµitakapp±sa½ vihanam±na½ viya n±nappak±rato saªkh±re pariggahetv± bhayañca nandiñca pah±ya saªkh±ravicinane majjhatta½ hutv± tividh±nupassan±vasena tiµµhati. 768. Tatrida½ tividh±nupassan±vasena pavattanato tiººa½ indriy±na½ ±dhipateyyavasena tividhavimokkhamukhabh±va½ ±pajjati n±ma. Tisso hi anupassan± t²ºi vimokkhamukh±n²ti vuccanti. Yath±ha–

Tattha paricchedaparivaµumatoti udayabbayavasena paricchedato ceva parivaµumato ca. Anicc±nupassana½ hi “udayato pubbe saªkh±r± natth²”ti paricchinditv± tesa½ gati½ samannesam±na½ “vayato para½ na gacchanti, ettheva antaradh±yant²”ti parivaµumato samanupassati. Manosamuttejanat±y±ti cittasa½vejanat±ya Dukkh±nupassanena hi saªkh±resu citta½ sa½vejeti. Parato samanupassanat±y±ti “n±ha½, na mam±”ti eva½ anattato samanupassanat±ya. Iti im±ni t²ºi pad±ni anicc±nupassan±d²na½ vasena vutt±n²ti veditabb±ni. Teneva tadanantare pañhavissajjane vutta½– “aniccato manasikaroto khayato saªkh±r± upaµµhahanti. Dukkhato manasikaroto bhayato saªkh±r± upaµµhahanti. Anattato manasikaroto suññato saªkh±r± upaµµhahant²”ti (paµi. ma. 1.219).
769. Katame pana te vimokkh±, yesa½ im±ni anupassan±ni mukh±n²ti? Animitto, appaºihito, suññatoti ete tayo. Vutta½ heta½ “aniccato manasikaronto adhimokkhabahulo animitta½ vimokkha½ paµilabhati. Dukkhato manasikaronto passaddhibahulo appaºihita½ vimokkha½ paµilabhati. Anattato manasikaronto vedabahulo suññatavimokkha½ paµilabhat²”ti (paµi. ma. 1.223).
Ettha ca animitto vimokkhoti animitt±k±rena nibb±na½ ±rammaºa½ katv± pavatto ariyamaggo. So hi animitt±ya dh±tuy± uppannatt± animitto. Kilesehi ca vimuttatt± vimokkho. Eteneva nayena appaºihit±k±rena nibb±na½ ±rammaºa½ katv± pavatto appaºihito. Suññat±k±rena nibb±na½ ±rammaºa½ katv± pavatto suññatoti veditabbo.

Ya½ pana abhidhamme “yasmi½ samaye lokuttara½ jh±na½ bh±veti niyy±nika½ apacayag±mi½ diµµhigat±na½ pah±n±ya paµham±ya bh³miy± pattiy± vivicceva k±mehi paµhama½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharati appaºihita½ suññatan”ti (dha. sa. 343 ±dayo) eva½ vimokkhadvayameva vutta½, ta½ nippariy±yato vipassan±gamana½ sandh±ya.
