Tattha s²lavisuddhi n±ma suparisuddha½ p±timokkhasa½var±dicatubbidha½ s²la½, tańca s²laniddese vitth±ritameva. Cittavisuddhi n±ma sa-upac±r± aµµha sam±pattiyo, t±pi cittas²sena vuttasam±dhiniddese sabb±k±rena vitth±rit± eva. Tasm± t± tattha vitth±ritanayeneva veditabb±.
Ya½ pana vutta½ “diµµhivisuddhi, kaŖkh±vitaraŗavisuddhi, magg±maggań±ŗadassanavisuddhi, paµipad±ń±ŗadassanavisuddhi, ń±ŗadassanavisuddh²ti im± pana pańca visuddhiyo sar²ran”ti, tattha n±mar³p±na½ y±th±vadassana½ diµµhivisuddhi n±ma.

Ta½ samp±detuk±mena samathay±nikena t±va µhapetv± nevasańń±n±sańń±yatana½ avasesar³p±r³p±vacarajjh±n±na½ ańńatarato vuµµh±ya vitakk±d²ni jh±naŖg±ni, ta½sampayutt± ca dhamm± lakkhaŗaras±divasena pariggahetabb±. Pariggahetv± sabbampeta½ ±rammaŗ±bhimukha½ namanato namanaµµhena n±manti vavatthapetabba½.
Tato yath± n±ma puriso antogehe sappa½ disv± ta½ anubandham±no tassa ±saya½ passati, evameva ayampi yog±vacaro ta½ n±ma½ upaparikkhanto “ida½ n±ma½ ki½ niss±ya pavattat²”ti pariyesam±no tassa nissaya½ hadayar³pa½ passati. Tato hadayar³passa nissayabh³t±ni, bh³tanissit±ni ca sesup±d±yar³p±n²ti r³pa½ pariggaŗh±ti. So sabbampeta½ ruppanato r³panti vavatthapeti. Tato namanalakkhaŗa½ n±ma½, ruppanalakkhaŗa½ r³panti saŖkhepato n±mar³pa½ vavatthapeti.
664. Suddhavipassan±y±niko pana ayameva v± samathay±niko catudh±tuvavatth±ne vutt±na½ tesa½ tesa½ dh±tupariggahamukh±na½ ańńataramukhavasena saŖkhepato v± vitth±rato v± catasso dh±tuyo pariggaŗh±ti. Tattha asit±diparip±cake t±va kammaje tejokoµµh±samhi ojaµµhamakańceva j²vitańc±ti nava r³p±ni, tath± cittaje ass±sapass±sakoµµh±sepi ojaµµhamakańceva saddo c±ti nava, sesesu catusamuµµh±nesu aµµhasu j²vitanavakańceva t²ŗi ca ojaµµhamak±n²ti tetti½sa r³p±ni p±kaµ±ni honti.
Tasseva½ vitth±rato dv±catt±l²s±k±ravasena imesu bh³tup±d±yar³pesu p±kaµesu j±tesu vatthudv±ravasena pańca cakkhudasak±dayo, hadayavatthudasakańc±ti apar±nipi saµµhir³p±ni p±kaµ±ni honti. So sabb±nipi t±ni ruppanalakkhaŗena ekato katv± “eta½ r³pan”ti passati.

Lokuttaracitt±ni pana neva suddhavipassakassa na samathay±nikassa pariggaha½ gacchanti anadhigatatt±ti. So sabbepi te ar³padhamme namanalakkhaŗena ekato katv± “eta½ n±man”ti passati. Evameko catudh±tuvavatth±namukhena vitth±rato n±mar³pa½ vavatthapeti.
665. Aparo aµµh±rasadh±tuvasena. Katha½? Idha bhikkhu atthi imasmi½ attabh±ve cakkhudh±tu…pe… manovińń±ŗadh±t³ti dh±tuyo ±vajjitv± ya½ loko setakaŗhamaŗ¹alavicitta½ ±yatavitthata½ akkhik³pake nh±rusuttakena ±baddha½ ma½sapiŗ¹a½ “cakkh³”ti sańj±n±ti, ta½ aggahetv± khandhaniddese up±d±r³pesu vuttappak±ra½ cakkhupas±da½ “cakkhudh±t³”ti vavatthapeti.
Y±ni panassa nissayabh³t± catasso dh±tuyo, pariv±rak±ni catt±ri vaŗŗa-gandha-rasa-oj±-r³p±ni, anup±laka½ j²vitindriyanti nava sahaj±tar³p±ni, tattheva µhit±ni k±yadasakabh±vadasakavasena v²sati kammajar³p±ni, ±h±rasamuµµh±n±d²na½ tiŗŗa½ ojaµµhamak±na½ vasena catuv²sati anup±dinnar³p±n²ti eva½ ses±ni tepaŗŗ±sa r³p±ni honti, na t±ni ca “cakkhudh±t³”ti vavatthapeti. Esa nayo sotadh±tu-±d²supi. K±yadh±tuya½ pana avases±ni tecatt±l²sa r³p±ni honti. Keci pana utucittasamuµµh±n±ni saddena saha nava nava katv± pańcacatt±l²s±ti vadanti.
Iti ime pańca pas±d±, tesańca visay± r³pasaddagandharasaphoµµhabb± pańc±ti dasa r³p±ni dasa dh±tuyo honti. Avasesar³p±ni dhammadh±tuyeva honti. Cakkhu½ pana niss±ya r³pa½ ±rabbha pavatta½ citta½ cakkhuvińń±ŗadh±tu n±m±ti eva½ dvepańcavińń±ŗ±ni pańca vińń±ŗadh±tuyo honti. T²ŗi manodh±tucitt±ni ek± manodh±tu, aµµhasaµµhi manovińń±ŗadh±tucitt±ni manovińń±ŗadh±t³ti sabb±nipi ek±s²ti lokiyacitt±ni satta vińń±ŗadh±tuyo. Ta½sampayutt± phass±dayo dhammadh±t³ti evamettha a¹¹hek±dasa dh±tuyo r³pa½, a¹¹haµµham± dh±tuyo n±manti evameko aµµh±rasadh±tuvasena n±mar³pa½ vavatthapeti.
666. Aparo dv±das±yatanavasena. Katha½? Cakkhudh±tuya½ vuttanayeneva µhapetv± tepaŗŗ±sa r³p±ni cakkhupas±damatta½ “cakkh±yatanan”ti vavatthapeti. Tattha vuttanayeneva ca sotagh±najivh±k±yadh±tuyo “sotagh±najivh±k±y±yatan±n²”ti, tesa½ visayabh³te pańcadhamme “r³pasaddagandharasaphoµµhabb±yatan±n²”ti lokiyasattavińń±ŗadh±tuyo “man±yatanan”ti, ta½sampayutt± phass±dayo sesar³pańca “dhamm±yatanan”ti evamettha a¹¹hek±dasa ±yatan±ni r³pa½, diya¹¹ha-±yatan±ni n±manti evameko dv±das±yatanavasena n±mar³pa½ vavatthapeti.
667. Aparo tato sa½khittatara½ khandhavasena vavatthapeti. Katha½? Idha bhikkhu imasmi½ sar²re catusamuµµh±n± catasso dh±tuyo, ta½nissito vaŗŗo, gandho, raso, oj±, cakkhupas±d±dayo pańca pas±d±, vatthur³pa½, bh±vo, j²vitindriya½, dvisamuµµh±no saddoti im±ni sattarasa r³p±ni sammasanupag±ni nipphann±ni r³par³p±ni. K±yavińńatti, vac²vińńatti, ±k±sadh±tu, r³passa lahut±, mudut±, kammańńat±, upacayo, santati, jarat±, aniccat±ti im±ni pana dasa r³p±ni na sammasanupag±ni, ±k±ravik±ra-antaraparicchedamattak±ni, na nipphannar³p±ni, na r³par³p±ni. Apica kho r³p±na½ ±k±ravik±ra-antaraparicchedamattato r³panti saŖkha½ gat±ni. Iti sabb±ni pet±ni sattav²sati r³p±ni r³pakkhandho, ek±s²tiy± lokiyacittehi saddhi½ uppann± vedan± vedan±kkhandho, ta½sampayutt± sańń± sańń±kkhandho, saŖkh±r± saŖkh±rakkhandho, vińń±ŗa½ vińń±ŗakkhandhoti. Sace panassa tena tena mukhena r³pa½ pariggahetv± ar³pa½ pariggaŗhato sukhumatt± ar³pa½ na upaµµh±ti, tena dhuranikkhepa½ akatv± r³pameva punappuna½ sammasitabba½ manasik±tabba½ pariggahetabba½ vavatthapetabba½. Yath± yath± hissa r³pa½ suvikkh±lita½ hoti nijjaµa½ suparisuddha½, tath± tath± tad±rammaŗ± ar³padhamm± sayameva p±kaµ± honti.
Yath± hi cakkhumato purisassa aparisuddhe ±d±se mukhanimitta½ olokentassa nimitta½ na pańń±yati, so “nimitta½ na pańń±yat²”ti na ±d±sa½ cha¹¹eti, atha kho na½ punappuna½ parimajjati Tassa parisuddhe ±d±se nimitta½ sayameva p±kaµa½ hoti. Yath± ca telatthiko tilapiµµha½ doŗiya½ ±kiritv± udakena paripphosetv± ekav±ra½ dvev±ra½ p²¼anamattena tele anikkhamante na tilapiµµha½ cha¹¹eti, atha kho na½ punappuna½ uŗhodakena paripphosetv± madditv± p²¼eti. Tasseva½ karoto vippasanna½ tilatela½ nikkhamati. Yath± v± pana udaka½ pas±detuk±mo katakaµµhi½ gahetv± antoghaµe hattha½ ot±retv± ekadvev±re gha½sanamattena udake avippas²dante na katakaµµhi½ cha¹¹eti, atha kho na½ punappuna½ gha½sati. Tasseva½ karontassa kalalakaddama½ sannis²dati. Udaka½ accha½ hoti vippasanna½, evameva½ tena bhikkhun± dhuranikkhepa½ akatv± r³pameva punappuna½ sammasitabba½ manasik±tabba½ pariggahetabba½ vavatthapetabba½.
