So iti paµisaªkh±ya r³p±na½yeva nibbid±ya vir±g±ya nirodh±ya paµipanno hot²”ti (ma. ni. 2.103) vacanato etesa½ daº¹±d±n±d²nañceva cakkhusotarog±d²nañca ±b±dhasahass±na½ vasena karajar³pe ±d²nava½ disv± tassa samatikkam±ya µhapetv± paricchinn±k±sakasiºa½ navasu pathav²kasiº±d²su aññatarasmi½ catutthajjh±na½ upp±deti.
Tassa kiñc±pi r³p±vacaracatutthajjh±navasena karajar³pa½ atikkanta½ hoti, atha kho kasiºar³pampi yasm± tappaµibh±gameva, tasm± tampi samatikkamituk±mo hoti. Katha½? Yath± ahibh²ruko puriso araññe sappena anubaddho vegena pal±yitv± pal±taµµh±ne lekh±citta½ t±lapaººa½ v± valli½ v± rajju½ v± phalit±ya v± pana pathaviy± phalitantara½ disv± bh±yateva uttasateva, neva na½ dakkhituk±mo hoti. Aªgo¼±rikat± panettha natthi. Yatheva heta½ r³pa½ duvaªgika½, eva½ ±rupp±nip²ti.
So tattha eva½ ±d²nava½ disv± nikanti½ pariy±d±ya ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ santato anantato manasikaritv± cakkav±¼apariyanta½ v± yattaka½ icchati tattaka½ v± kasiºa½ pattharitv± tena phuµµhok±sa½ “±k±so ±k±so”ti v±, “ananto ±k±so”ti v± manasikaronto uggh±µeti kasiºa½. Uggh±µento hi neva kilañja½ viya sa½velleti, na kap±lato p³va½ viya uddharati, kevala½ pana ta½ neva ±vajjeti, na manasi karoti, na paccavekkhati, an±vajjento amanasikaronto apaccavekkhanto ca aññadatthu tena phuµµhok±sa½ “±k±so ±k±so”ti manasikaronto kasiºa½ uggh±µeti n±ma. Kasiºampi uggh±µiyam±na½ neva ubbaµµati na vivaµµati, kevala½ imassa amanasik±rañca “±k±so ±k±so”ti manasik±rañca paµicca uggh±µita½ n±ma hoti, kasiºuggh±µim±k±samatta½ paññ±yati. Kasiºuggh±µim±k±santi v± kasiºaphuµµhok±soti v± kasiºavivitt±k±santi v± sabbameta½ ekameva.
So ta½ kasiºuggh±µim±k±sanimitta½ “±k±so ±k±so”ti punappuna½ ±vajjeti, takk±hata½ vitakk±hata½ karoti. Tasseva½ punappuna½ ±vajjayato takk±hata½ vitakk±hata½ karoto n²varaº±ni vikkhambhanti, sati santiµµhati, upac±rena citta½ sam±dhiyati. So ta½ nimitta½ punappuna½ ±sevati, bh±veti, bahul²karoti. Tasseva½ punappuna½ ±vajjayato manasikaroto pathav²kasiº±d²su r³p±vacaracitta½ viya ±k±se ±k±s±nañc±yatanacitta½ appeti. Idh±pi hi purimabh±ge t²ºi catt±ri v± javan±ni k±m±vacar±ni upekkh±vedan±sampayutt±neva honti. Catuttha½ pañcama½ v± ar³p±vacara½. Sesa½ pathav²kasiºe vuttanayameva.
Aya½ pana viseso, eva½ uppanne ar³p±vacaracitte so bhikkhu yath± n±ma y±napputo¼i kumbhimukh±d²na½ aññatara½ n²lapilotik±ya v± p²talohitod±t±d²na½ v± aññatar±ya pilotik±ya bandhitv± pekkham±no puriso v±tavegena v± aññena v± kenaci apan²t±ya pilotik±ya ±k±sa½yeva pekkham±no tiµµheyya, evameva pubbe kasiºamaº¹ala½ jh±nacakkhun± pekkham±no viharitv± “±k±so ±k±so”ti imin± parikammamanasik±rena sahas± apan²te tasmi½ nimitte ±k±saññeva pekkham±no viharati. Ett±vat± cesa “sabbaso r³pasaññ±na½ samatikkam± paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam± n±nattasaññ±na½ amanasik±r± ‘ananto ±k±so’ti ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ upasampajja viharat²”ti vuccati (vibha. 508; d². ni. 2.129).
277. Tattha sabbasoti sabb±k±rena, sabb±sa½ v± anavases±nanti attho. R³pasaññ±nanti saññ±s²sena vuttar³p±vacarajjh±n±nañceva tad±rammaº±nañca. R³p±vacarajjh±nampi hi r³panti vuccati “r³p² r³p±ni passat²”ti-±d²su (d². ni. 2.129), tassa ±rammaºampi “bahiddh± r³p±ni passati suvaººadubbaºº±n²”ti-±d²su (d². ni. 2.173), tasm± idha r³pe saññ± r³pasaññ±ti eva½ saññ±s²sena vuttar³p±vacarajjh±nasseta½ adhivacana½. R³pa½ saññ± ass±ti r³pasañña½. R³pa½ assa n±manti vutta½ hoti. Pathav²kasiº±dibhedassa tad±rammaºassa ceta½ adhivacananti veditabba½. Samatikkam±ti vir±g± nirodh± ca. Ki½ vutta½ hoti? Et±sa½ kusalavip±kakiriyavasena pañcadasanna½ jh±nasaªkh±t±na½ r³pasaññ±na½, etesañca pathav²kasiº±divasena navanna½ ±rammaºasaªkh±t±na½ r³pasaññ±na½ sabb±k±rena anavases±na½ v± vir±g± ca nirodh± ca vir±gahetuñceva nirodhahetuñca ±k±s±nañc±yatana½ upasampajja viharati. Na hi sakk± sabbaso anatikkantar³pasaññena eta½ upasampajja viharitunti.
Tattha yasm± ±rammaºe avirattassa saññ±samatikkamo na hoti, samatikkant±su ca saññ±su ±rammaºa½ samatikkantameva hoti. Tasm± ±rammaºasamatikkama½ avatv± “tattha katam± r³pasaññ± R³p±vacarasam±patti½ sam±pannassa v± upapannassa v± diµµhadhammasukhavih±rissa v± saññ± sañj±nan± sañj±nitatta½ im± vuccanti r³pasaññ±yo. Im± r³pasaññ±yo atikkanto hoti v²tikkanto samatikkanto. Tena vuccati sabbaso r³pasaññ±na½ samatikkam±”ti (vibha. 602) eva½ vibhaªge saññ±na½yeva samatikkamo vutto. Yasm± pana ±rammaºasamatikkamena pattabb± et± sam±pattiyo, na ekasmiññeva ±rammaºe paµhamajjh±n±d²ni viya. Tasm± aya½ ±rammaºasamatikkamavasen±pi atthavaººan± kat±ti veditabb±.
278. Paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam±ti cakkh±d²na½ vatth³na½ r³p±d²na½ ±rammaº±nañca paµigh±tena samuppann± saññ± paµighasaññ±. R³pasaññ±d²na½ etamadhivacana½. Yath±ha– “tattha katam± paµighasaññ±? R³pasaññ± saddasaññ± gandhasaññ± rasasaññ± phoµµhabbasaññ±, im± vuccanti paµighasaññ±yo”ti (vibha. 603). T±sa½ kusalavip±k±na½ pañcanna½, akusalavip±k±na½ pañcannanti sabbaso dasannampi paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam± pah±n± asamupp±d± appavatti½ katv±ti vutta½ hoti.
K±mañcet± paµhamajjh±n±d²ni sam±pannass±pi na santi. Na hi tasmi½ samaye pañcadv±ravasena citta½ pavattati. Eva½ santepi aññattha pah²n±na½ sukhadukkh±na½ catutthajjh±ne viya, sakk±yadiµµh±d²na½ tatiyamagge viya ca imasmi½ jh±ne uss±hajananattha½ imassa jh±nassa pasa½s±vasena et±samettha vacana½ veditabba½.
Atha v± kiñc±pi t± r³p±vacara½ sam±pannass±pi na santi, atha kho na pah²natt± na santi. Na hi r³pavir±g±ya r³p±vacarabh±van± sa½vattati, r³p±yatt± ca et±sa½ pavatti. Aya½ pana bh±van± r³pavir±g±ya sa½vattati. Tasm± t± ettha pah²n±ti vattu½ vaµµati. Na kevalañca vattu½, eka½seneva eva½ dh±retumpi vaµµati. T±sañhi ito pubbe appah²natt±yeva paµhama½ jh±na½ sam±pannassa saddo “kaºµako”ti (a. ni. 10.72) vutto bhagavat±. Idha ca pah²natt±yeva ar³pasam±patt²na½ ±neñjat± (vibha. 226) santavimokkhat± (ma. ni. 1.66) ca vutt±. ¾¼±ro ca k±l±mo ar³pasam±panno pañcamatt±ni sakaµasat±ni niss±ya niss±ya atikkamant±ni neva addasa, na pana sadda½ assos²ti (d². ni. 2.192).
279. N±nattasaññ±na½ amanasik±r±ti n±natte v± gocare pavatt±na½ saññ±na½, n±natt±na½ v± saññ±na½. Yasm± hi et± “tattha katam± n±nattasaññ±? Pageva tasmi½ bhave ima½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharaºak±le, tasm± t±sa½ samatikkam± atthaªgam±ti dvedh±pi abh±voyeva vutto. N±nattasaññ±su pana yasm± aµµha k±m±vacarakusalasaññ±, nava kiriyasaññ±, das±kusalasaññ±ti im± sattav²satisaññ± imin± jh±nena nibbatte bhave vijjanti, tasm± t±sa½ amanasik±r±ti vuttanti veditabba½. Tatr±pi hi ima½ jh±na½ upasampajja viharanto t±sa½ amanasik±r±yeva upasampajja viharati, t± pana manasikaronto asam±panno hot²ti.
Saªkhepato cettha r³pasaññ±na½ samatikkam±ti imin± sabbar³p±vacaradhamm±na½ pah±na½ vutta½. Paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam± n±nattasaññ±na½ amanasik±r±ti imin± sabbesa½ k±m±vacaracittacetasik±na½ pah±nañca amanasik±ro ca vuttoti veditabbo.
280. Ananto ±k±soti ettha n±ssa upp±danto v± vayanto v± paññ±yat²ti ananto. ¾k±soti kasiºuggh±µim±k±so vuccati. Manasik±ravasen±pi cettha anantat± veditabb±. Teneva vibhaªge vutta½ “tasmi½ ±k±se citta½ µhapeti, saºµhapeti, ananta½ pharati, tena vuccati ananto ±k±so”ti (vibha. 605).
¾k±s±nañc±yatana½ upasampajja viharat²ti ettha pana n±ssa antoti ananta½, ±k±sa½ ananta½ ±k±s±nanta½, ±k±s±nantameva ±k±s±nañca½, ta½ ±k±s±nañca½ adhiµµh±naµµhena ±yatanamassa sasampayuttadhammassa jh±nassa dev±na½ dev±yatanamiv±ti ±k±s±nañc±yatana½.
Upasampajja viharat²ti tam±k±s±nañc±yatana½ patv± nipph±detv± tadanur³pena iriy±pathavih±rena viharat²ti.
