dosupp±dena tasseva, ki½ p³resi manoratha½.
“Dukkha½ tassa ca n±ma tva½, kuddho k±hasi v± nav±;

246. Sace panassa eva½ att±na½ ovadatopi paµigha½ neva v³pasammati, ath±nena attano ca parassa ca kammassakat± paccavekkhitabb±. Tattha attano t±va eva½ paccavekkhitabb± “ambho tva½ tassa kuddho ki½ karissasi? Nanu taveva ceta½ dosanid±na½ kamma½ anatth±ya sa½vattissati? Kammassako hi tva½ kammad±y±do kammayoni kammabandhu kammapaµisaraºo, ya½ kamma½ karissasi, tassa d±y±do bhavissasi, idañca te kamma½ neva samm±sambodhi½ na paccekabodhi½, na s±vakabh³mi½, na brahmattasakkattacakkavattipadesar±j±disampatt²na½ aññatara½ sampatti½ s±dhetu½ samattha½, atha kho s±sanato c±vetv± vigh±s±d±dibh±vassa ceva nerayik±didukkhavises±nañca te sa½vattanikamida½ kamma½. So tva½ ida½ karonto ubhohi hatthehi v²taccite v± aªg±re, g³tha½ v± gahetv± para½ paharituk±mo puriso viya att±nameva paµhama½ dahasi ceva duggandhañca karos²”ti.
Eva½ attano kammassakata½ paccavekkhitv± parassapi eva½ paccavekkhitabb± “esopi tava kujjhitv± ki½ karissati? Nanu etasseveta½ anatth±ya sa½vattissati? Kammassako hi ayam±yasm± kammad±y±do…pe… ya½ kamma½ karissati, tassa d±y±do bhavissati. Sv±ya½ ida½ karonto paµiv±te µhatv± para½ rajena okirituk±mo puriso viya att±na½yeva okirati. Vuttañheta½ bhagavat±–
“‘Yo appaduµµhassa narassa dussati,
suddhassa posassa anaªgaºassa;
tameva b±la½ pacceti p±pa½,

247. Sace panassa eva½ kammassakatampi paccavekkhato neva v³pasammati, ath±nena satthu pubbacariyaguº± anussaritabb±.
Tatr±ya½ paccavekkhaº±nayo– ambho pabbajita, nanu te satth± pubbeva sambodh± anabhisambuddho bodhisattopi sam±no catt±ri asaªkhyeyy±ni kappasatasahassañca p±ramiyo p³rayam±no tattha tattha vadhakesupi paccatthikesu citta½ nappad³sesi. Seyyathida½, s²lavaj±take t±va attano deviy± paduµµhena p±pa-amaccena ±n²tassa paµirañño tiyojanasata½ rajja½ gaºhantassa nisedhanatth±ya uµµhit±na½ amacc±na½ ±vudhampi chupitu½ na ad±si. Puna saddhi½ amaccasahassena ±makasus±ne galappam±ºa½ bh³mi½ khaºitv± nikhaññam±no cittappadosamattampi akatv± kuºapakh±danattha½ ±gat±na½ siªg±l±na½ pa½suviy³hana½ niss±ya purisak±ra½ katv± paµiladdhaj²vito yakkh±nubh±vena attano sirigabbha½ oruyha sirisayane sayita½ paccatthika½ disv± kopa½ akatv±va aññamañña½ sapatha½ katv± ta½ mittaµµh±ne µhapayitv± ±ha–
“¾s²setheva puriso, na nibbindeyya paº¹ito;

Khantiv±d²j±take dummedhena k±siraññ± “ki½v±d² tva½ samaº±”ti puµµho “khantiv±d² n±m±han”ti vutte sakaºµak±hi kas±hi t±¼etv± hatthap±desu chijjam±nesu kopamattampi n±k±si.
Anacchariyañceta½, ya½ mahallako pabbajj³pagato eva½ kareyya. C³¼adhammap±laj±take pana utt±naseyyakopi sam±no–
“Candanaras±nulitt±, b±h± chijjanti dhammap±lassa;
d±y±dassa pathaby±, p±º± me deva rujjhant²”ti. (J±. 1.5.49).
Eva½ vippalapam±n±ya m±tuy± pitar± mah±pat±pena n±ma raññ± va½saka¼²resu viya cat³su hatthap±desu ched±pitesu t±vat±pi santuµµhi½ an±pajjitv± s²samassa chindath±ti ±ºatte “aya½ d±ni te cittapariggaºhanak±lo, id±ni ambho dhammap±la, s²sacched±º±pake pitari, s²sacchedake purise, paridevam±n±ya m±tari, attani c±ti imesu cat³su samacitto hoh²”ti da¼ha½ sam±d±namadhiµµh±ya paduµµh±k±ramattampi n±k±si.
Idañc±pi anacchariyameva, ya½ manussabh³to evamak±si. Tiracch±nabh³topi pana chaddanto n±ma v±raºo hutv± visappitena sallena n±bhiya½ viddhopi t±va anatthak±rimhi luddake citta½ nappad³sesi. Yath±ha–
“Samappito puthusallena n±go,
aduµµhacitto luddaka½ ajjhabh±si;
kimatthaya½ kissa v± samma hetu,

“Pe¼±ya pakkhipantepi, maddantepi ca p±ºin±;

248. Sace panassa eva½ satthu pubbacaritaguºa½ paccavekkhatopi d²gharatta½ kiles±na½ d±sabya½ upagatassa neva ta½ paµigha½ v³pasammati, ath±nena anamataggiy±ni paccavekkhitabb±ni. Tatra hi vutta½–
“Na so, bhikkhave, satto sulabhar³po, yo na m±t±bh³tapubbo, yo na pit±bh³tapubbo, yo na bh±t±, yo na bhagin², yo na putto, yo na dh²t±bh³tapubb±”ti (sa½. ni. 2.137-142).

249. Sace pana evampi citta½ nibb±petu½ na sakkotiyeva, ath±nena eva½ mett±nisa½s± paccavekkhitabb±– “ambho pabbajita, nanu vutta½ bhagavat±–
‘Mett±ya kho, bhikkhave, cetovimuttiy± ±sevit±ya bh±vit±ya bahul²kat±ya y±n²kat±ya vatthukat±ya anuµµhit±ya paricit±ya susam±raddh±ya ek±das±nisa½s± p±µikaªkh± Katame ek±dasa? Sukha½ supati, sukha½ paµibujjhati, na p±paka½ supina½ passati, manuss±na½ piyo hoti, amanuss±na½ piyo hoti, devat± rakkhanti, n±ssa aggi v± visa½ v± sattha½ v± kamati, tuvaµa½ citta½ sam±dhiyati, mukhavaººo pas²dati, asamm³¼ho k±laªkaroti, uttarimappaµivijjhanto brahmalok³pago hot²’ti (a. ni. 11.15).
“Sace tva½ ida½ citta½ na nibb±pessasi, imehi ±nisa½sehi parib±hiro bhavissas²”ti.
250. Evampi nibb±petu½ asakkontena pana dh±tuvinibbhogo k±tabbo. Katha½? “Ambho pabbajita, tva½ etassa kujjham±no kassa kujjhasi? Ki½ kes±na½ kujjhasi, ud±hu lom±na½, nakh±na½…pe… muttassa kujjhasi? Atha v± pana kes±d²su pathav²dh±tuy± kujjhasi, ±podh±tuy±, tejodh±tuy±, v±yodh±tuy± kujjhasi? Ye v± pañcakkhandhe dv±das±yatan±ni aµµh±rasa dh±tuyo up±d±ya ayam±yasm± itthann±moti vuccati, tesu ki½ r³pakkhandhassa kujjhasi, ud±hu vedan± saññ± saªkh±raviññ±ºakkhandhassa kujjhasi? Ki½ v± cakkh±yatanassa kujjhasi, ki½ r³p±yatanassa kujjhasi…pe… ki½ man±yatanassa kujjhasi, ki½ dhamm±yatanassa kujjhasi?
