Sace paneta½ ekavih±reyeva labhati, icceta½ kusala½, no ce labhati, yattha so vasati, tattha gantabba½. Gacchantena ca na dhotamakkhitehi p±dehi up±han± ±r³hitv± chatta½ gahetv± telan±¼imadhuph±ŗit±d²ni g±h±petv± antev±sikaparivutena gantabba½. Sace ±cariyo daharataro hoti, pattac²varapaµiggahaŗ±d²ni na s±ditabb±ni. Sace vu¹¹hataro hoti, gantv± ±cariya½ vanditv± µh±tabba½. “Nikkhip±vuso, pattac²varan”ti vuttena nikkhipitabba½. “P±n²ya½ piv±”ti vuttena sace icchati p±tabba½. “P±de dhov±h²”ti vuttena na t±va p±d± dhovitabb±. Sace hi ±cariyena ±bhata½ udaka½ bhaveyya, na s±ruppa½ siy±. “Dhov±h±vuso, na may± ±bhata½, ańńehi ±bhatan”ti vuttena pana yattha ±cariyo na passati, evar³pe paµicchanne v± ok±se, abbhok±se vih±rass±pi v± ekamante nis²ditv± p±d± dhovitabb±.
Sace ±cariyo telan±¼i½ ±harati uµµhahitv± ubhohi hatthehi sakkacca½ gahetabb±. Sace hi na gaŗheyya, “aya½ bhikkhu ito eva paµµh±ya sambhoga½ kopet²”ti ±cariyassa ańńathatta½ bhaveyya. Gahetv± pana na ±ditova p±d± makkhetabb±. Sace hi ta½ ±cariyassa gattabbhańjanatela½ bhaveyya, na s±ruppa½ siy±. Tasm± s²sa½ makkhetv± khandh±d²ni makkhetabb±ni. “Sabbap±rih±riyatelamida½, ±vuso, p±depi makkheh²”ti vuttena pana thoka½ s²se katv± p±de makkhetv± “ima½ telan±¼i½ µhapemi, bhante”ti vatv± ±cariye gaŗhante d±tabb±.
¾gatadivasato paµµh±ya kammaµµh±na½ me, bhante, kathetha icceva½ na vattabba½. Dutiyadivasato pana paµµh±ya sace ±cariyassa pakati-upaµµh±ko atthi, ta½ y±citv± vatta½ k±tabba½. Sace y±citopi na deti, ok±se laddheyeva k±tabba½. Karontena khuddakamajjhimamahant±ni t²ŗi dantakaµµh±ni upan±metabb±ni. S²ta½ uŗhanti duvidha½ mukhadhovana-udakańca nh±nodakańca paµiy±detabba½. Tato ya½ ±cariyo t²ŗi divas±ni paribhuńjati, t±disameva nicca½ upan±metabba½. Niyama½ akatv± ya½ v± ta½ v± paribhuńjantassa yath±laddha½ upan±metabba½. Ki½ bahun± vuttena? Ya½ ta½ bhagavat± “antev±sikena, bhikkhave, ±cariyamhi samm± vattitabba½. Tatr±ya½ samm± vattan±, k±lasseva uµµh±ya up±han± omuńcitv± eka½sa½ uttar±saŖga½ karitv± dantakaµµha½ d±tabba½, mukhodaka½ d±tabba½, ±sana½ pańńapetabba½. Sace y±gu hoti, bh±jana½ dhovitv± y±gu upan±metabb±”ti (mah±va. 78) ±dika½ khandhake samm±vatta½ pańńatta½, ta½ sabbampi k±tabba½.
Eva½ vattasampattiy± garu½ ±r±dhayam±nena s±ya½ vanditv± y±h²ti vissajjitena gantabba½, yad± so kiss±gatos²ti pucchati, tad± ±gamanak±raŗa½ kathetabba½. Sace so neva pucchati, vatta½ pana s±diyati, das±he v± pakkhe v± v²tivatte ekadivasa½ vissajjiten±pi agantv± ok±sa½ k±retv± ±gamanak±raŗa½ ±rocetabba½. Ak±le v± gantv± kimattham±gatos²ti puµµhena ±rocetabba½. Sace so p±tova ±gacch±ti vadati, p±tova gantabba½.
Sace panassa t±ya vel±ya pitt±b±dhena v± kucchi pari¹ayhati, aggimandat±ya v± bhatta½ na j²rati, ańńo v± koci rogo b±dhati, ta½ yath±bh³ta½ ±vikatv± attano sapp±yavela½ ±rocetv± t±ya vel±ya upasaŖkamitabba½.
