Uppannavatthuk± uppann±rammaº±ti khaºapaccuppannavasena an±gatapaµikkhepo. Na hi t±ni an±gatesu pañcasu vatth±rammaºesu uppajjanti. Purej±tavatthuk± purej±t±rammaº±ti sahuppattipaµikkhepo. Na kañci dhamma½ paµivij±n±t²ti “manopubbaªgam± dhamm±”ti (dha. pa. 1-2) eva½ vutta½ ekampi kusal±kusala½ dhamma½ kocipi puggalo na paµivij±n±ti, tehi viññ±ºehi na s±dhet²ti attho. Aññatra abhinip±tamatt±ti µhapetv± r³p±di-±rammaº±na½ abhinip±tamatta½ ±p±thagamanamatta½, byattataropi puggalo pañcaviññ±ºehi ±p±thagat±rammaºapaµivij±nanamattato añña½ kusal±kusalapaµivij±nana½ k±tu½ na sakkot²ti attho.
Pañcanna½ viññ±º±na½ samanantar±p²ti manodh±tuy±pi. Api-saddo cettha sampiº¹anattho, tena na kevala½ manodh±tuy±va, tato parehipi pañcadv±rikaviññ±ºehi tad±rammaºapariyos±nehi na kiñci kusal±kusala½ dhamma½ paµivij±n±t²ti ayamattho dassitoti gahetabbo. Kiñc±pi pañcadv±re kusal±kusal±d²ni javan±ni uppajjanti, tath±pi t±ni moghapupph±ni viya abboh±rik±n²ti daµµhabb±ni. Na kañci iriy±patha½ kappet²ti-±d²supi eseva nayo. Na hi pañcadv±rikaviññ±ºehi gaman±d²su kañci iriy±patha½ kappeti, na k±yavac²kamma½ paµµhapeti, na viññatti½ v± samuµµh±peti, na kusal±kusala½ dhamma½ sam±diyati, na lokiyalokuttara½ sam±dhi½ sam±pajjati, na tato vuµµh±ti, na bhavato cavati, na bhavantare uppajjati, sabbampeta½ kicca½ manodv±rikacitteneva hoti. Yath± cetesa½ et±ni kicc±ni natthi, eva½ niy±mokkaman±d²nipi. Na hi koci pañcadv±rikajavanehi micchattaniy±ma½, sammattaniy±ma½ v± okkamati, na cet±ni n±magotta½ v± kasiº±dipaññatti½ v± tilakkhaº±di½ v± ±rabbha bhavanti. Na supat²ti-±d²su sabbehi pañcadv±rikacittehi na nidda½ okkamati, na kiñci supina½ passati. Nidd±yantassa hi indriyesu mah±pad²paturiyasadd±di-o¼±rikehipi r³p±dipañc±rammaºehi ghaµµitesu paµhama½ pañcadv±rik±ni ±vajjan±ni bhavaªga½ ±vaµµetu½ na sakkonti, manodv±rikameva ±vajjana½ sakkoti, tasmiñca uppanne manodv±rikajavana½ javitv± bhavaªga½ otarati. Dutiyav±re pana pañcadv±rika-±vajjanesu ya½ kiñci yath±raha½ bhavaªga½ ±vaµµeti, tato tad±rammaºapariyos±n±ni ta½ta½dv±rikav²thicitt±ni yath±kkama½ pavattitv± bhavaªga½ otaranti. Tatiyav±re pana manodv±rik±vajjanajavan±ni pavattanti, tasmi½ khaºe r³p±dipañc±rammaºavavatth±na½ hoti, satto ca nidd±ya paµibuddhoti, eva½ manodv±rikacitteneva paµibujjhati.
Supinampi hi teneva passati, na pañcadv±rikena, tañca paneta½ supina½ passanto cat³hi k±raºehi passati dh±tukkhobhato v± anubh³tapubbato v± devatopasa½h±rato v± pubbanimittato v±. Imesa½ pana sa½saggasannip±tatopi bahudh± papañcenti. Tattha ya½ v±tapitt±didh±tukkhobhato, anubh³tapubbato ca supina½ passati, na ta½ sacca½.
