Yamake ca gh±najivh±na½ sahappavatti vutt±ti ta½ upaparikkhitv± gahetabbanti. Jotip±latther±dayo pana “sa½sedajassa jaccandhabadhira-agh±nakanapu½sakassa jivh±k±yavatthudasak±na½ vasena ti½sar³p±ni uppajjant²ti vutta½, na opap±tikassa. Dhammahadayavibhaªgap±¼iyañca ‘upapattikkhaºe’ti vuttatt± opap±tikasseva vasena nayo n²to. Yamakaµµhakath±yañca vutta½ ‘k±madh±tuya½ agh±nako opap±tiko natthi. Yadi bhaveyya, kassaci aµµh±yatan±ni p±tubhavant²ti vadeyy±’ti, yampi dhammahadayavibhaªge ‘k±madh±tuy± upapattikkhaºe kassaci ek±das±yatan±ni p±tubhavant²’ti-±d²na½ niddese ‘opap±tik±na½ pet±nan’ti-±din± opap±tika-ggahaºameva kata½, na pana sa½sedaja-ggahaºa½, ta½ paripuºº±yatan±na½yeva sa½sedaj±na½ opap±tikesu saªgahavasena vuttanti veditabba½. Apare pan±hu– “k±madh±tuya½ agh±nako opap±tiko natthi. Yadi bhaveyya, kassaci aµµh±yatan±ni p±tubhavant²ti vadeyy±ti ida½ manussesu sa½sedajopap±tik±na½ vasena vutta½, te paripuºº±yatan±va Kesañci pana agh±nakak²µ±na½ atthibh±vato ap±yesu sa½sedajopap±tike sandh±yeta½ vuttan”ti vadanti. Ta½ ±nand±cariy±d²na½ matena paµikkhep±rahamev±ti.

Ya½ panettha vattabba½, ta½ vuttamev±ti.
759-60. Eva½ t²su bhavesu paµisandhiya½ r³pappavatti½ dassetv± id±ni pavattiya½ dassetu½ “sattav²sati r³p±n²”ti-±di vutta½. K±m±vacarasattassa hi paripuºº±yatanassa asati andhabadhir±dipas±davigh±te y±va maraºacittassa heµµh± sattarasamacitta½, t±va sattav²sati r³p±ni pavattanti. Aparipuºº±yatanassa pana jaccandh±dikassa heµµh± vuttanayena r³p±na½ h±yanava¹¹han±ni veditabb±ni. Nanu aµµhav²satiyeva r³p±ni k±mabhave pavattant²ti ±ha “appavattanato”ti-±di.
Gh±na½…pe… na vijjareti k±mavir±gabh±van±vasena gandh±digg±hakesu pas±desu viratt± hont²ti gh±n±dittaya½ natthi. Cakkhusotesu pana anuttaradassan±di-attha½ viratt± na hont²ti t±ni tesa½ uppajjanti. Bh±vadvaya½ k±mar±g³panissayatt± na uppajjati. Keci pana “lahut±dittayampi r³pabhave natthi dandhattakar±didh±tukkhobh±bh±vato. Sati hi t±dise dh±tukkhobhe tappaµipakkhehi lahut±d²hi bhavitabban”ti vadanti, ta½ ak±raºa½. Na hi v³pasametabbapaccan²k±pekkho tabbirodhidhammupp±do. Tath± sati sahetukakiriyacittupp±desu k±yalahut±d²na½ abh±vo eva siy±, tasm± pañceva r³p±ni saññ²brahm±na½ na uppajjanti, avases±ni tev²sati r³p±ni uppajjanti. Asaññ²brahm±na½ pana pañca pas±dar³p±ni, bh±vadvaya½, hadayavatthu, viññattidvaya½, lahut±dittayanti terasa r³p±ni vajjetv± avases±ni pannarasa uppajjanti.
761. Catusantat²ti catunna½ paccay±na½ vasena catusantatir³p±ni. R³pe honti tisantat²ti brahm±na½ an±h±rabh±vena ±h±rajar³p±na½ abh±vato tisso santatiyo. Dvisantat²ti cittaj±h±raj±na½ abh±vato dve santatiyo. Bahiddh± ekasantat²ti kammaj±d²na½ tissannampi abh±vato utujasantatiyeva.
762-4. Eva½ paµisandhipavatt²su r³p±na½ gaºanapariccheda½ vatv± id±ni tattha nesa½ uppattikkama½ dassetu½ “r³pa½ nibbattam±nan”ti-±di vutta½. Sabbesanti k±mar³pabhavik±na½ sabbasatt±na½. Paµisandhikkhaºe pan±ti ettha dasakattaya½ hot²ti p±µhaseso. Ten±ha “yathev±”ti-±di. Paµisandhikkhaºe dasakattaya½ heµµh± vuttampi “tañca kho sandhicittass±”ti-±dika½ visesa½ dassetu½ puna vutta½. Cittassa t²su khaºesu kammajar³p±na½ samuppattito ±ha “tathev±”ti-±di. Ti½sa ti½sev±ti ti½sa ti½seva kammajar³p±ni.
¾nand±cariyo pana “cittassa µhitikkhaºameva natthi, bhaªgakkhaºe ca r³pupp±do natth²ti catusamuµµh±nik±nipi r³p±ni cittassa upp±dakkhaºeyeva hont²”ti ±ha. Vuttañhi tena yo cettha cittassa µhitikkhaºo vutto, so ca atthi natth²ti vic±retabbo. Cittayamake hi “uppanna½ uppajjam±nan”ti (yama. 2.cittayamaka.81) etassa vibhaªge “bhaªgakkhaºe uppanna½ no ca uppajjam±nan”ti (yama. 2.cittayamaka.81) ettakameva vutta½, na vutta½ “µhitikkhaºe bhaªgakkhaºe c±”ti. Tath±n”a uppajjam±na½ na uppannan”ti ettha “bhaªgakkhaºe na uppajjam±na½ no ca na uppannan”ti ettakameva vutta½, na vutta½ “µhitikkhaºe bhaªgakkhaºe c±”ti. Suttepi hi “µhitassa aññathatta½ paññ±yat²”ti (a. ni. 3.47) tasseva ekassa aññathatt±bh±vato yass± aññathatta½ paññ±yati, s± santatiµµhit²ti na na sakk± vattu½. Vijjam±na½ ta½khaºadvayasamaªg² µhitanti. Yo cettha cittassa nirodhakkhaºe r³pupp±do vutto, so ca vic±retabbo. Kasm±? “Yassa v± pana samudayasacca½ nirujjhati, tassa dukkhasacca½ uppajjat²ti? No”ti (yama. 1.saccayamaka.136) vuttanti, na ca cittasamuµµh±nar³pameva sandh±ya paµikkhepo katoti sakk± viññ±tu½ cittasamuµµh±nar³p±dhik±rassa abh±v±ti.
¾cariyassa hi ayamadhipp±yo– uppanna-uppajjam±nav±r±d²su “µhitikkhaºe”ti avacana½ “cittassa µhitikkhaºa½ n±ma natth²”ti imamattha½ d²peti. Na hi yath±dhammas±sane abhidhamme labbham±nassa avacane k±raºa½ dissati. Na kevala½ abhidhamme avacanameva cittassa µhitikkhaºabh±vajotaka½, apica kho “µhitassa aññathatta½ paññ±yat²”ti evam±gat± suttantap±¼ipi. Aññathatta½ n±ma pubb±paraviseso. Apica yath± bh³to dhammo uppajjati, ki½ tath± bh³tova bhijjati, ud±hu aññath± bh³to. Yadi tath± bh³tova bhijjati, na jarat±ya sambhavo. Aññath± bh³to, añño eva soti sabbath±pi µhitikkhaºassa abh±voyeva. Yadi ca cittassa bhaªgakkhaºe r³pa½ uppajjeyya, ta½ dukkhasaccanti katv± “no”ti vattu½ na sakk±, vuttañca, tasm± viññ±yati “cittassa nirodhakkhaºe r³pupp±do natth²”ti.
¾cariyajotip±ladhammap±latther±na½ paneta½ nakkhamati. Tehi “ekadhamm±dh±rabh±vepi upp±danirodh±na½ añño upp±dakkhaºo, añño nirodhakkhaºo. Upp±d±vatthañhi up±d±ya upp±dakkhaºo, nirodh±vattha½ up±d±ya nirodhakkhaºo. Upp±d±vatth±ya ca bhinn± nirodh±vatth±ti ekasmi½yeva ca sabh±vadhamme yath± icchitabb±, aññath± aññoyeva dhammo uppajjati, añño nirujjhat²ti ±pajjeyya, eva½ nirodh±vatth±ya viya nirodh±bhimukh±vatth±yapi bhavitabba½, s± µhiti jarat± c±”ti sampaµicchitabbameta½.
Yadi eva½, kasm± p±¼iya½ µhitikkhaºo na vuttoti? Vineyyajjh±say±nurodhena nayadassanavasena p±¼igat²ti veditabb±ti. Abhidhammadesan±pi hi kad±ci vineyyajjh±say±nurodhena pavattati, yath± r³passa upp±do “upacayo santat²”ti bhinditv± desito. Hetusampayuttaduk±didesan± cettha nidassitabb±. “Yassa v± pan±”ti-±dipucch±ya vissajjane ca ar³paloka½ cittasamuµµh±nar³pa½ v± sandh±ya “no”ti sakk± vattu½. Ayañhi yamakadesan±ya pakati, yadida½ yath±sambhavayojan±ti. Atha v± pacc±sattiñ±yena ya½ samudayasacca½ nirujjhati, tena ya½ dukkhasacca½ upp±detabba½ cittacetasikatappaµibaddhar³pasaªkh±ta½, tassa tad± uppatti natth²ti “no”ti vissajjana½, na sabbassa vacanato, tasm± na sakk± cittassa µhitikkhaºe, bhaªgakkhaºe ca r³pupp±dana½ paµikkhipitunti vadanti.
Utujar³p±ni pana paµisandhicittassa µhitikkhaºato paµµh±ya aµµhakanavakavasena uppajjanti. Paµisandhikkhaºe hi uppann±na½ kammajar³p±na½ abbhantare sahupp±da-ekanirodhatejodh±tu µh±na½ patv± tassa µhitikkhaºe aµµha r³p±ni samuµµh±peti, tattha uppann± tejodh±tu paµisandhicittassa bhaªgakkhaºe, tattha uppann± paµhamabhavaªgassa upp±dakkhaºeti evam±din± aµµhaka½, kad±ci saddap±tubh±vak±le tena saha saddanavakañca uppajjati. Cittajar³p±ni ca paµisandhito anantara½ paµhamabhavaªgato paµµh±ya r³pajanakacitt±na½ upp±dakkhaºe aµµhakavasena, saddap±tubh±v±dik±le saddanavak±divasena ca pavattanti. ¾h±raj±ni pana ekassa, dvinna½ v± satt±h±na½ atikkamena nibbattanti. Nanu ca ajjhohaµ±h±rapaccayena ±h±ro r³pa½ samuµµh±peti, gabbhe sayantassa ca kuto ajjhoharaº±h±roti? Sam±tito. M±tar± hi bhutta½ kucchigatassa sar²re abbhañjana½ viya ±h±rakicca½ karoti. Ayamettha gabbhaseyyak±na½ r³pappavattinayo.
Opap±tik±nampi paµisandhicittassa upp±dakkhaºe kammasamuµµh±n±ni sattati r³p±ni uppajjanti, tathevassa µhitikkhaºe, bhaªgakkhaºe ca sattati sattat²ti-±din± vuttanayena ukka½s±vaka½sato k±mabhavikasatt±na½, r³p²brahm±nañca yath±vuttanayeneva yath±nur³pa½ kammasamuµµh±n±na½, utusamuµµh±n±nañca pavatti veditabb±. ¾h±rajar³pa½ pana k±m±vacar±na½ sabbapaµhama½ attano mukhagatakhe¼a½ ajjhoharaºak±le uppajjati. Saññ²brahm±na½ ta½ sabbena sabba½ natthi. Asaññ²nañca cittaj±h±raj±ni natthev±ti aya½ viseso. Eva½ uppajjam±nesu ca panetesu r³pesu ya½ cittassa upp±dakkhaºe uppanna½, ta½ attan± sahuppannacitta½ ±di½ katv± sattarasamacittassa nirodhakkhaºe nirujjhati, µhitikkhaºe uppanna½ aµµh±rasamassa upp±dakkhaºe nirujjhati, bhaªgakkhaºe uppanna½ imassa µhitikkhaºe nirujjhat²ti eva½ uppajjanta½, nirujjhantañca y±va maraºacittassa heµµh± sattarasamacitta½, t±va yath±raha½ catusantati-±divasena pavattat²ti. ¾sannamaraºassa pana cutito sattarasamacittassa µhitikkhaºam±di½ katv± kammajar³pa½ na samuµµh±ti. Yadi samuµµh±ti, maraºa½ na siy± anupacchinnatt± kammajar³p±na½. Kammajar³pasamucchede hi “mato”ti vuccati. Vuttañhi–
“¾yu usm± ca viññ±ºa½, yad± k±ya½ jahantima½;
apaviddho tad± seti, nirattha½va kaliªgaran”ti. (Sa½. ni. 3.95).
Sattarasamena saha uppannañca ta½ cuticittena saha nirujjhati, aparañca na uppajjati. ¾yukkhay±, kammakkhay±, ubhayakkhay±, upakkamena v± kassac²ti eva½ kammajar³passeva hi maraºa½ hoti satipi ±h±raje, aµµhakath±matena cittaje ca. Tampi apagataj²vassa na uppajjati. Utujar³pa½ pana pavattati eva. Tath± sa½sedaj±na½, opap±tik±na½ pana sar²ranikkhep±bh±vato tampi na pavattati.
765-6. Upp±davayavantat±ya nicco dhuvo na hot²ti anicco, niccakhaºikat±ya v± na icco sassat±divasena anupagantabboti anicco. Ayañhi vin±so janakapaccayato aññahetunirapekkhat±ya niccakhaºikova hoti. Dhuvas±ravirahitatt± addhuvo. Avasavattanaµµhena anatt±. Udayavayapaµip²¼anena, dukkhavatthut±ya ca dukkh±na½ khandho sam³hoti dukkhakkhandho. Eva½vidho pana sukhehi asammissoyev±ti ±ha “kevalo”ti. Kassacipi v± r³passa sukhasabh±vassa abh±vato sakalopi dukkhakkhandhoti vutta½ “dukkhakkhandho ca kevalo”ti. Paccayay±paniyat±ya ca rogam³lat±ya ca rogato. So hi yath±raha½ paccayehi y±petabbat±ya y±pyarogo viy±ti rogato daµµhabbo. Y±pyaby±dhi hi rogo, itaro ±b±dho, m³laby±dhi viya cesa anubaddhaby±dh²na½ kilesarog±d²na½ m³labh±vato rogato daµµhabbo. Dukkhat±s³layogit±ya, kiles±sucipaggharaºat±ya upp±dajar±bhaªgehi uddhum±taparipakkapabhinnat±ya ca gaº¹ato. So hi dukkhadukkhat± saªkh±radukkhat± vipariº±madukkhat±ti tividhadukkhat±saªkh±tena rujjanena yuttat±ya, yath±raham±rammaºavasena ca samann±gamavasena ca r±g±dikiles±sucivissandanato, ahutv± sambhavanato, uppattiy± uddhum±tatt± jar±bhaªgehi ca yath±kkama½ paripakkapabhinnabh±vato gaº¹asadisoti gaº¹ato daµµhabbo. Avasavattanat±ya, avidheyyat±ya ca parato. Yath± hi paro patanto parassa vasa½ na gacchati, evameta½ subhasukh±dibh±vena vase vattetu½ asakkuºeyyat±ya avasavattanato “m± j²ratha, m± marath±”ti-±din± vidh±tu½ asakkuºeyyat±ya avidheyyabh±vato parato daµµhabba½. By±dhijar±maraºehi palujjanato, ±by±sanato ca palokato. Ida½ by±dhi-±d²hi pak±rehi bhijjanato, vinassanato, etehi eva v± ±by±sanato byasanatthassa loka-saddassa pavisiµµhassa ±by±sanatthat±ya palokato daµµhabba½. Chandanti rajjanavasena pavatta½ chanda½.
