Atha v± sabbasoti sabb±sa½, kusal±dibhedena anavases±nanti attho. R³pasaññ±nanti saññ±s²sena vuttar³p±vacarajjh±n±nañceva tad±rammaº±nañca. R³p±vacarajjh±nampi hi “r³pan”ti vuccati uttarapadalopena “r³p² r³p±ni passat²”ti-±d²su viya. Tad±rammaºampi kasiºar³pa½ purimapadalopena “devena dattoti, bahiddh± r³p±ni passat²”ti-±d²su viya, tasm± idha r³pe r³pajjh±ne ta½sahagatasaññ± r³pasaññ±ti gahit±, saññ±s²sena vuttar³p±vacarajjh±n±nameta½ adhivacana½. “R³pan”ti saññ± ass±ti r³pasañña½, r³pan±mavantanti attho. Ta½gahitena pathav²kasiº±dibhedassa tad±rammaºassa ceta½ n±manti daµµhabba½. “R³pasaññ±nan”ti hi sar³pekasesavasena niddeso kato. Samatikkam±ti vir±g±, nirodh± ca. Ki½ vutta½ hoti? Na kevala½ et±sa½yeva samatikkamanato ida½ nibbatta½, atha kho paµighasaññ±d²namatthaªgam±ditop²ti ±ha “paµighasaññ±nan”ti-±di. Tattha cakkh±d²na½ vatth³na½, r³p±d²nañca ±rammaº±na½ paµigh±tena aññamaññasamodh±nasaªkh±tena paµihananena uppann± saññ± paµighasaññ±, r³pasaññ±didvipañcasaññ±nameta½ adhivacana½. Yath±ha–

T±sa½ kusal±kusalavip±kabh³t±na½ atthaªgam± pah±n± asamupp±d± appavattikaraºen±ti vutta½ hoti. Nanu ca et± r³p±vacarajjh±nasam±pannass±pi na santi. Na hi paµhamajjh±n±disam±pannak±le pañcadv±ravasena citta½ pavattat²ti? Saccameta½, yath± pana “sukhassa ca pah±n± dukkhassa ca pah±n± adukkhamasukha½ upekkh±satip±risuddhi½ catutthajjh±na½ upasampajja viharat²”ti ettha pasa½s±vasena aññattha pah²n±nampi sukhadukkh±na½ catutthajjh±ne, “sakk±yadiµµhivicikicch±na½ pah±n± r±gadosamoh±na½ tanutt± sakad±g±mimagga½ upasampajja viharat²”ti ettha paµhamamaggeyeva pah²n±na½ sakk±yadiµµh±d²na½ dutiyamagge ca vacana½, evameva imasmi½ jh±ne paµipajjanak±na½ uss±hajananattha½ imassa jh±nassa pasa½s±vasena et±sa½ ettha vacananti veditabba½. Atha v± kiñc±pi t± r³p±vacarasam±pannass±pi na santi, na pana pah²natt± na santi. Kiñcarahi paccay±bh±vena. Na hi r³p±vacarabh±van± r³pavir±g±ya sa½vattati, r³p±yatt± eva t±sa½ pavatt²ti. Ar³pabh±van± pana r³pavir±g±ya sa½vattati, tasm± “t± ettha pah²n±”ti vattu½ vaµµati. Tath± hi et±sa½ ito pubbe appah²natt±yeva “paµhamajjh±na½ sam±pannassa saddo kaºµako”ti vutto bhagavat±. Idha ca pah²natt± eva ar³pasam±patt²na½ ±neñj±bhisaªkh±ravacan±d²hi, “ye te sant± vimokkh± atikkamma r³pe ar³p±”ti-±din± ca ±neñjat±, santavimokkhat± ca vutt±.
N±nattasaññ±nanti n±natte gocare pavatt±na½, n±natt±na½ v± saññ±na½, vutt±vases±na½ catucatt±l²sak±m±vacarasaññ±nanti attho. Et± eva hi–

N±nattasaññ±su pana y± tasmi½ bhave na uppajjanti ekantar³panissitatt±, t± anok±sat±ya na uppajjanti, na ar³pabh±van±ya niv±ritatt±, aniv±ritatt± ca k±ci uppajjanti, tasm± t±sa½ amanasik±ro an±vajjana½ apaccavekkhaºa½ javanapaµip±dakena v± bhavaªgamanassa anto akaraºa½ appavesana½ vutta½. Tatra pavattam±n±nampi hi jh±na½ sam±pannassa t±sa½ amanasik±royeva itarath± jh±nasam±pattiy± abh±vato. Iti saªkhepato “r³pasaññ±na½ samatikkam±”ti imin± sabbar³p±vacaradhamm±na½ pah±na½ vutta½, “paµighasaññ±na½ atthaªgam± n±nattasaññ±na½ amanasik±r±”ti sabbesa½ k±m±vacaracittacetasik±na½ pah±na½, amanasik±ro ca vutto, t²hi panetehi sam±dhissa thirabh±vo kathitoti.

¾k±s±nañc±yatanasaññ±sahagatanti ettha pana n±ssa antoti ananta½, ananta½ ±k±sa½ ±k±s±nanta½, kasiºuggh±µim±k±sa½, anantat± pana upp±davayant±bh±vato anantamanasik±ravasena v± veditabb±. Na hi etassa upp±danto, vayanto v± paññ±yati asabh±vadhammatt±. Sabh±vadhammo hi ahutv± sambhavanato, hutv± ca vinassanato upp±davayantaparicchinno, netaro. Na ca paneta½ manasi karonto yog±vacaro tassa paricchedasaªkh±tamanta½ gaºh±ti, atha kho r³pavivekamattasseva gahaºena anantapharaº±k±reneva manasik±ra½ pavatteti, tasm± upp±davayantavirahato manasik±ravasena v± etamanantanti veditabba½. “Anant±k±san”ti ca vattabbe ananta-saddassa paranip±tavasena “±k±s±nantan”ti vuccati. ¾k±s±nantameva ±k±s±nañca½ sa½yogaparassa ta-k±rassa ca-k±ra½ katv±, tadeva ±yatana½ sasampayuttadhammassa jh±nassa ±rammaºabh±vato adhiµµh±naµµhena dev±yatana½ viy±ti ±k±s±nañc±yatana½, tasmi½ appan±patt± saññ± ±k±s±nañc±yatanasaññ±, t±ya sahagata½ viññ±ºa½ ±k±s±nañc±yatanasaññ±sahagata½. Nevasaññ±…pe… sahagatanti heµµhimajh±nesu viya o¼±rik±ya saññ±ya abh±vato nevassa saññ± atth²ti nevasañña½, sukhum±ya ca saññ±ya atthit±ya n±ssa saññ± natth²ti n±sañña½, nevasaññañca ta½ n±saññañceti nevasaññ±n±sañña½, catutth±ruppajjh±na½.
