Tath± hesa “ketukamyat±paccupaµµh±no”ti (dha. sa. aµµha. 400) vutto. Dussat²ti doso, so caº¹ikkalakkhaºo pahaµ±s²viso viya, issat²ti iss±, s± parasampatti-us³yanalakkhaº±. Maccharassa bh±vo macchariya½, “m± ida½ acchariya½ aññesa½ hotu, mayhameva hot³”ti pavatta½ v± macchariya½, ta½ attasampattinig³hanalakkhaºa½. Kucchita½ katanti kukata½. Kat±kataduccaritasucarita½. Akatampi hi kukatan”ti voharanti “ya½ may± akata½. Ta½ kukatan”ti. Middhana½ middha½, vigatas±matthiyat±, asattivigh±to v±, tattha thina½ cittassa akammaññat±lakkhaºa½, middha½ vedan±dikkhandhattayass±ti ayametesa½ viseso. Tath± hi p±¼iya½ (dha. sa. 1162-1163) “tattha katama½ thina½? Y± cittassa akallat± akammaññat±. Tattha katama½ middha½? Y± k±yassa akallat± akammaññat±”ty±din± imesa½ niddeso pavatto. Nanu ca “k±yass±”ti vacanato r³pak±yassapi akammaññat± middhanti tassa r³pabh±vopi ±pajjat²ti? N±pajjati, tattha tattha ±cariyehi ±n²tak±raºavasenevassa paµikkhittatt±. Tath± hi middhav±dimatappaµikkhepanattha½ tesa½ v±danikkhepapubbaka½ aµµhakath±d²su bahudh± vitth±renti ±cariy±. Aya½ panettha saªgaho–
“Keci middhampi r³panti, vadanteta½ na yujjati;
pah±tabbesu vuttatt±, k±macchand±dayo viya.
“Pah±tabbesu akkh±ta-meta½ n²varaºesu hi;
r³pantu na pah±tabba-makkh±ta½ dassan±din±.
“‘Na tumha½ bhikkhave r³pa½, pajaheth±’ti p±µhato;
paheyyabh±valesopi, yattha r³passa dissati.
“Tattha tabbisayacchanda-r±gah±ni pak±sit±;
vuttañhi tattha yo chanda-r±gakkhepoti-±dika½.
“R³p±r³pesu middhesu, ar³pa½ tattha desita½;
iti ce natthi ta½ tattha, avisesena p±µhato.
“Sakk± hi anum±tu½ ya½, middha½ r³panti cintita½;
tampi n²varaºa½ middha-bh±vato itara½ viya.
“Sampayog±bhidh±n± ca, na ta½ r³panti nicchayo;
ar³p²nañhi khandh±na½, sampayogo pavuccati.
“Tath±ruppe samuppatti, p±µhato natthi r³pat±;
nidd± kh²º±sav±nantu, k±yagelaññato siy±”ti.
