Cuticitte pana aµµhakath±ya½ (dha. sa. aµµha. 636; vibha. aµµha. 26 pakiººakakath±) t±va “v³pasantavaµµam³lasmi½ sant±ne s±tisaya½ santavuttit±ya kh²º±savasseva cuticitta½ r³pa½ na samuµµh±pet²”ti (dha. sa. m³laµ². 636) vutta½. ¾nand±cariy±dayo pana “sabbesampi cuticitta½ r³pa½ na samuµµh±pet²”ti vadanti. Vinicchayo pana nesa½ saªkhepato m³laµ²k±d²su, vitth±rato ca abhidhammatthavik±siniya½ vuttanayena daµµhabbo. Paµhamabhavaªgamup±d±y±ti paµisandhiy± anantaranibbattapaµhamabhavaªgato paµµh±ya. J±yantameva samuµµh±peti, na pana µhita½, bhijjam±na½ v± anantar±dipaccayal±bhena upp±dakkhaºeyeva janakas±matthiyayogato.
32. Iriy±ya k±yikakiriy±ya pavattipathabh±vato iriy±patho, gaman±di, atthato tadavatth± r³pappavatti. Tampi sandh±reti yath±pavatta½ upatthambheti. Yath± hi v²thicittehi abbokiººe bhavaªge pavattam±ne aªg±ni os²danti, na evametesu dvatti½savidhesu, vakkham±nesu ca chabb²satiy± j±garaºacittesu pavattam±nesu. Tad± pana aªg±ni upatthaddh±ni yath±pavatta-iriy±pathabh±veneva pavattanti.

K±mañcettha r³pavinimutto iriy±patho, viññatti v± natthi, tath±pi na sabba½ r³pasamuµµh±paka½ citta½ iriy±path³patthambhaka½, viññattivik±rajanakañca hoti. Ya½ pana citta½ viññattijanaka½, ta½ eka½sato iriy±path³patthambhaka½ iriy±pathassa viññattiy± saha avin±bh±vato. Iriy±path³patthambhakañca r³pajanakanti imassa visesadassanattha½ r³pato iriy±pathaviññatt²na½ visu½ gahaºa½.
34. Teras±ti kusalato catt±ri, akusalato catt±ri, kiriyato pañc±ti terasa. Tesu hi puthujjan± aµµhahi kusal±kusalehi hasanti, sekkh± diµµhisahagatavajjitehi, asekkh± pana pañcahi kiriyacittehi, tatth±pi buddh± cat³hi sahetukakiriyacitteheva hasanti, na ahetukena “at²ta½s±d²su appaµihatañ±ºa½ patv± imehi t²hi dhammehi samann±gatassa buddhassa bhagavato sabba½ k±yakamma½ ñ±ºapubbaªgama½ ñ±º±nuparivatt²”ti vacanato (mah±ni. 69; c³¼ani. moghar±jam±ºavapucch±niddesa 85; paµi. ma. 3.5). Na hi vic±raºapaññ±rahitassa hasitupp±dassa buddh±na½ pavatti yutt±ti vadanti. Hasitupp±dacittena pana pavattiyam±nampi tesa½ sitakaraºa½ pubbeniv±sa-an±gata½sasabbaññutaññ±º±na½ anuvattakatt± ñ±º±nuparivattiyev±ti. Evañca katv± aµµhakath±ya½ (dha. sa. aµµha. 568) “tesa½ ñ±º±na½ ciººapariyante ida½ citta½ h±sayam±na½ uppajjat²”ti vutta½, tasm± na tassa buddh±na½ pavatti sakk± niv±retu½.
