Dh±tukath±pakaraºadesan±ya desadesakaparis±pades± vuttappak±r± ev±ti k±l±padesa½ dassento “dh±tukath±pakaraºa½ desento”ti-±dim±ha. “Tasseva anantara½ adesay²”ti hi imin± vibhaªg±nantara½ dh±tukath± desit±ti tass± desan±k±lo apadiµµho hoti. Ye pana “vibhaªg±nantara½ kath±vatthupakaraºa½ desitan”ti vadanti, tesa½ v±da½ paµikkhipanto “vibhaªg±nantara½…pe… dassetun”ti ±ha.
“K±m± te paµham± sen±”ti-±divacanato (su. ni. 438; mah±ni. 28; c³¼ani. nandam±ºavapucch±niddesa 47) kilesaviddha½sanampi devaputtam±rassa balavidhamananti sakk± vattu½, “appavattikaraºavasena kiles±bhisaªkh±ram±r±nan”ti pana vuccam±natt± khantibalasaddh±bal±di-±nubh±vena uss±haparis±balabhañjanameva devaputtam±rassa balaviddha½sana½ daµµhabba½. Visay±tikkamana½ k±madh±tusamatikkamo. Samudayappah±napariññ±vasen±ti pah±n±bhisamayapariññ±bhisamay±na½ vasena. Nanu ceta½ pañcanna½ m±r±na½ bhañjana½ s±vakesupi labbhatev±ti codana½ manasi katv± ±ha “par³panissayarahitan”ti-±di. V²rassa bh±vo v²riyanti katv± vutta½ “mah±v²riyoti mah±v²ro”ti. Mah±v²riyat± ca paripuººav²riyap±ramit±ya caturaªgasamann±gatav²riy±dhiµµh±nena anaññas±dh±raºacatubbidhasammappadh±nasampattiy± ca veditabb±. Tato eva hissa v²riy±h±nisiddhip²ti.
Khandh±dike dhamme adhiµµh±ya niss±ya visaya½ katv± abhidhammakath± pavatt±ti ±ha “abhidhammakath±dhiµµh±naµµhena v±”ti. Tesa½ kathanatoti tesa½ khandh±d²na½ kath±bh±vato. Etena atthavisesasannissayo byañjanasamud±yo pakaraºanti vutta½ hoti. Atha v± dh±tuyo kath²yanti ettha, etena v±ti dh±tukath±, tath±pavatto byañjanatthasamud±yo. Yadi eva½ sattannampi pakaraº±na½ dh±tukath±bh±vo ±pajjat²ti codana½ sandh±y±ha “yadip²”ti-±di. Tattha s±tisayanti savisesa½ vicitt±tirekavasena anavasesato ca desan±ya pavattatt±. Tath± hi vutta½ “sabb±pi dhammasaªgaº² dh±tukath±ya m±tik±”ti (dh±tu. 5). Tenev±ha “ekadesakathanameva hi aññattha katan”ti.
Id±ni s±sane yesu dh±tu-saddo niru¼ho, tesa½ vasena aññehipi as±dh±raºa½ imassa pakaraºassa dh±tukath±bh±va½ dassento “khandh±yatanadh±t³hi v±”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha tatth±ti khandh±yatanadh±t³su. Mahanto pabhed±nugato visayo et±santi mah±visay±, dh±tuyo, na khandh±yatan±ni appatarapadatt±. Yena v± sabh±vena dhamm± saªgah±saªgahasampayogavippayogehi uddesaniddese labhanti, so sabh±vo dh±tu. S± dh±tu idha s±tisaya½ desit±ti savisesa½ dh±tuy± kathanato ida½ pakaraºa½ “dh±tukath±”ti vutta½. Sabh±vattho hi aya½ dh±tu-saddo “dh±tuso, bhikkhave satt± sa½sandant²”ti-±d²su (sa½. ni. 2.98) viya. Dh±tubhedanti dh±tuvibh±ga½. Pakaraºanti vacanaseso. Kuto pakaraºa-saddo labbhat²ti ±ha “sattanna½ pakaraº±na½ kamena vaººan±ya pavattatt±”ti. Tena yojana½ katv±ti tena pakaraºa-saddena “dh±tukath±va pakaraºa½ dh±tukath±pakaraºan”ti yojana½ katv±. Ta½ d²pananti ta½ dh±tukath±pakaraºassa atthad²pana½, atthad²pan±k±rena pavatta½ vaººana½. “Attha½ d²payiss±m²”ti vatv± “ta½ suº±th±”ti vadanto sotadv±r±nus±rena tattha upadh±raºe niyojet²ti ±ha “ta½d²panavacanasavanena upadh±reth±ti attho”ti.
