Satipi sabbesa½ s±rammaºadhamm±na½ ±rammaºaggahaºe na citta½ viya pare paricchijjag±hinoti “paricchinnopaladdhivasena j±n±t²”ti citta½ vutta½. Cetasikesu hi keci visaya½ paricchijja gahetu½ na sakkonti, keci pana paricchedamatteyeva tiµµhanti, na viññ±ºa½ viya visaya½ gaºhant²ti ye ±saªkitabb±, tesu tadabh±va½ dassento “na saññ±…pe… vijjhanavasen±”ti ±ha.
P²tiy± ca somanassabh±vo ±pajjat²ti ida½ p²ti ca somanassañca p²tisomanassanti p²tisomanass±na½ tulyayoga½ sandh±ya vutta½. Somanassasseva pana “±jaññaratho”ti viya p²tiyutta½ somanassa½ p²tisomanassanti padh±nabh±vo icchitoti na p²tiy± somanassabh±vappatti. Na hi padh±ne vijjam±ne appadh±na½ upayujjati, p²tiggahaºañcettha p²tiyuttassa somanassassa yebhuyyena bh±vato paribyattakiccato ca kata½, na ca nipp²tikasomanassassa asaªgaho. Ru¼h²saddesu kiriy±ya anaccantikabh±vato. P²tiy± pana upalakkhaºabh±vena ayamattho suµµhu yujjat²ti dassento ±ha “p²ti-upalakkhita½ v±”ti-±di.
Pavatta½ up±dinnakkhandha½. Ciraµµhitika½ hot²ti etena na kevala½ anup±letabbadhamm±na½ khaºaµµhitiy±yeva, atha kho pabandh±nupacchedassapi j²vita½ k±raºanti dasseti. Aññath± hi ±yukkhayamaraºa½ na yujjeyy±ti. Avisesen±ti k±raºavises±napekkhena j²vitindriyat±s±maññena. Yadipi ar³p±saññabhavesu r³p±r³padhamm± nappavattanti, tehi pana purimapacchimabhavesu carimapaµhamadhamm± sam±naj±tiyena abyavahitat±ya nirantar±yeva n±ma hont²ti “y±va parinibb±na½ avicchinna½ pavattat²”ti vutta½. Anup±lan±dikass±ti anup±lanapavattanaµµhapan±niyeva vadati. J²vam±navisesappaccayabh±vatoti sahaj±t±na½ j²vam±nat±visesassa paccayabh±vato. Indriyabaddhassa hi matar³pato kammajassa ca utuj±dito viseso j²vitindriyakatoti.
