Evañca katv± “kusalo dhammo kusalassa dhammassa ±rammaºapaccayena paccayo, sahaj±ta-upanissayapaccayena paccayo”ticceva (paµµh±. 1.1.404, 419, 423) vutta½ tadaññ±bh±v± na vutta½ “kamm±h±rindriyapaccayena paccayo”ti, tasm± “±rammaº±dhipati ±rammaºapaccaye saªgaha½ gacchat²”ti eva½ vattabba½. Ya½ pana parittattike pañh±v±rapaccan²ye “appam±ºo dhammo appam±ºassa dhammassa sahaj±ta-upanissayapaccayena paccayo”ti (paµµh±. 2.12.66, 74) ettha ±rammaºassa avacana½, ta½ purimehi asaªgahitavasena vutt±na½ saªgahitavivajjan±bh±vato upanissayato aññ±rammaº±bh±vato ca, na pana ±rammaº³panissayassa ±rammaºe asaªgahitatt±.
Atthi-avigatapaccay± yadipi sahaj±tapurej±tapacch±j±t±h±rindriy±na½ vasena pañcavidh±va, sahaj±tapurej±t±na½ pana pacch±j±t±h±r±na½ pacch±j±tindriy±nañca sah±pi atthi-avigatapaccayabh±vo hoti, na tiººa½ vippayuttat± viya visu½yev±ti “atthi-avigatesu ca ekekassa vasena chahi bhedehi µhit±”ti atthi-avigatapaccayalakkhaºesu ekeka½ saªgahetv± vutta½.

Catutthe purej±tapaccayeti ettha yath± “upanissayapaccaye adhipatibh³to ±rammaºapaccayo”ti vutta½, eva½ “purej±tabh³to ±rammaºapaccayo”tipi vattabba½, ta½ pana tattha vuttanayena gahetu½ sakk±ti katv± na vutta½ siy±. Atha pana “±rammaºato añña½ purej±taggahaºena gahitan”ti na vutta½, eva½ sati upanissayaggahaºenapi ±rammaºato aññassa gahitat±ya bhavitabbanti “adhipatibh³to ±rammaºapaccayo upanissaye saªgaha½ gacchat²”ti na vattabba½ siy±ti.

Tena dv±dasamacuddasamesu pañhesu sahaj±tapurej±tesu ekeko paccayo na an±gato hoti, atha kho ±gatov±ti tesu aññatarapaµikkhepe tepi pañh± parih±yant²ti dassita½ hot²ti. Na hi terasamapannarasamesu pacch±j±tepi paµikkhitte ±h±rindriy±na½ vasena te pañh± labbhanti, atha kho sahaj±tasseva vasen±ti. Idameva cettha lakkhaºanti aµµhanna½ paccay±na½ sabbapaccayasaªg±hakatta½, ukkaµµhavasena pañh±paricchedo, te te paccaye saªgahetv± dassitapaccayaparicchedo, tasmi½ tasmi½ paccaye paµikkhitte tassa tassa pañhassa parih±n±parih±n²ti eta½ sabba½ sandh±ya vuttanti daµµhabba½. Teneva “imin± lakkhaºen±”ti vutta½.
Tatr±ti pabhedaparih±n²su. T²hi paccayehi ek³nav²sati paccay± dassit±ti “nahetupaccay±”ti ettha labbham±napaccaye sandh±ya vutta½. Aya½ pana paccayuddh±ro sabbapaccan²yassa s±dh±raºalakkhaºavasena vutto, na “nahetupaccay±”ti ettheva labbham±napaccayadassanavasena. Evañca katv± hetudukapañh±v±rapaccan²ye “hetudhammo hetussa dhammassa ±rammaºapaccayena paccayo, sahaj±tapaccayena paccayo, upanissayapaccayena paccayo”ti (paµµh±. 3.1.43) vutta½, aññath± “nahetupaccay±”ti ettha labbham±napaccayadassane “sahaj±tapaccayena paccayo”ti na vattabba½ siy±, tasm± idh±pi sabbalabbham±napaccayasaªgahavasena paccayuddh±rassa vuttatt± t²hi paccayehi v²sati paccay± dassit±ti daµµhabb±. Ya½ vutta½ “tatr±ya½ vitth±rakath±”ti, tatra pabhede vitth±rakatha½ vatv± parih±n²ya½ dassento “tasmi½ pana paccaye…pe… te parato vakkh±m±”ti ±ha.
528. Tath± akusal±dikesupi cat³su pañhesu tehi tehi paccayehi te teyeva paccay± dassit±ti kusal±dikesu dassitehi aññesa½ abh±va½ sandh±ya vuttanti veditabba½. Na hi “akusalo dhammo kusalassa dhammass±”ti ettha dv²hi paccayehi tayo paccay± dassit±, atha kho dveyeva, aby±katassapi akusalo ±rammaº±dhipatipaccayo na hot²ti.
530. Sahaj±tapaccay± pana na honti vatthumissakatt±ti asahaj±tapaccayena vatthun± sahaj±tapaccayabh±vena gahitatt± tena saddhi½ sahaj±tapaccay± na hont²ti dasseti, na pana suddh±na½ sahaj±tapaccayabh±va½ niv±reti. Vatthun± pana saddhi½ yena nissay±din± paccay± honti, tameva nissay±di½ visesetu½ sahaj±tanti vuttanti dassento “tasm± tesan”ti-±dim±ha.
Imasmi½ pana paccayuddh±re ±rammaºa-upanissayakamma-atthipaccayesu cat³su sabbapaccaye saªgaºhitv± kasm± tesa½ vasena paccayuddh±ro na katoti? Missak±missakassa atthipaccayavibh±gassa duviññeyyatt±. Na hi “avibh±gena atthipaccayena paccayo”ti vutte sakk± viññ±tu½ “ki½ suddhena sahaj±ta-atthipaccayena purej±tapacch±j±t±h±rindriya-atthipaccayena v±, atha sahaj±tapurej±tamissakena pacch±j±t±h±ramissakena pacch±j±tindriyamissakena v±”ti. Atthipaccayavisesesu pana sahaj±t±d²su sar³pato vuccam±nesu yattha suddh±na½ sahaj±t±d²na½ paccayabh±vo, tattha “sahaj±tapaccayena paccayo”ti-±din± suddh±na½, yattha ca missak±na½ paccayabh±vo, tattha “sahaj±ta½ purej±tan”ti-±din± missak±na½ gahaºato suviññeyyat± hoti, tasm± atthipaccayavisesadassanattha½ sahaj±t±dayo gahit±, tena ca sabbapaccay±na½ cat³su paccayesu saªgaho dassito hoti.
Kasm± pana sahaj±tapurej±te aggahetv± nissayo, purej±tapacch±j±te aggahetv± vippayutto v± atthipaccayavisesabh±vena na vuttoti? Avattabbatt±, nissayo t±va na vattabbo sahaj±tapurej±t±na½ suddh±na½ missak±nañca nissayapaccayabh±vato vibhajitabbat±ya atthipaccayena avisiµµhatt±, vippayuttapaccayo ca sahaj±tapurej±tapacch±j±tabh±vato atthipaccayo viya visesitabboti so viya na vattabbo.
