Aya½ panettha purimes³ti etesu s±nusayav±r±d²su purimes³ti attho. Atthavises±bh±vato “k±madh±tu½ v± pana upapajjantassa k±madh±tuy± cutassa, r³padh±tu½ v± pana upapajjantassa k±madh±tuy± cutass±”ti evam±d²hi avuccam±ne kathamaya½ yamakadesan± siy±ti? N±ya½ yamakadesan±, purimav±rehi pana yamakavasena desit±na½ anusay±na½ cuti-upapattivasena anusayaµµh±naparicchedadassana½. Yamakadesan±b±hullato pana sabbav±rasamud±yassa anusayayamakanti n±ma½ daµµhabba½. Atha v± paµilomapucch±pi atthavasena labbhanti, atthavises±bh±vato pana na vutt±ti labbham±nat±vasena etiss±pi desan±ya yamakadesanat± veditabb±.
Anur³pa½ k±raºa½ labhitv± uppajjant²ti etena k±raºal±bhe uppatti-arahata½ dasseti. Appah²n± hi anusay± k±raºal±bhe sati uppajjanti. Y±va ca maggena tesa½ anuppatti-arahat± na kat± hoti, t±va te eva½pak±r± ev±ti “anusay±”ti vuccanti. So eva½pak±ro uppajjati-saddena gahito, na khandhayamak±d²su viya uppajjam±nat±. Teneva “yassa k±mar±g±nusayo uppajjati, tassa paµigh±nusayo uppajjat²ti? ¾mant±”ti-±din± uppajjanav±ro anusayav±rena ninn±n±karaºo vibhatto. Anur³pa½ k±raºa½ pana labhitv± ye uppajji½su uppajjam±n± ca, tepi appah²naµµhena th±magat± ahesu½ bhavanti ca. Uppatti-arahat±ya eva ca te uppajji½su uppajjanti ca, na ca at²t±n±gatapaccuppannato aññe uppatti-arah± n±ma atthi, tasm± sabbe at²t±n±gatapaccuppann± k±mar±g±dayo “anusay±”ti vuccanti. Appah²naµµheneva hi anusay±, appah²n± ca at²t±dayo eva, maggassa pana t±dis±na½ anuppatti-arahat±p±danena anusayappah±na½ hot²ti. Appah²n±k±ro n±ma dhamm±k±ro, na dhammo, dhammo eva ca uppajjat²ti imin± adhipp±yen±ha “appah²n±k±ro ca uppajjat²ti vattu½ na yujjat²”ti. Satt±nusay±ti ettha yadi appah²naµµhena sant±ne anusent²ti anusay±, atha kasm± satteva vutt±, nanu satt±nusayato aññesampi kiles±na½ appah²natt± anusayabh±vo ±pajjat²ti ce? N±pajjati, appah²namattasseva anusayabh±vassa avuttatt±. Vuttañhi “anusayoti pana appah²naµµhena th±magatakileso vuccat²”ti (yama. aµµha. anusayayamaka 1), tasm± appah²naµµhena th±magato kilesoyeva anusayo n±m±ti yutta½. Th±magatanti ca aññehi as±dh±raºo sabh±vo daµµhabbo. Tath± hi dhammasabh±vabodhin± tath±gatena imeyeva “anusay±”ti vutt±. Th±magatoti anusayasamaªg²ti attho.
Anusaya-uppajjanav±r±na½ sam±nagatikatt± yath± “anuset²”ti vacana½ appah²n±k±rad²paka½, eva½ “uppajjat²”ti vacana½ siy±ti uppajjanav±rena “uppajjat²”ti vacanassa avuttat± sakk± vattunti ce? Ta½ na, vacanatthavisesena ta½dvayassa vuttatt±. “Anur³pa½ k±raºa½ labhitv± uppajjat²”ti hi etasmi½ atthe avisiµµhepi “anuset²”ti vacana½ sant±ne anusayitata½ th±magatabh±va½ d²peti. Yadi tameva “uppajjat²”ti vacana½ d²peyya, kassaci visesassa abh±v± uppajjanav±ro na vattabbo siy±, “uppajjat²”ti vacana½ pana uppattiyogga½ d²peti. Kasm±? Uppajjanav±rena uppattiyoggassa dassitatt±, anusayasaddassa sabbad± vijjam±n±na½ aparinipphannasayanatthat±ya niv±raºattha½ uppatti-arahat±ya th±magatabh±vasaªkh±tassa yath±dhippetasayanatthassa dassanattha½ “anusent²ti anur³pa½ k±raºa½ labhitv± uppajjant²”ti ya½ uppattiyoggavacana½ vutta½, ta½ suvuttamev±ti adhipp±yo. Tampi suvuttameva imin± tantippam±ºen±ti sambandho. Tantittayenapi hi cittasampayuttat± d²pit± hoti.
