Dh±tukath±pakaraºa½ desento bhagav± yasmi½ samaye desesi, ta½ samaya½ dassetu½, vibhaªg±nantara½ desitassa pakaraºassa dh±tukath±bh±va½ dassetu½ v± “aµµh±rasah²”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha balavidhamanavisay±tikkamanavasena devaputtam±rassa, appavattikaraºavasena kiles±bhisaªkh±ram±r±na½, samudayappah±napariññ±vasena khandham±rassa, maccum±rassa ca bodhim³le eva bhañjitatt± par³panissayarahita½ niratisaya½ ta½ bhañjana½ up±d±ya bhagav± eva “m±rabhañjano”ti thomito. Tattha m±re abhañjesi, m±rabhañjana½ v± etassa, na parar±j±dibhañjananti m±rabhañjano. Mah±vikkanto mah±v²riyoti mah±v²ro.
Khandh±dayo araºant± dhamm± sabh±vaµµhena dh±tuyo, abhidhammakath±dhiµµh±naµµhena v±ti katv± tesa½ kathanato imassa pakaraºassa dh±tukath±ti adhivacana½. Yadipi aññesu ca pakaraºesu te sabh±v± kathit±, ettha pana tesa½ sabbesa½ saªgah±saªgah±d²su cuddasasu nayesu ekekasmi½ kathitatt± s±tisaya½ kathananti idameva eva½n±maka½. Ekadesakathanameva hi aññattha katanti. Khandh±yatanadh±t³hi v± khandh±d²na½ araºant±na½ saªgah±saªgah±dayo nay± vutt±ti tattha mah±visay±na½ dh±t³na½ vasena dh±t³hi kath± dh±tukath±ti eva½ assa n±ma½ vuttanti veditabba½. Dvidh± tidh± chadh± aµµh±rasadh±ti anekadh± dh±tubheda½ pak±ses²ti dh±tubhedappak±sanoti. Tassatthanti tass± dh±tukath±ya attha½. A-k±re ±-k±rassa lopo daµµhabbo. “Ya½ dh±tukathan”ti v± ettha pakaraºanti vacanaseso sattanna½ pakaraº±na½ kamena vaººan±ya pavattatt±ti tena yojana½ katv± tassa pakaraºassa attha½ tassatthanti a-k±ralopo v±. Tanti ta½ d²pana½ suº±tha, ta½ v± attha½ ta½d²panavacanasavanena upadh±reth±ti attho. Sam±hit±ti n±n±kiccehi avikkhittacitt±, attano citte ±hit±ti v± attho.
