Pajjitabb±va iddhi vutt±, na ca ijjhant² pajjitabb± ca iddhi pajjanakaraºena p±dena sam±n±dhikaraº± hot²ti “paµhamenatthena iddhi eva p±do iddhip±do”ti na sakk± vattu½, tath± iddhikiriy±karaºena s±dhetabb± ca vuddhisaªkh±t± iddhi pajjanakiriy±karaºena pajjitabb±ti dvinna½ karaº±na½ na asam±n±dhikaraºat± sambhavat²ti “dutiyenatthena iddhiy± p±do iddhip±do”ti ca na sakk± vattu½, tasm± paµhamenatthena iddhiy± p±do iddhip±do, dutiyenatthena iddhi eva p±do iddhip±doti eva½ yojan± yujjati.
“Chanda½ ce…pe… aya½ vuccati chandasam±dh²”ti im±ya p±¼iy± chand±dhipati sam±dhi chandasam±dh²ti adhipati-saddalopa½ katv± sam±so vuttoti viññ±yati, adhipati-saddatthadassanavasena pana “chandahetuko chand±dhiko v± sam±dhi chandasam±dh²”ti aµµhakath±ya½ vuttanti veditabba½. Padh±nabh³t±ti v²riyabh³t±ti keci vadanti. Saªkhatasaªkh±r±dinivattanatthañhi padh±naggahaºanti. Atha v± ta½ ta½ visesa½ saªkharot²ti saªkh±ro, sabba½ v²riya½. Tattha catukiccas±dhakato aññassa nivattanattha½ padh±naggahaºanti padh±nabh³t± seµµhabh³t±ti attho. Catubbidhassa pana v²riyassa adhippetatt± bahuvacananiddeso kato. Adhiµµh±naµµhen±ti duvidhatth±yapi iddhiy± adhiµµh±natthena. P±dabh³tanti imin± visu½ sam±sayojan±vasena pana yo pubbe iddhip±dattho p±da-saddassa up±yatthata½ gahetv± yath±yutto vutto, so vakkham±n±na½ paµil±bhapubbabh±g±na½ kattukaraºiddhibh±va½, uttarac³¼abh±jan²ye v± vuttehi chand±d²hi iddhip±dehi s±dhetabb±ya iddhiy± kattiddhibh±va½, chand±d²nañca karaºiddhibh±va½ sandh±ya vuttoti veditabbo.
V²riyiddhip±daniddese “v²riyasam±dhipadh±nasaªkh±rasamann±gatan”ti dvikkhattu½ v²riya½ ±gata½. Tattha purima½ sam±dhivisesana½ “v²riy±dhipati sam±dhi v²riyasam±dh²”ti, dutiya½ samann±gamaªgadassana½. Dveyeva hi sabbattha samann±gamaªg±ni sam±dhi padh±nasaªkh±ro ca, chand±dayo sam±dhivisesan±ni, padh±nasaªkh±ro pana padh±navacaneneva visesito, na chand±d²h²ti na idha v²riy±dhipatit± padh±nasaªkh±rassa vutt± hoti. V²riyañca sam±dhi½ visesetv± µhitameva samann±gamaªgavasena padh±nasaªkh±ravacanena vuttanti n±pi dv²hi v²riyehi samann±gamo vutto hot²ti. Yasm± pana chand±d²hi visiµµho sam±dhi, tath± visiµµheneva ca tena sampayutto padh±nasaªkh±ro sesadhamm± ca, tasm± sam±dhivisesan±na½ vasena catt±ro iddhip±d± vutt±. Visesanabh±vo ca chand±d²na½ ta½ta½avassayanavasena hot²ti “chandasam±dhi…pe… iddhip±dan”ti ettha nissayatthepi p±da-sadde up±yatthena chand±d²na½ iddhip±dat± vutt± hoti. 433. Rathadhureti rathassa purato. H²naj±tiko caº¹±lo upaµµh±n±diguºayogepi sen±patiµµh±n±d²ni na labhat²ti ±ha “j±ti½ sodhetv±…pe… j±ti½ avassayat²”ti. Amantan²yoti hit±hitamantane na araho.
Raµµhap±latthero chande sati katha½ n±nuj±nissant²ti sattapi bhatt±ni abhuñjitv± m±t±pitaro anuj±n±petv± pabbajitv± chandameva avass±ya lokuttaradhamma½ nibbattes²ti ±ha “raµµhap±latthero viy±”ti.
Moghar±jatthero v²ma½sa½ avassay²ti tassa bhagav± “suññato loka½ avekkhass³”ti (su. ni. 1125) suññat±katha½ kathesi, paññ±nissitam±naniggahatthañca dvikkhattu½ pucchito pañha½ na kathesi. Abhedatoti chand±dike tayo tayo dhamme sampiº¹etv±, iddhi-iddhip±de amissetv± v± kathananti attho. Tattha chandav²riy±dayo visesena ijjhanti et±y±ti iddh²ti vuccanti, ijjhat²ti iddh²ti avisesena sam±dhipadh±nasaªkh±r±p²ti.
Chandiddhip±dasam±dhiddhip±d±dayo visiµµh±, p±do sabbiddh²na½ s±dh±raºatt± avisiµµho, tasm± visiµµhesveva pavesa½ avatv± avisiµµhe ca pavesa½ vattu½ yuttanti dassetu½ sabbattha “p±de patiµµh±tipi vattu½ vaµµat²”ti ±ha. Ime hi tayo…pe… na vin±, tasm± ses± sampayuttak± catt±ro khandh± tesa½ tiººa½ ijjhanena iddhi n±ma bhaveyyu½, na attano sabh±ven±ti te iddhip±d± eva honti, na iddh²ti evamida½ purimassa k±raºabh±vena vuttanti veditabba½. Atha v± tiººa½ iddhit± iddhip±dat± ca vutt±, ses±nañca iddhip±dat±va, ta½ sabba½ s±dhetu½ “ime hi tayo…pe… na vin±”ti ±ha. Tena yasm± ijjhanti, tasm± iddhi. Ijjham±n± ca yasm± sampayuttakehi saheva ijjhanti, na vin±, tasm± sampayuttak± iddhip±d±, tadantogadhatt± pana te tayo dhamm± iddhip±d±pi hont²ti dasseti. Sampayuttak±nampi pana khandh±na½ iddhibh±vapariy±yo atth²ti dassetu½ “sampayuttak± pan±”ti-±dim±ha. Cat³su khandhesu ekadesassa iddhit±, catunnampi “iddhiy± p±do iddhip±do”ti imin± atthena iddhip±dat±, punapi catunna½ khandh±na½ “iddhi eva p±do iddhip±do”ti imin± atthena iddhip±dat± ca dassit±, na aññass±ti katv± ±ha “na aññassa kassaci adhivacanan”ti. Imin± “iddhi n±ma anipphann±”ti ida½ v±da½ paµisedheti.
Paµil±bhapubbabh±g±na½ paµil±bhasseva ca iddhi-iddhip±dat±vacana½ apubbanti katv± pucchati “kenaµµhena iddhi, kenaµµhena p±do”ti. Paµil±bho pubbabh±go c±ti vacanaseso. Up±yo ca up±yabh±veneva attano phalassa patiµµh± hot²ti ±ha “patiµµh±naµµheneva p±do”ti.
