Tattha sabbesa½ gocar²k±tabbattepi “k±nic²”ti vacana½ avipassitabb±na½ bahul²manasikaraºena an±sevan²yatt±. Paccavekkhaº±mattameva hi tesu hot²ti. “Tassa ta½ magga½ ±sevato”ti-±d²su (a. ni. 4.170) bh±van± “±sevan±”ti vutt±ti bh±vetabb±ni saddh±d²ni sandh±y±ha “k±nici bh±van±sevan±y±”ti. ¾dhipacca½ indriyapaccayabh±vo, asati ca indriyapaccayabh±ve itthipurisindriy±na½ attano paccayavasena pavattam±nehi ta½sahitasant±ne aññ±k±rena anuppajjam±nehi liªg±d²hi anuvattan²yabh±vo, imasmiñcatthe indanti paramissariya½ karonticceva indriy±ni. Cakkh±d²su dassitena nayena aññesañca tadanuvatt²su ±dhipacca½ yath±raha½ yojetabba½.
Heµµh±ti aµµhas±liniya½. Amoho eva, na visu½ catt±ro dhamm±, tasm± amohassa paññindriyapade vibh±vit±ni lakkhaº±d²ni tesañca veditabb±n²ti adhipp±yo. Ses±ni aµµhas±liniya½ lakkhaº±d²hi sar³peneva ±gat±ni. Nanu ca sukhindriyadukkhindriy±na½ tattha lakkhaº±d²ni na vutt±n²ti? Kiñc±pi na vutt±ni, somanassadomanassindriy±na½ pana vuttalakkhaº±divasena viññeyyato etesampi vutt±neva honti. Katha½? Iµµhaphoµµhabb±nubhavanalakkhaºa½ sukhindriya½, iµµh±k±rasambhogarasa½, k±yikass±dapaccupaµµh±na½, k±yindriyapadaµµh±na½ Aniµµhaphoµµhabb±nubhavanalakkhaºa½ dukkhindriya½, aniµµh±k±rasambhogarasa½, k±yik±b±dhapaccupaµµh±na½, k±yindriyapadaµµh±nanti. Ettha ca iµµh±niµµh±k±r±nameva ±rammaº±na½ sambhogarasat± veditabb±, na vipar²tepi iµµh±k±rena aniµµh±k±rena ca sambhogarasat±ti.
Satt±na½ ariyabh³mipaµil±bho bhagavato desan±ya s±dh±raºa½ padh±nañca payojananti ±ha “ajjhattadhamma½ pariññ±y±”ti-±di. Aµµhakath±ya½ itthipurisindriy±nantara½ j²vitindriyadesanakkamo vutto, so indriyayamakadesan±ya sameti. Idha pana indriyavibhaªge manindriy±nantara½ j²vitindriya½ vutta½, ta½ purimapacchim±na½ ajjhattikab±hir±na½ anup±lakattena tesa½ majjhe vuttanti veditabba½. Yañca kiñci vedayita½, sabba½ ta½ dukkha½. Y±va ca duvidhattabh±v±nup±lakassa j²vitindriyassa pavatti, t±va dukkhabh³t±na½ etesa½ vedayit±na½ anivatt²ti ñ±panattha½. Tena ca cakkh±d²na½ dukkh±nubandhat±ya pariññeyyata½ ñ±peti. Tato anantara½ bh±vetabbatt±ti bh±van±maggasampayutta½ aññindriya½ sandh±ya vutta½. Dassan±nantar± hi bh±van±ti.
Satipi purej±t±dipaccayabh±ve indriyapaccayabh±vena s±dhetabbameva kicca½ “kiccan”ti ±ha tassa anaññas±dh±raºatt± indriyakath±ya ca pavattatt±. Pubbaªgamabh±vena manindriyassa vasavatt±pana½ hoti, n±ññesa½. Ta½sampayutt±nipi hi indriy±ni s±dhetabbabh³t±neva attano attano indriyakicca½ s±dhenti cetasikatt±ti. “Sabbattha ca indriyapaccayabh±vena s±dhetabban”ti aya½ adhik±ro anuvattat²ti daµµhabbo. Anupp±dane anupatthambhe ca tappaccay±na½ tappavattane nimittabh±vo anuvidh±na½. Ch±detv± pharitv± uppajjam±n± sukhadukkhavedan± sahaj±te abhibhavitv± sayameva p±kaµ± hoti, sahaj±t± ca tabbasena sukhadukkhabh±vappatt± viy±ti ±ha “yath±saka½ o¼±rik±k±r±nup±panan”ti. Asantassa apaº²tassapi akusalatabbip±k±disampayuttassa majjhatt±k±r±nup±pana½ yojetabba½, sam±naj±tiya½ v± sukhadukkhehi santapaº²t±k±r±nup±panañca. Pasannapaggahita-upaµµhitasam±hitadassan±k±r±nup±pana½ yath±kkama½ saddh±d²na½. ¾di-saddena uddhambh±giyasa½yojan±ni gahit±ni, maggasampayuttasseva ca indriyassa kicca½ dassita½, teneva phalasampayuttassa ta½ta½sa½yojan±na½yeva paµippassaddhipah±nakiccat± dassit± hot²ti. Sabbakatakicca½ aññ±t±vindriya½ aññassa k±tabbassa abh±v± amat±bhimukhameva tabbh±vapaccayo ca hoti, na itar±ni viya kiccantarapasutañca. Ten±ha “amat±bhimukhabh±vapaccayat± c±”ti.

Eva½ santep²ti satipi sabbasaªg±hakatte v²riyindriyapad±d²hi saªgahetabb±ni kusal±kusalav²riy±d²ni, cakkhundriyapad±d²hi saªgahetabb±ni k±lapuggalapaccay±dibhedena bhinn±ni cakkh±d²ni saªgaºhanticceva sabbasaªg±hak±ni, na yass± bh³miy± y±ni na vijjanti, tesa½ saªg±hakatt±ti attho. Tena ca avisesitatt± sabbesa½ sabbabh³mikattagahaºappasaªge ta½nivattanena sabbasaªg±hakavacana½ avijjam±nassa saªg±hakattad²paka½ na hot²ti dasseti.
