Api c±ya½ abh±vav±d² eva½ pucchitabbo– yadi kiles±bh±vo nibb±na½, sv±yamabh±vo eko v± siy± aneko v±? Yadi eko, ekeneva maggena kato sacchikato ca hot²ti uparim±na½ magg±na½ niratthakat± ±pajjati. Na hi eka½ anekehi kammappavattehi s±dhetabba½ diµµha½. Atha siy± ekova so kiles±bh±vo, na pana maggehi k±tabbo, atha kho sacchik±tabboti. Eva½ sati suµµhutara½ maggassa niratthakat± ±pajjati kiles±na½ appah±nato. Akaronto ca maggo kiles±bh±va½ tassa sacchikiriy±ya kamattha½ s±dheyya, atha magg±na½ sa½yojanattayappah±n±dipaµiniyatakiccat±ya pah±yakavibh±gena kiles±bh±vabhedo, eva½ sati vin± sabh±vabheda½ bahubh±vo natth²ti bahubh±vat±padesenassa sasabh±vat± ±pann±. Bahubh±ve ca sasabh±vat± siddh±. Yadipi siy± yath± bahubh±vo sasabh±vata½, eva½ s±maññena sasabh±vat± bahubh±va½ na byabhicareyy±ti sasabh±vapakkhepi nibb±nassa bahubh±vo ±pajjat²ti? Ta½ na, kasm±? Tath± s±maññ±bhedato. Na hi eva½ vattu½ labbh± yath± kharabh±vo sasabh±vata½ na byabhicarati, eva½ sasabh±vat±pi kharabh±va½ na byabhicareyy±ti. Evañhi sati tadaññasabbadhamm±bh±vappasaªgo siy±, tasm± bahubh±vo sasabh±vat±pekkho, na sasabh±vat± bahubh±v±pekkh±ti na sasabh±vassa nibb±nassa bahubh±v±patti. “Ekañhi sacca½ na dut²yamatthi (su. ni. 890; mah±ni. 119), ek± niµµh± na puthuniµµh±”ti-±divacanato.
Api cettha kiles±bh±vo n±ma r±g±d²na½ samucchedo accantappah±na½ anupp±danirodho. Tassa ca ekatte ekeneva maggena s±dhetabbat± kiccavises±bh±vatoti dassan±dimaggavibh±go na siy±. Icchito ca so odhisova kiles±na½ pah±tabbatt±. So ca maggavibh±go saddh±d²na½ indriy±na½ n±titikkhatikkhatikkhataratikkhatamabh±vena ekasmimpi samucchedappah±nayogyabh±ve sacchikiriy±visesena hot²ti nibb±nassa sasabh±vat±yayeva yutto. Abh±vo pana kiles±na½ maggena k±tabbo siy± “m± maggassa niratthakat± ahos²”ti, na sacchik±tabbo. Ko hi tassa sabh±vo, yo tena sacchikariyeyya. So ca kiles±bh±vo ekeneva maggena s±dhetabbo siy±, na cat³hi “m± catubh±vanibb±nat±patti, nibb±navises±patti ca ahos²”ti. Tato dassan±dimaggavibh±go na siy±ti sabba½ ±vattati.
Yadi ca abh±vo bh±vassa siy±ti tassa bh±vadhammat± icchit±, eva½ sati yath± saªkhatadhammassa tassa jar±maraº±d²na½ viya saªkhatadhammat±pi ±pann±, eva½ bah³na½ kiles±na½ dhammassa tassa bahubh±v±dippasaªgopi dunniv±roti ata½sabh±vassa asaªkhatassekassa sasabh±vassa nibb±nabh±vo veditabbo.
Yadi eva½ kasm± “r±gakkhayo dosakkhayo mohakkhayo”ti (sa½. ni. 4.315, 330) vuttanti? Khayena adhigantabbatt±. Khayo hi ariyamaggo. Yath±ha “khaye ñ±ºa½, anupp±de ñ±ºan”ti (dha. sa. dukam±tik± 142).
