Tattha “paµhama½ kalala½ hoti, kalal± hoti abbudan”ti (sa½. ni. 1.235) evam±di uppattikkamo. “Dassanena pah±tabb± dhamm±, bh±van±ya pah±tabb± dhamm±”ti (dha. sa. tikam±tik± 8) evam±di pah±nakkamo. “S²lavisuddhi, cittavisuddh²”ti (ma. ni. 1.259; paµi. ma. 3.41) evam±di paµipattikkamo. “K±m±vacar± r³p±vacar±”ti evam±di bh³mikkamo. “Catt±ro satipaµµh±n±, catt±ro sammappadh±n±”ti (d². ni. 3.145) v± “d±nakatha½ s²lakathan”ti (ma. ni. 2.69; d². ni. 1.298) v± evam±di desan±kkamo. Abhedena hi ya½ pañcasu khandhesu attagg±hapatita½ veneyyajana½ sam³haghanavinibbhogadassanena attagg±hato mocetuk±mo bhagav± hitak±mo tassa janassa sukhaggahaºattha½ cakkhu-±d²nampi visayabh³ta½ o¼±rika½ paµhama½ r³pakkhandha½ desesi. Tato iµµh±niµµhar³pasa½vedita½ vedana½, ya½ vedayati ta½ sañj±n±t²ti eva½ vedan±visayassa ±k±ragg±hika½ sañña½, saññ±vasena abhisaªkh±rake saªkh±re, tesa½ vedan±d²na½ nissaya½ adhipatibh³tañca viññ±ºanti eva½ t±va ‘kamato’ vinicchayanayo viññ±tabbo.
‘Visesato’ti khandh±nañca up±d±nakkhandh±nañca visesato. Ko pana tesa½ viseso? Khandh± t±va avisesato vutt±, up±d±nakkhandh± s±sava-up±d±n²yabh±vena visesetv±. Yath±ha–
“Pañca, bhikkhave, khandhe desess±mi pañcup±d±nakkhandhe ca, ta½ suº±tha. Katame ca, bhikkhave, pañcakkhandh±? Ya½ kiñci, bhikkhave, r³pa½ at²t±n±gatapaccuppanna½…pe… santike v±– aya½ vuccati, r³pakkhandho. Y± k±ci vedan±…pe… y± k±ci saññ±…pe… ye keci saªkh±r±…pe… ya½ kiñci viññ±ºa½ …pe… santike v±– aya½ vuccati, viññ±ºakkhandho. Ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, pañcakkhandh±. Katame ca, bhikkhave, pañcup±d±nakkhandh±? Ya½ kiñci, bhikkhave, r³pa½…pe… santike v± s±sava½ up±d±niya½– aya½ vuccati, r³p³p±d±nakkhandho. Y± k±ci vedan±…pe… ya½ kiñci viññ±ºa½…pe… santike v± s±sava½ up±d±niya½– aya½ vuccati, bhikkhave, viññ±ºup±d±nakkhandho. Ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, pañcup±d±nakkhandh±”ti (sa½. ni. 3.48).
Ettha ca yath± vedan±dayo an±sav±pi s±sav±pi atthi, na eva½ r³pa½. Yasm± panassa r±saµµhena khandhabh±vo yujjati tasm± khandhesu vutta½. Yasm± r±saµµhena ca s±savaµµhena ca up±d±nakkhandhabh±vo yujjati tasm± up±d±nakkhandhesu vutta½. Vedan±dayo pana an±sav±va khandhesu vutt±, s±sav± up±d±nakkhandhesu. ‘Up±d±nakkhandh±’ti ettha ca up±d±nagocar± khandh± up±d±nakkhandh±ti evamattho daµµhabbo. Idha pana sabbepete ekajjha½ katv± khandh±ti adhippet±.
‘An³n±dhikato’ti kasm± pana bhagavat± pañceva khandh± vutt± an³n± anadhik±ti? Sabbasaªkhatasabh±gekasaªgahato, attattaniyagg±havatthussa etapparamato, aññesañca tadavarodhato. Anekappabhedesu hi saªkhatadhammesu sabh±gavasena saªgayham±nesu r³pa½ r³pasabh±gasaªgahavasena eko khandho hoti, vedan± vedan±sabh±gasaªgahavasena eko khandho hoti. Esa nayo saññ±d²supi. Tasm± sabbasaªkhatasabh±gasaªgahato pañceva vutt±. Etaparamañceta½ attattaniyagg±havatthu yadida½ r³p±dayo pañca. Vuttañheta½– “r³pe kho, bhikkhave, sati r³pa½ up±d±ya r³pa½ abhinivissa eva½ diµµhi uppajjati– ‘eta½ mama, esohamasmi, eso me att±’ti (sa½. ni. 3.207). Vedan±ya… saññ±ya… saªkh±resu…. Viññ±ºe sati viññ±ºa½ up±d±ya viññ±ºa½ abhinivissa eva½ diµµhi uppajjati– ‘eta½ mama, esohamasmi, eso me att±”’ti. Tasm± attattaniyagg±havatthussa etaparamatopi pañceva vutt±. Yepi caññe s²l±dayo pañca dhammakkhandh± vutt±, tepi saªkh±rakkhandhapariy±pannatt± ettheva avarodha½ gacchanti. Tasm± aññesa½ tadavarodhatopi pañceva vutt±ti. Eva½ ‘an³n±dhikato’ vinicchayanayo viññ±tabbo.
‘Upam±to’ti ettha hi gil±nas±l³pamo r³pup±d±nakkhandho gil±n³pamassa viññ±ºup±d±nakkhandhassa vatthudv±r±rammaºavasena niv±sanaµµh±nato, gelaññ³pamo vedanup±d±nakkhandho ±b±dhakatt±, gelaññasamuµµh±n³pamo saññup±d±nakkhandho k±masaññ±divasena r±g±disampayuttavedan±sambhav±, asapp±yasevan³pamo saªkh±rup±d±nakkhandho vedan±gelaññassa nid±natt±. “Vedana½ vedanatt±ya saªkhatamabhisaªkharont²”ti (sa½. ni. 3.79) hi vutta½. Tath± “akusalassa kammassa katatt± upacitatt± vip±ka½ k±yaviññ±ºa½ uppanna½ hoti dukkhasahagatan”ti (dha. sa. 556). Gil±n³pamo viññ±ºup±d±nakkhandho vedan±gelaññena aparimuttatt±. Apica c±rakak±raºa-apar±dhak±raºak±raka-apar±dhik³pam± ete bh±janabhojanabyañjanaparivesakabhuñjak³pam± c±ti, eva½ ‘upam±to’ vinicchayanayo viññ±tabbo.
‘Daµµhabbato dvidh±’ti saªkhepato vitth±rato c±ti eva½ dvidh± daµµhabbato pettha vinicchayanayo viññ±tabbo. Saªkhepato hi pañcup±d±nakkhandh± ±sivis³pame (sa½. ni. 4.238) vuttanayena ukkhitt±sikapaccatthikato, bh±rasuttavasena (sa½. ni. 3.22) bh±rato, khajjan²yapariy±yavasena (sa½. ni. 3.79) kh±dakato, yamakasuttavasena (sa½. ni. 3.85) aniccadukkh±nattasaªkhatavadhakato daµµhabb±.

Yath± ca so ‘imin± patta½ v± th±laka½ v± kariss±m²’ti gahetu½ na sakk±, gahitopi tamattha½ na s±dheti bhijjateva; eva½ r³pampi ‘niccan’ti v± ‘dhuvan’ti v± ‘ahan’ti v± ‘maman’ti v± gahetu½ na sakk±, gahitampi na tath± tiµµhati, anicca½ dukkha½ anatt± asubhaññeva hot²ti. Eva½ agayhupagat±yapi vedan± ‘pubbu¼asadis±’. Viññ±ºampi as±rakaµµhena ‘m±y±sadisa½’. Tath± agayhupagaµµhena. Yath± ca m±y± ittar± lahupaccupaµµh±n±, eva½ viññ±ºa½. Tañhi tatopi ittaratarañceva lahupaccupaµµh±natarañca. Teneva hi cittena puriso ±gato viya, gato viya, µhito viya, nisinno viya hoti. Aññadeva c±gamanak±le citta½, añña½ gamanak±l±d²su. Evampi viññ±ºa½ m±y±sadisa½. M±y± ca mah±jana½ vañceti, ya½ kiñcideva ‘ida½ suvaººa½ rajata½ mutt±’tipi gah±peti. Viññ±ºampi mah±jana½ vañceti, teneva cittena ±gacchanta½ viya, gacchanta½ viya, µhita½ viya, nisinna½ viya katv± g±h±peti. Aññadeva ca ±gamane citta½, añña½ gaman±d²su. Evampi viññ±ºa½ m±y±sadisa½. ‘Eva½ passantassatthasiddhito’ti evañca saªkhepavitth±ravasena dvidh± passato y± atthasiddhi hoti, tatopi vinicchayanayo viññ±tabbo, seyyathida½– saªkhepato t±va pañcup±d±nakkhandhesu ukkhitt±sikapaccatthik±dibh±vena passanto khandhehi na vihaññati. Vitth±rato pana r³p±d²ni pheºapiº¹±disadisabh±vena passanto na as±resu s±radass² hoti.
