Paµhamav±re panettha ekacittakkhaºapariy±pannadhammasaªgahaºato sabbaµµh±nas±dh±raºato ca r³pa½ cha¹¹etv± “viññ±ºapaccay± n±man”tveva vutta½. Tañhi ekacittakkhaºapariy±panna½ sabbaµµh±nas±dh±raºañca, na katthaci viññ±ºappavattiµµh±ne na pavattati. Sok±dayo pana yasm± sabbe ekacittakkhaºe na sambhavanti, sabbasmiñca cittappavattiµµh±ne ceva citte ca na pavattanti, tasm± na gahit±. J±tijar±maraº±ni pana acittakkhaºamatt±nipi sam±n±ni cittakkhaºe antogadhatt± aªgaparip³raºattha½ gahit±ni. Eva½ t±vettha ‘ya½ aññath± vutta½. Yañca avutta½’ ta½ veditabba½.
Ya½ panettha ito paresu v±resu vutta½, tassattho vuttanayeneva veditabbo. Yasmi½ yasmi½ pana v±re yo yo viseso ±gato, ta½ ta½ tattha tattheva pak±sayiss±ma.
‘Ya½ yath± paccayo yass±’ti ettha pana saªkh±rassa avijj± sampayuttadhammas±dh±raºehi sahaj±ta-aññamaññanissayasampayutta-atthi-avigatapaccayehi chahi hetupaccayena c±ti sattadh± paccayo. Tattha yasm± parato hetucatukk±d²ni t²ºi catukk±ni avigatasampayutta-aññamaññapaccayavasena vutt±ni, tasm± idha t±ni apanetv± avases±na½ vasena avijj± saªkh±rassa catudh± paccayoti veditabbo.
Saªkh±ro viññ±ºassa s±dh±raºehi chahi, kamm±h±rapaccayehi c±ti aµµhadh± paccayo. Idha pana teyeva tayo apanetv± pañcadh±. Viññ±ºa½ n±massa s±dh±raºehi chahi, indriy±h±r±dhipat²hi c±ti navadh±. Idha pana tayo apanetv± chadh±. N±ma½ chaµµh±yatanassa s±dh±raºehi chahi. Kiñci panettha adhipatipaccayena, kiñci ±h±rapaccay±d²h²ti anekadh±. Idha pana teyeva tayo apanetv± tidh± catudh± pañcadh± v±. Chaµµh±yatana½ phassassa yath± viññ±ºa½ n±massa. Eva½ phasso vedan±ya s±dh±raºehi chahi ±h±rapaccayena c±ti sattadh±. Ye pana eva½ vadanti– “imasmi½ catukke sabbesampi saªkh±r±d²na½ avijj±dayo sahaj±tapaccayena paccay± honti. Sahaj±tapaccayavaseneva hi paµhamav±ro ±raddho”ti, te bhav±d²na½ tath± abh±va½ sesapaccay±nañca sambhava½ dassetv± paµikkhipitabb±. Na hi bhavo j±tiy± sahaj±tapaccayo hoti, na j±ti jar±maraºassa. Ye cetesa½ saªkhar±d²na½ avases± paccay± vutt±, tepi sambhavantiyeva. Tasm± na sakk± cha¹¹etunti. Eva½ t±va paµhamav±re ya½ yattha aññath± vutta½, avuttañc±pi ya½ yahi½, yañca yath± yassa paccayo hoti, ta½ veditabba½. Dutiyav±r±d²supi eseva nayo.
Aya½ pana viseso– dutiyav±re “n±mapaccay± phasso”ti vatv± sa¼±yatanaµµh±ne na kiñci vutta½, ta½ kimatthanti? Paccayavisesadassanatthañceva mah±nid±nadesan±saªgahatthañca. Phassassa hi na kevalañca chaµµh±yatanameva paccayo, vedan±kkhandh±dayo pana tayo khandh±pi paccay±yeva. Mah±nid±nasuttante cassa “atthi idappaccay± phassoti iti puµµhena sat±, ±nanda, atth²tissa vacan²ya½. Ki½ paccay± phassoti? Iti ce vadeyya, n±mapaccay± phassoti iccassa vacan²yan”ti (d². ni. 2.96). Eva½ sa¼±yatana½ cha¹¹etv± ek±dasaªgiko paµiccasamupp±do vutto. Tasm± imassa paccayavisesassa dassanattha½ imiss± ca mah±nid±nasuttantadesan±ya pariggahattha½ dutiyav±re “n±mapaccay± phasso”ti vatv± sa¼±yatanaµµh±ne na kiñci vuttanti. Esa t±va dutiyav±re viseso.
Tatiyav±re pana “viññ±ºapaccay± n±mar³pan”ti suttantabh±jan²ye ±gatameva catutthamaªga½ vutta½, ta½ ekacittakkhaºikatt± paccay±k±rassa idha ayuttanti ce? Ta½ n±yutta½. Kasm±? Sakakkhaºe paccayabh±vato. Sacepi hi tattha r³pa½ cittakkhaºato uddha½ tiµµhati, tath±pissa ta½ viññ±ºa½ sakakkhaºe paccayo hoti. Katha½? Purej±tassa t±va cittasamuµµh±nassa aññassa v± pacch±j±tapaccayena. Vuttañceta½ “pacch±j±t± cittacetasik± dhamm± purej±tassa imassa k±yassa pacch±j±tapaccayena paccayo”ti (paµµh±. 1.1.11). Sahaj±tassa pana cittasamuµµh±nassa nissayapaccayena paccayo. Yath±ha “cittacetasik± dhamm± cittasamuµµh±n±na½ r³p±na½ nissayapaccayena paccayo”ti (paµµh±. 1.1.8).
Yadi eva½, purimav±resu kasm± eva½ na vuttanti R³pappavattidesa½ sandh±ya desitatt±. Ayañhi paccay±k±ro r³pappavattidese k±mabhave gabbhaseyyak±nañceva aparipuºº±yatana-opap±tik±nañca r³p±vacaradev±nañca vasena desito. Tenevettha “n±mar³papaccay± sa¼±yatanan”ti avatv± chaµµh±yatananti vutta½. Tattha n±ma½ heµµh± vuttanayameva. R³pa½ pana hadayar³pa½ veditabba½. Ta½ panetassa chaµµh±yatanassa nissayapaccayena ceva purej±tapaccayena c±ti dvidh± paccayo hot²ti esa tatiyav±re viseso.
Catutthav±ro pana yonivasena opap±tik±na½, ±yatanavasena paripuºº±yatan±na½, bhavavasena k±m±vacarasatt±na½ vasena vutto. Tenevettha “n±mar³papaccay± sa¼±yatanan”ti vutta½. Tattha n±ma½ chaµµh±yatanassa sahaj±t±d²hi, cakkh±yatan±d²na½ pacch±j±tapaccayena. R³pe hadayar³pa½ chaµµh±yatanassa nissayapaccayapurej±tapaccayehi, catt±ri mah±bh³t±ni cakkh±yatan±d²na½ sahaj±tanissaya-atthi-avigatehi. Yasm± panesa ekacittakkhaºiko paccay±k±ro, tasm± ettha sa¼±yatanapaccay±ti avatv± “chaµµh±yatanapaccay± phasso”ti vuttoti aya½ catutthav±re viseso.
Evametesa½ n±n±karaºa½ ñatv± puna sabbesveva tesu visesena paµhamak± dve v±r± ar³pabhave paccay±k±radassanattha½ vutt±ti veditabb±. Ar³pabhavasmiñhi r³pena asammiss±ni paµiccasamupp±daªg±ni pavattanti. Tatiyo r³pabhave paccay±k±radassanattha½ vutto. R³pabhavasmiñhi satipi r³pasammissatte sa¼±yatana½ na pavattati. Catuttho k±mabhave paccay±k±radassanattha½ vutto. K±mabhavasmiñhi sakala½ sa¼±yatana½ pavattati. Tatiyo v± r³pabhave ceva k±mabhave ca aparipuºº±yatan±na½ akusalappavattikkhaºa½ sandh±ya vutto.
