226. Id±ni niddesav±ravasena vitth±rakath± hoti. “Avijj± paccay± saªkh±r±”ti hi vutta½. Tattha avijj±paccayesu saªkh±resu dassetabbesu yasm± putte kathetabbe paµhama½ pit± kath²yati. Evañhi sati ‘mittassa putto, dattassa putto’ti putto sukathito hoti. Tasm± desan±kusalo satth± saªkh±r±na½ janakatthena pitusadisa½ avijja½ t±va dassetu½ tattha katam± avijj±? Dukkhe aññ±ºanti-±dim±ha.
Tattha yasm± aya½ avijj± dukkhasaccassa y±th±vasarasalakkhaºa½ j±nitu½ passitu½ paµivijjhitu½ na deti, ch±detv± pariyonandhitv± ganthetv± tiµµhati, tasm± “dukkhe aññ±ºan”ti vuccati. Tath± yasm± dukkhasamudayassa dukkhanirodhassa dukkhanirodhag±miniy± paµipad±ya y±th±vasarasalakkhaºa½ j±nitu½ passitu½ paµivijjhitu½ na deti, ch±detv± pariyonandhitv± ganthetv± tiµµhati, tasm± dukkhanirodhag±miniy± paµipad±ya aññ±ºanti vuccati. Imesu cat³su µh±nesu suttantikapariy±yena aññ±ºa½ avijj±ti kathita½.
Nikkhepakaº¹e (dha. sa. 1067) pana abhidhammapariy±yena “pubbante aññ±ºan”ti aparesupi cat³su µh±nesu aññ±ºa½ gahita½. Tattha pubbanteti at²to addh±, at²t±ni khandhadh±tu-±yatan±ni. Aparanteti an±gato addh±, an±gat±ni khandhadh±tu-±yatan±ni. Pubbant±paranteti tadubhaya½. Idappaccayat±ti saªkh±r±d²na½ k±raº±ni avijj±d²ni aªg±ni. Paµiccasamuppannadhamm±ti avijj±d²hi nibbatt± saªkh±r±dayo dhamm±. Tatr±ya½ avijj± yasm± at²t±na½ khandh±d²na½ y±th±vasarasalakkhaºa½ j±nitu½ passitu½ paµivijjhitu½ na deti, ch±detv± pariyonandhitv± ganthetv± tiµµhati, tasm± “pubbante aññ±ºan”ti vuccati. Tath± yasm± an±gat±na½ khandh±d²na½, at²t±n±gat±na½ khandh±d²na½ idappaccayat±ya ceva paµiccasamuppannadhamm±nañca y±th±vasarasalakkhaºa½ j±nitu½ passitu½ paµivijjhitu½ na deti, ch±detv± pariyonandhitv± ganthetv± tiµµhati, tasm± idappaccayat±paµiccasamuppannesu dhammesu aññ±ºanti vuccati. Imesu aµµhasu µh±nesu abhidhammapariy±yena aññ±ºa½ avijj±ti kathita½.
Eva½ ki½ kathita½ hoti? Kiccato ceva j±tito ca avijj± kathit± n±ma hoti. Katha½ Ayañhi avijj± im±ni aµµha µh±n±ni j±nitu½ passitu½ paµivijjhitu½ na det²ti kiccato kathit±; uppajjam±n±pi imesu aµµhasu µh±nesu uppajjat²ti j±titopi kathit±. Eva½ kathetv± puna “ya½ evar³pa½ aññ±ºa½ adassanan”ti-±d²ni pañcav²sati pad±ni avijj±ya lakkhaºa½ dassetu½ gahit±ni.
Tattha yasm± aya½ avijj± imehi aµµhahi padehi kathit±pi puna pañcav²satiy± padehi lakkhaºe akathite sukathit± n±ma na hoti, lakkhaºe pana kathiteyeva sukathit± n±ma hoti. Yath± puriso naµµha½ goºa½ pariyesam±no manusse puccheyya– “api, ayy±, seta½ goºa½ passatha, ratta½ goºa½ passath±”ti? Te eva½ vadeyyu½– “imasmi½ raµµhe setaratt±na½ goº±na½ anto natthi, ki½ te goºassa lakkhaºan”ti? Atha tena ‘saªgh±µi’ v± ‘naªgala½’ v±ti vutte goºo sukathito n±ma bhaveyya; evameva yasm± aya½ avijj± aµµhahi padehi kathit±pi puna pañcav²satiy± padehi lakkhaºe akathite sukathit± n±ma na hoti, lakkhaºe pana kathiteyeva sukathit± n±ma hoti. Tasm± y±nass± lakkhaºadassanattha½ pañcav²sati pad±ni kathit±ni, tesampi vasena veditabb±.
Seyyathida½– ñ±ºa½ n±ma paññ±. S± atthattha½ k±raºak±raºa½ catusaccadhamma½ vidita½ p±kaµa½ karoti. Aya½ pana avijj± uppajjitv± ta½ vidita½ p±kaµa½ k±tu½ na det²ti ñ±ºapaccan²kato aññ±ºa½. Dassanantipi paññ±. S±pi ta½ ±k±ra½ passati. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ passitu½ na det²ti adassana½. Abhisamayotipi paññ±. S± ta½ ±k±ra½ abhisameti. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ abhisametu½ na det²ti anabhisamayo. Anubodho sambodho paµivedhotipi paññ±. S± ta½ ±k±ra½ anubujjhati sambujjhati paµivijjhati. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ anubujjhitu½ sa½bujjhitu½ paµivijjhitu½ na det²ti ananubodho asambodho appaµivedho. Saªg±han±tipi paññ±. S± ta½ ±k±ra½ gahetv± gha½sitv± gaºh±ti. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ gahetv± gha½sitv± gaºhitu½ na det²ti asaªg±han±. Pariyog±han±tipi paññ±. S± ta½ ±k±ra½ og±hitv± anupavisitv± gaºh±ti. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ og±hitv± anupavisitv± gaºhitu½ na det²ti apariyog±han±. Samapekkhan±tipi paññ± S± ta½ ±k±ra½ sama½ samm± ca pekkhati. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ sama½ samm± ca pekkhitu½ na det²ti asamapekkhan±. Paccavekkhaº±tipi paññ±. S± ta½ ±k±ra½ paccavekkhati. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ paccavekkhitu½ na det²ti apaccavekkhaº±. N±ss± kiñci kamma½ paccakkha½ atthi, sayañca apaccavekkhitv± kata½ kammanti apaccakkhakamma½. Dummedhabh±vat±ya dummejjha½. B±labh±vat±ya b±lya½.
Sampajaññantipi paññ±. S± atthattha½ k±raºak±raºa½ catusaccadhamma½ samm± paj±n±ti. Avijj± pana uppajjitv± ta½ ±k±ra½ paj±nitu½ na det²ti asampajañña½. Mohanavasena moho. Pamohanavasena pamoho. Sammohanavasena sammoho. Avindiya½ vindat²ti-±divasena avijj±. Vaµµasmi½ ohanati os²d±pet²ti avijjogho. Vaµµasmi½ yojet²ti avijj±yogo. Appah²navasena punappuna½ uppajjanato ca avijj±nusayo. Magge pariyuµµhitacor± addhike viya kusalacitta½ pariyuµµh±ti gaºh±ti vilumpat²ti avijj±pariyuµµh±na½. Yath± nagaradv±re palighasaªkh±t±ya laªgiy± patit±ya antonagare manuss±na½ bahinagaragamanampi bahinagare manuss±na½ antonagarapavesanampi pacchijjati, evameva yassa sakk±yanagare aya½ patit± tassa nibb±nasamp±paka½ ñ±ºagamana½ pacchijjat²ti avijj±laªg² n±ma hoti. Akusalañca ta½ m³lañca, akusal±na½ v± m³lanti akusalam³la½. Ta½ pana na añña½, idh±dhippeto mohoti moho akusalam³la½. Aya½ vuccati avijj±ti aya½ eva½lakkhaº± avijj± n±m±ti vuccati. Eva½ pañcav²satipadavasena avijj±ya lakkhaºa½ veditabba½.
Eva½lakkhaº± pan±ya½ avijj± dukkh±d²su aññ±ºanti vutt±pi dukkhasaccassa ekadeso hoti, sahaj±t± hoti, ta½ ±rammaºa½ karoti, ch±deti; samudayasaccassa na ekadeso hoti, sahaj±t± hoti, ta½ ±rammaºa½ karoti, ch±deti; nirodhasaccassa neva ekadeso hoti, na sahaj±t±, na ta½ ±rammaºa½ karoti, kevala½ ch±deti; maggasaccass±pi na ekadeso, na sahaj±t±, na ta½ ±rammaºa½ karoti, kevala½ ch±deti. Dukkh±rammaºat± avijj± uppajjati, tañca ch±deti. Samuday±rammaºat± avijj± uppajjati, tañca ch±deti. Nirodh±rammaºat± avijj± nuppajjati, tañca ch±deti. Magg±rammaºat± avijj± n³ppajjati, tañca ch±deti.
Dve sacc± duddasatt± gambh²r±. Dve sacc± gambh²ratt± duddas±. Apica kho pana dukkhanirodha½ ariyasacca½ gambh²rañceva duddasañca. Tattha dukkha½ n±ma p±kaµa½, lakkhaºassa pana duddasatt± gambh²ra½ n±ma j±ta½. Samudayepi eseva nayo. Yath± pana mah±samudda½ manthetv± oj±ya n²haraºa½ n±ma bh±ro, sinerup±dato v±lik±ya uddharaºa½ n±ma bh±ro, pabbata½ p²¼etv± rasassa n²haraºa½ n±ma bh±ro; evameva dve sacc±ni gambh²rat±ya eva duddas±ni, nirodhasacca½ pana atigambh²rañca atiduddasañc±ti. Eva½ duddasatt± gambh²r±na½ gambh²ratt± ca duddas±na½ catunna½ ariyasacc±na½ paµicch±daka½ mohandhak±ra½ aya½ vuccati avijj±ti.
