8. Id±ni abhidhammassa gambh²ratthatt± atthappak±sanassa dukkarabh±va½ d²petu½ “visuddh±c±ras²len±”ti-±din± abhiy±cana½ dasseti. Thullaccay±divisuddhiy± visuddh±c±ro, p±r±jikasaªgh±disesavisuddhiy± visuddhas²lo. C±rittav±rittavisuddhiy± v± visuddh±c±ras²lo, tena. Sakkaccanti citti½ katv±. Abhiy±citoti abhimukha½ y±cito. Tena an±dariya½ atthappak±sane k±tu½ asakkuºeyya½ dasseti.
9. Id±ni yassa attha½ pak±setuk±mo, ta½ dassetu½ “ya½ devadevo”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha yanti abhidhamma½. Devadevoti visuddhisammuti-upapattidev±na½ devo. Loke hi ye “saraºa½ par±yaºan”ti gantabb± gatibh³t±, te “dev±”ti vuccanti, bhagav± ca sabbadev±na½ gatibh³toti Nayatoti saªkhepato. Sam±cikkh²ti samm± ±cikkhi yath± thero bujjhati. 10-12. Yañc±ti yañca abhidhamma½ bhikkh³na½ payirud±h±s²ti sambandho. Payirud±h±s²ti kathesi. It²ti imin± anukkamena. “Yo dh±rito”ti yanti upayogavasena vutto ya½-saddo dh±ritoti paccattena sambajjham±no paccattavasena pariºamati, tasm± yo dh±rito, yo ca saªg²to, tassa attha½ pak±sayiss±m²ti yojan± k±tabb±. Vedena paññ±ya ²hati pavattat²ti vedeho, tena munin±. Abhiºhasoti bahuso. Abhidhammass±ti eta½ “attha½ pak±sayiss±m²”ti etena yojetabba½. Id±ni yo atthappak±sanassa nissayo, ta½ dassetu½ “±dito”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha ±ditoti ±dimhi paµhamasaªg²tiya½.

17. Tosayanto vicakkhaºeti vicakkhaºe tosayanto gahetabba½ gahetv±n±ti eva½ yojetv± “gahetabbaµµh±neyeva gahita½ suµµhu katan”ti eva½ tosayantoti attha½ vadanti. Eva½ sati gahetabbaggahaºeneva tosana½ kata½, na aññena atthappak±sanen±ti eta½ ±pajjeyya. Tosayanto attha½ pak±sayiss±m²ti eva½ pana yojan±ya sati gahetabbaggahaºa½ aññañca sabba½ atthappak±sana½ hot²ti sabbena tena tosana½ kata½ hoti, tasm± tosayanto attha½ pak±sayiss±m²ti yuttar³p±.
18-20. Id±ni ya½ atthappak±sana½ kattuk±mo, tassa mahatta½ pariharitu½ “kammaµµh±n±n²”ti-±dim±ha. Atthavaººananti ettha vaººan± n±ma vivaritv± vitth±retv± vacana½.
