Samatho hot²ti-±d²su ańńesu kiccesu vikkhepasamanato samatho. Akusalappavattiya½ citta½ paggaŗh±t²ti pagg±ho. Na vikkhipat²ti avikkhepo.
Imasmi½ citte saddh±, sati, pańń±, cha yuga¼ak±n²ti ime dhamm± na gahit±. Kasm±? Assaddhiyacitte pas±do n±ma natthi. Tasm± t±va saddh± na gahit±. Tattha chand±dayo heµµh± vuttanayeneva veditabb±. Kevalańhi te kusal±, ime akusal±. Itara½ pana uddhatassa bh±vo ‘uddhacca½’. Ta½ cetaso av³pasamalakkhaŗa½ v±t±bhigh±tacalajala½ viya, anavaµµh±narasa½ v±t±bhigh±tacaladhajapaµ±k± viya, bhantattapaccupaµµh±na½ p±s±ŗ±bhigh±tasamuddhatabhasm± viya, cetaso av³pasame ayonisomanasik±rapadaµµh±na½.
