Yo tasmi½ samaye phassoti tasmi½ samaye yo phusanakavasena uppanno phasso, so phassoti. Ida½ phassassa sabh±vad²panato sabh±vapada½ n±ma. Phusan±ti phusan±k±ro. Samphusan±ti phusan±k±rova upasaggena pada½ va¹¹hetv± vutto. Samphusitattanti samphusitabh±vo. N±n± hont±nipi pana n±man±nattena lakkhaºan±nattena kiccan±nattena paµikkhepan±natten±ti imehi cat³hi k±raºehi n±n± honti. Tattha katamo tasmi½ samaye by±p±do hoti? Yo tasmi½ samaye doso dussan±ti (dha. sa. 419) ettha by±p±doti v±, dosoti v±, dvepi ete kodho eva, n±mena n±natta½ gat±ti. Eva½ ‘n±man±nattena’ n±natta½ veditabba½.
R±saµµhena ca pañcapi khandh± ekova khandho hoti. Ettha pana r³pa½ ruppanalakkhaºa½, vedan± vedayitalakkhaº±, saññ± sañj±nanalakkhaº±, cetan± cetayitalakkhaº±, viññ±ºa½ vij±nanalakkhaºanti imin± lakkhaºan±nattena pañcakkhandh± honti. Eva½ ‘lakkhaºan±nattena’ n±natta½ veditabba½.
Catt±ro sammappadh±n±– “idha bhikkhu anuppann±na½ p±pak±na½ akusal±na½ dhamm±na½ anupp±d±ya…pe… citta½ paggaºh±ti padahat²”ti (vibha. 390; d². ni. 2.402) ekameva v²riya½ kiccan±nattena cat³su µh±nesu ±gata½. Eva½ ‘kiccan±nattena’ n±natta½ veditabba½.
Catt±ro asaddhamm±– kodhagarut± na saddhammagarut±, makkhagarut± na saddhammagarut±, l±bhagarut± na saddhammagarut±, sakk±ragarut± na saddhammagarut±ti, evam±d²su (a. ni. 4.44) pana ‘paµikkhepan±nattena’ n±natta½ veditabba½.
Im±ni pana catt±ri n±natt±ni na phasseyeva labbhanti, sabbesupi phassapañcak±d²su labbhanti. Phassassa hi phassoti n±ma½…pe… cittassa cittanti. Phasso ca phusanalakkhaºo, vedan± vedayitalakkhaº±, saññ± sañj±nanalakkhaº±, cetan± cetayitalakkhaº±, viññ±ºa½ vij±nanalakkhaºa½. Tath± phasso phusanakicco, vedan± anubhavanakicc±, saññ± sañj±nanakicc±, cetan± cetayitakicc±, viññ±ºa½ vij±nanakiccanti. Eva½ kiccan±nattena n±natta½ veditabba½.
Paµikkhepan±natta½ phassapañcamake natthi. Alobh±diniddese pana alobho alubbhan± alubbhitattanti-±din± nayena labbhat²ti eva½ paµikkhepan±nattena n±natta½ veditabba½. Eva½ sabbapadaniddesesu labbham±navasena catubbidhampi n±natta½ veditabba½.
Aparad²pan± pana padatthuti v± hoti da¼h²kamma½ v±ti eva½ dve µh±n±ni gacchati. Yaµµhikoµiy± upp²¼entena viya hi sakimeva phassoti vutte eta½ pada½ phullitamaº¹itavibh³sita½ n±ma na hoti. Punappuna½ byañjanavasena upasaggavasena atthavasena ‘phasso phusan± samphusan± samphusitattan’ti vutte phullitamaº¹itavibh³sita½ n±ma hoti. Yath± hi daharakum±ra½ nh±petv±, manorama½ vattha½ paridah±petv± pupph±ni pi¼andh±petv± akkh²ni añjetv± athassa nal±µe ekameva manosil±bindu½ kareyyu½, tassa na ett±vat± cittatilako n±ma hoti. N±n±vaººehi pana pariv±retv± bind³su katesu cittatilako n±ma hoti. Eva½sampadamida½ veditabba½. Aya½ ‘padatthuti’ n±ma.
Byañjanavasena upasaggavasena atthavasena ca punappuna½ bhaºanameva da¼h²kamma½ n±ma. Yath± hi ‘±vuso’ti v± ‘bhante’ti v± ‘yakkho’ti v± ‘sappo’ti v± vutte da¼h²kamma½ n±ma na hoti. ‘¾vuso ±vuso’‘bhante bhante’‘yakkho yakkho’‘sappo sappo’ti vutte pana da¼h²kamma½ n±ma hoti. Evameva sakideva yaµµhikoµiy± upp²¼entena viya ‘phasso’ti vutte pada½ da¼h²kamma½ n±ma na hoti. Punappuna½ byañjanavasena upasaggavasena atthavasena ‘phasso phusan± samphusan± samphusitattan’ti vutteyeva ‘da¼h²kamma½’ n±ma hot²ti. Eva½ aparad²pan± dve µh±n±ni gacchati. Etass±pi vasena labbham±nakapadaniddesesu sabbattha attho veditabbo.
Aya½ tasmi½ samaye phasso hot²ti yasmi½ samaye paµhama½ k±m±vacara½ mah±kusalacitta½ uppajjati, tasmi½ samaye aya½ phasso n±ma hot²ti attho. Aya½ t±va phassapadaniddesassa vaººan±. Ito paresu pana vedan±d²na½ pad±na½ niddesesu visesamattameva vaººayiss±ma. Sesa½ idha vuttanayeneva veditabba½.
3. Ya½ tasmi½ samayeti ettha kiñc±pi katam± tasmi½ samaye vedan± hot²ti ±raddha½, ‘s±tapadavasena pana ‘yan’ti vutta½. Tajj±manoviññ±ºadh±tusamphassajanti ettha ‘tajj±’ vuccati tassa s±tasukhassa anucchavik± s±rupp±. Anucchavikatthopi hi aya½ ‘tajj±’-saddo hoti. Yath±ha– “tajja½ tass±ruppa½ katha½ mantet²”ti (ma. ni. 3.246). Tehi v± r³p±d²hi ±rammaºehi imassa ca sukhassa paccayehi j±t±tipi tajj±. Manoviññ±ºameva nissattaµµhena dh±t³ti manoviññ±ºadh±tu. Samphassato j±ta½, samphasse v± j±tanti samphassaja½. Cittanissitatt± cetasika½. Madhuraµµhena s±ta½. Ida½ vutta½ hoti– ya½ tasmi½ samaye yath±vuttena atthena tajj±ya manoviññ±ºadh±tuy± samphassaja½ cetasika½ s±ta½, aya½ tasmi½ samaye vedan± hot²ti. Eva½ sabbapadehi saddhi½ yojan± veditabb±.
Id±ni cetasika½ sukhanti-±d²su cetasikapadena k±yikasukha½ paµikkhipati, sukhapadena cetasika½ dukkha½. Cetosamphassajanti cittasamphasse j±ta½. S±ta½ sukha½ vedayitanti s±ta½ vedayita½, na as±ta½ vedayita½; sukha½ vedayita½, na dukkha½ vedayita½. Parato t²ºi pad±ni itthiliªgavasena vutt±ni. S±t± vedan±, na as±t±; sukh± vedan±, na dukkh±ti. Ayameva panettha attho.
4. Saññ±niddese tajj±manoviññ±ºadh±tusamphassaj±ti tass±kusalasaññ±ya anucchavik±ya manoviññ±ºadh±tuy± samphassamhi j±t±. Saññ±ti sabh±van±ma½. Sañj±nan±ti sañj±nan±k±ro. Sañj±nitattanti sañj±nitabh±vo.
5. Cetan±niddesepi imin±va nayena veditabbo.
Cittaniddese cittavicittat±ya citta½. ¾rammaºa½ minam±na½ j±n±t²ti mano. M±nasanti mano eva. “Antalikkhacaro p±so yv±ya½ carati m±naso”ti (sa½. ni. 1.151; mah±va. 33) hi ettha pana sampayuttakadhammo ‘m±naso’ti vutto.
“Kathañhi bhagav± tuyha½, s±vako s±sane rato;
appattam±naso sekkho, k±la½ kayir± jane sut±”ti. (Sa½. ni. 1.159).
Ettha arahatta½ ‘m±nasan’ti vutta½. Idha pana ‘manova’ m±nasa½. Byañjanavasena heta½ pada½ va¹¹hita½.
Hadayanti citta½. “Citta½ v± te khipiss±mi, hadaya½ v± te ph±less±m²”ti (sa½. ni. 1.237; su. ni. ±¼avakasutta) ettha uro hadayanti vutta½. “Haday± hadaya½ maññe aññ±ya tacchat²”ti (ma. ni. 1.63) ettha citta½. “Vakka½ hadayan”ti (d². ni. 2.377; ma. ni. 1.110) ettha hadayavatthu. Idha pana cittameva abbhantaraµµhena ‘hadayan’ti vutta½. Tameva parisuddhaµµhena paº¹ara½. Bhavaªga½ sandh±yeta½ vutta½. Yath±ha– “pabhassaramida½, bhikkhave, citta½, tañca kho ±gantukehi upakkilesehi upakkiliµµhan”ti (a. ni. 1.49). Tato nikkhantatt± pana akusalampi, gaªg±ya nikkhant± nad² gaªg± viya, godh±varito nikkhant± godh±var² viya ca, paº¹arantveva vutta½.
Mano man±yatananti idha pana manoggahaºa½ manasseva ±yatanabh±vad²panattha½. Teneta½ d²peti– ‘nayida½ dev±yatana½ viya manassa ±yatanatt± man±yatana½, atha kho mano eva ±yatana½ man±yatanan’ti. Tattha niv±saµh±naµµhena ±karaµµhena samosaraºaµh±naµµhena sañj±tidesaµµhena k±raºaµµhena ca ±yatana½ veditabba½. Tath± hi loke ‘issar±yatana½ v±sudev±yatanan’ti-±d²su niv±saµµh±na½ ±yatananti vuccati. ‘Suvaºº±yatana½ rajat±yatanan’ti-±d²su ±karo. S±sane pana “manorame ±yatane sevanti na½ vihaªgam±”ti-±d²su (a. ni. 5.38) samosaraºaµµh±na½. “Dakkhiº±patho gunna½ ±yatanan”ti-±d²su sañj±tideso. “Tatra tatreva sakkhibhabbata½ p±puº±ti sati sati-±yatane”ti-±d²su (ma. ni. 3.158) k±raºa½. Idha pana sañj±tidesaµµhena samosaraºaµh±naµµhena k±raºaµµhen±ti tidh±pi vaµµati.
Phass±dayo hi dhamm± ettha sañj±yant²ti sañj±tidesaµµhenapi eta½ ±yatana½. Bahiddh± r³pasaddagandharasaphoµµhabb± ±rammaºabh±venettha osarant²ti samosaraºaµh±naµµhenapi ±yatana½. Phass±d²na½ pana sahaj±t±dipaccayaµµhena k±raºatt± k±raºaµµhenapi ±yatananti veditabba½. Manindriya½ vuttatthameva.
Vij±n±t²ti viññ±ºa½ viññ±ºameva khandho viññ±ºakkhandho. Tassa r±si-±divasena attho veditabbo. Mah±-udakakkhandhotveva saªkhya½ gacchat²ti (a. ni. 4.51). Ettha hi r±saµµhena khandho vutto. “S²lakkhandho sam±dhikkhandho”ti-±d²su (d². ni. 3.355) guºaµµhena. “Addas± kho bhagav± mahanta½ d±rukkhandhan”ti (sa½. ni. 4.241) ettha paººattimattaµµhena. Idha pana ru¼hito khandho vutto. R±saµµhena hi viññ±ºakkhandhassa ekadeso eka½ viññ±ºa½. Tasm± yath± rukkhassa ekadesa½ chindanto rukkha½ chindat²ti vuccati, evameva viññ±ºakkhandhassa ekadesabh³ta½ ekampi viññ±ºa½ ru¼hito viññ±ºakkhandhoti vutta½.
Tajj±manoviññ±ºadh±t³ti tesa½ phass±d²na½ dhamm±na½ anucchavik± manoviññ±ºadh±tu. Imasmiñhi pade ekameva citta½ minanaµµhena mano, vij±nanaµµhena viññ±ºa½, sabh±vaµµhena nissattaµµhena v± dh±t³ti t²hi n±mehi vutta½. Iti imasmi½ phassapañcamake phasso t±va yasm± phasso eva, na tajj±manoviññ±ºadh±tusamphassajo, cittañca yasm± tajj±manoviññ±ºadh±tu eva, tasm± imasmi½ padadvaye ‘tajj±manoviññ±ºadh±tusamphassaj±’ti paññatti na ±ropit±. Vitakkapad±d²su pana labbham±n±pi idha pacchinnatt± na uddhaµ±.
