Pharaºap²tiy± pana uppann±ya sakalasar²ra½ dhamitv± p³ritavatthi viya, mahat± udakoghena pakkhandapabbatakucchi viya ca anuparipphuµa½ hoti. S± panes± pañcavidh± p²ti gabbha½ gaºhant² parip±ka½ gacchant² duvidha½ passaddhi½ parip³reti– k±yapassaddhiñca cittapassaddhiñca. Passaddhi gabbha½ gaºhant² parip±ka½ gacchant² duvidha½ sukha½ parip³reti– k±yika½ cetasikañca. Tato gacchanto bh³miya½ patit±ni uppaladalan±lapatt±d²ni disv± suµµhutara½ haµµhapahaµµho hutv± gacchanto allavatthe allakese purise passeyya, vanakukkuµamor±d²na½ sadda½ suºeyya, j±tassarapariyante j±ta½ maºij±lasadisa½ n²lavanasaº¹a½ passeyya, sare j±t±ni uppalapadumakumud±d²ni passeyya, accha½ vippasanna½ udaka½ passeyya. Nhatv± ca pivitv± ca s²tacch±y±ya mandamande v±te paharante ‘aho sukha½, aho sukhan’ti vadato nipannak±lo viya balavappatta½ ±rammaºaras±nubhavan±k±rasaºµhita½ sukha½. Tasmi½ tasmi½ samaye p±kaµabh±vato ceta½ vuttanti veditabba½. Yattha pana p²ti sukhampi tattha atth²ti vuttameveta½.
Cittassekaggat±ti cittassa ekaggabh±vo; sam±dhisseta½ n±ma½. Lakkhaº±d²su panassa aµµhakath±ya½ t±va vutta½– “p±mokkhalakkhaºo ca sam±dhi avikkhepalakkhaºo ca”.
