Ya½ v±c±ya duss²lya½ ajjh±carati, tamh± sa½varo v±casikoti veditabbo. Iti samm±kammanto k±yakamma½, samm±v±c± vac²kamma½. Etasmi½ dvaye gahite samm±-±j²vo tappakkhikatt± gahitova hoti. Ya½ pana manena duss²lya½ ajjh±carati, tamh± sa½varo m±nasikoti veditabbo. So diµµhisaªkappav±y±masatisam±dhivasena pañcavidho hoti. Aya½ pañcavidhopi manokamma½ n±ma. Imasmi½ µh±ne dv±rasa½sandana½ n±ma hoti. K±yavac²dv±resu hi copana½ patv± kammapatha½ appattampi atthi, manodv±re ca samud±c±ra½ patv± kammapatha½ appattampi atthi; ta½ gahetv± ta½ta½dv±rapakkhikameva aka½su.
Tatr±ya½ nayo– yo ‘migava½ gamiss±m²’ti dhanu½ sajjeti, jiya½ vaµµeti, satti½ niseti, bhatta½ bhuñjati, vattha½ paridahati, ett±vat± k±yadv±re copana½ patta½ hoti. So araññe divasa½ caritv± antamaso sasabi¼±ramattampi na labhati, ida½ akusala½ k±yakamma½ n±ma hoti na hot²ti? Na hoti. Kasm±? Kammapatha½ appattat±ya. Kevala½ pana k±yaduccarita½ n±ma hot²ti veditabba½. Macchaggahaº±d² supayogesupi eseva nayo.

Manodv±re pana vadhakacetan±ya uppannamatt±ya eva kammapathabhedova hoti. So ca kho by±p±davasena na p±º±tip±tavasena. Akusalañhi k±yakamma½ k±yavac²dv±resu samuµµh±ti, na manodv±re; tath± akusala½ vac²kamma½. Akusala½ manokamma½ pana t²supi dv±resu samuµµh±ti; tath± kusal±ni k±yavac²manokamm±ni.

Ima½ pana pañha½ yo j±n±ti so eva½ vakkhati– ‘bh±van±mayiddhi kusal± v± hoti, aby±kat± v±; adukkhamasukhavedan²y± eva, avitakka-avic±r± eva, r³p±vacar± ev±’ti. So vattabbo– ‘p±º±tip±tacetan± kusal±d²su katara½ koµµh±sa½ bhajat²’ti? J±nanto vakkhati– ‘p±º±tip±tacetan± akusal± eva, dukkhavedan²y± eva, savitakkasavic±r± eva k±m±vacar± ev±’ti. ‘Eva½ sante tava pañho neva kusalattikena sameti, na vedan±ttikena na vitakkattikena, na bh³mantaren±’ti.
‘Ki½ pana eva½ mahanta½ sutta½ niratthakan’ti? ‘No niratthaka½; tva½ panassa attha½ na j±n±si. “Iddhim± cetovasippatto”ti ettha hi neva bh±van±mayiddhi adhippet±, ±thabbaºiddhi pana adhippet±. S± hi ettha labbham±n± labbhati. So vattabbo– ‘ki½ paneta½ sutta½ neyyattha½ ud±hu n²tatthan’ti? ‘N²tatthameva mayha½ suttan’ti. So ‘m± eva½ avaca, tulayiss±massa atthan’ti vatv± eva½ pucchitabbo– ‘sampaj±namus±v±de ki½ hot²’ti? Hatthamudd±ya samuµµhitesu mus±v±d±d²su dv±rampi k±yadv±ra½, kammampi dv±ravaseneva k±yakammanti vadanto dv±ra½ rakkhati kamma½ bhindati n±ma. Tasm± ‘kamma½ rakkh±m²’ti dv±ra½ na bhinditabba½, ‘dv±ra½ rakkh±m²’ti kamma½ na bhinditabba½. Yath±vutteneva pana nayena kammañca dv±rañca veditabba½. Ettha pañcavidho asa½varo natthi Sampaµicchanasahaj±to phasso manosamphasso n±ma, cetan± manokamma½ n±ma, ta½ citta½ manokammadv±ra½ n±ma. Etth±pi asa½varo natthi.
