Y± “cat³hi vac²duccaritehi ±rati virati…pe… aya½ vuccati samm±v±c±”ti (vibha. 206), aya½ virativ±c± n±ma. “V±c± gir± byappatho ud²raŗa½ ghoso ghosakamma½ v±c± vac²bhedo”ti (dha. sa. 850), aya½ saddav±c± n±ma. Aya½ na sotavińńeyyo manovińńeyyoti mah±-aµµhakath±ya½ ±gato. ¾gamaµµhakath±su pana ‘vitakkavipph±rasaddan’ti vitakkavipph±ravasena uppanna½ vippalapant±na½ suttappamatt±d²na½ sadda½; ‘sutv±’ti ta½ sutv±, ya½ vitakkayato tassa so saddo uppanno; tassa vasena ‘evampi te mano, itthampi te mano’ti ±disat²ti vatv± vatth³nipi kathit±ni. Paµµh±nepi “cittasamuµµh±na½ sadd±yatana½ sotavińń±ŗassa ±rammaŗapaccayena paccayo”ti ±gata½. Tasm± vin± vińńattighaµµan±ya uppajjam±no asotavińńeyyo vitakkavipph±rasaddo n±ma natthi. ‘Ida½ vakkh±mi eta½ vakkh±m²’ti uppajjam±na½ pana citta½ pathav²dh±tu ±podh±tu tejodh±tu v±yodh±tu vaŗŗo gandho raso oj±ti aµµha r³p±ni samuµµh±peti. Tesa½ abbhantare cittasamuµµh±n± pathav²dh±tu up±dinnaka½ ghaµµayam±n±va uppajjati. Tena dh±tusaŖghaµµanena saheva saddo uppajjat²ti. Aya½ cittasamuµµh±nasaddo n±ma. Aya½ na vińńatti. Tass± pana cittasamuµµh±n±ya pathav²dh±tuy± up±dinnakaghaµµanassa paccayabh³to eko ±k±ravik±ro atthi, aya½ vac²vińńatti n±ma. Idh±pi hi ‘tissa, datta, mitt±’ti pakkosantassa sadda½ sutv± vińńatti½ manodv±rikacittena cintetv± ‘idańcidańca esa k±reti mańńe’ti j±n±ti. K±yavińńatti viya ca ayampi tiracch±nagat±nampi p±kaµ± hoti. ‘Ehi, y±h²’ti hi sadda½ sutv± tiracch±nagat±pi ‘ida½ n±mesa k±reti mańńe’ti ńatv± ±gacchanti ceva gacchanti ca. Tisamuµµh±nikak±ya½ c±leti na c±let²ti, aya½ pana v±ro idha na labbhati. Purimacittasamuµµh±n±ya upatthambhanakiccampi natthi. Y± pana tasmi½ vac²dv±re siddh± cetan±, y±ya mus± katheti, pesuńńa½ katheti, pharusa½ katheti, sampha½ palapati, mus±v±d±d²hi viramati, ida½ vac²kamma½ n±ma. Ito para½ sabba½ kammavavatth±nańca dv±ravavatth±nańca heµµh± vuttanayeneva veditabbanti.
